Maison Polanka: "Heaven"

Review by: geraxzaen | Source: Trip Advisor
After trekking around Asia we were ready to unwind and relax while visiting Angkor Wat. Came across Polanka online, and it was highly praised so we thought it was worth a try. Well after weeks of dodgy rooms and supposed 5 star hotels we finally found heaven. The rooms are stellar and the location exactly what we wanted, away from the crowds. The garden and the grounds are amazing. Kalimantan the dog and tin tin the rabbit are playing around at breakfast time and hundreds of colorful butterflies surround you. The hotel was the highlight of our trip

Snorkeling is great and all you need is provided. 2 pools are available for you to enjoy and I mean really enjoy. The art in the rooms and doted all over the complex are amazing. Every day I would discover something new. Once again A BIG thank you to all the staff at Tugu for making such an inportent day in my friends life a wonderful memory that I'm shor they will never forget. I know I won't. And of course thank you Chef your food was just perfect. "

Mathis Retreat: "A disconnected enclave, perfect for unwinding"

Review by: Tahermk | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is a great place to just relax, slow down and unwind. It is secluded property with a stunning rice field view and an infinity pool. The property can be hard to find, as the resort has undergone a brand change and the boards for the new MATHIS are not updated. So best to have your driver call the hotel for directions. The rooms are clean, extremely spacious and we used 3 persons in a room (with an extra bed charge) and it was still very comfortable for us. All amenities are provided as best, and the quality is excellent. The breakfast is very fresh and dinner options are quite good. The menu can be expensive for the style of resort it is - and there are few options immediately outside. But its not far from the bustling marketplace & the resort runs a ferry pickup and drop every hour during the day, which is very helpful. The wifi is very good. The TV has few channels and is very bad reception. The staff are very helpful, but sometimes find it hard to communicate easily. The property manager is very kind and does well to mingle with guests where possible. I would definitely visit again."

The River Resort: "Quite possibly the most beautiful place we’ve stayed"

Review by: Amber L | Source: Trip Advisor
"This resort is spectacular. I simply cannot fault it. The welcome was very warm and friendly. We were upgraded to a River front room which was glorious! The room is amazing - modern, light, spotlessly clean, indoor outdoor shower, most comfortable bed I've been in! The restaurant food is beautiful. Big serves and quality produce. Their homemade yogurt at breakfast is beautiful. I didn't want to leave. You must stay here! We also got picked up from Pakse, a free massage each, and dropped over to the other side of the river to catch a bus to 4000 islands."

The Hue House: "Amazing Food"

Review by: NavneetJaspal | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is my second visit and its wonderful. The Hue House is incredible with, all the authentic food from the middle of Vietnam, the wrap and rolls are delicious. The BBQ chicken and BBQ beef is awesome and a must try. We had a beautiful time here. The Roof top with an amazing View. Wonderful service and they are attentive to the needs of the customer. For foodies its a must place to try and have good time with loads of variety to choose from."

Tugu Bali: "Best man at a wedding"

Review by: Ryan B | Source: Trip Advisor
"Fantastic hotel, very well run and beautiful. Grounds were so well kept. Would highly recommend for both a short and longer stay. The food was very good. Beach goes on for miles. Hotel taxi transfers to other bars/restaurants and beaches for free. "

Maison Polanka: "Amazing! A paradise!"

Review by: Lindsy C | Source: Trip Advisor
"This was my second visit to Madison Polanka and it did not disappoint. From the minute you walk through the gate, you are greeted with peace, tranquility and beauty. The staff greet you by name, go out of their way to be helpful in every way but are not intrusive. They are thoughtful to your every need. Whether it be a cold towel when you arrive back from town, a cup of tea after your massage or buying you goggles from town when you have forgotten yours. No request is too little. This is by far the best boutique hotel I have stayed at- ever! The food is above expectation. Breakfasts are served next to the pool and lunch and dinner are a'la carte. The fish amok is amazing. Free, well maintained bikes are available for a 15 minute cycle into town, which include water, locks and ponchos during the rainy season. There is also the Friends restaurant, Marum a 5 minute walk that has beautiful food and is a NGO project. The Khmer house is out of this world, and would definitely recommend for a special romantic getaway. The rooms inside the house are also all beautiful and would thoroughly recommend. I really can't say enough about this place. You must go! Special thanks to Cathy the manager and Lawrence."

Kinabalu Park: "Amazing view, cooling and great experience"

Review by: Felicia T | Source: Trip Advisor
"I need to be at this place every year as the experiences were really great, the air much fresher compared to the city, amazing view, it was really chilling at that time about 17-19 degrees at night, but we were enjoying every moment of it. The Liwagu restaurant food was getting better compared to the last few years, the menu has been extended. However, the cakes and muffins could be better as I had last year, this year it wasn't that inviting. The next day I still see those cakes and muffins exactly at the counter, remain ""untouchable"". There are portions of the restaurant under maintenance and a huge Christmas tree is going to set up. You must visit this place for Christmas. The buffet for dinner and breakfast is ok just that it really needs some improvement to the taste. It can be much better! Last year the TV was really blurry due to the reception, I guess. But this year was better. The hotel room was clean, really comfy bed with extra blankets and pillows, really appreciate that due to the coldness. I have also forgotten 2 of my kids' jacket at the hotel, however, the ""lost and found"" team immediately took action. I have these jackets courier back to me. Really appreciate the staff effort to do extra miles for the guest. Thanks. Shall see you guys next year!"

Manda De Laos: "Be cautious"

Review by: Nathan M | Source: Trip Advisor
"First of all the place is lovely, set around 3 Lilly ponds. At night the lights are magical.try and book a pond side booth or table. The food: the portions are very large, the menu tempting but try not to over order. Food highlights: the Luang Prabang salad with Scott egg( a perfect one plate lunch in itself.the tanguy duck was perfectly cooked but the tarmarind sauce could have been richer. The pork and watercress soup was devine. Service was spot on and the new French manager was delightful. Budget on 850,000 for 2 with wine water and service Perfect for a romantic dinner/ celebration"
