Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Amazing"
Tiger Mountain Lodge is amazing. Though access may be slightly problematic for the less agile such as myself, any efforts are certainly worthwhile. My room (7) had breathtaking views over the mountains and (very kindly ) the weather Gods lifted the clouds enabling the magnificent scene to unfold. Though this reality was obviously outside the control of the lodge management , the friendly and efficient care that was delivered throughout the stay at the lodge. My food requirements are unusual to say the least, but an understanding staff managed to accommodate those peculiarities very efficiently. All aspect of care lived up to or exceeded expectations and Grateful thanks are due to a very efficient team.Rachamankha: "Top notch"
"Was hesitant at first to stay there as the competition was strong from resort chains; i dont regret it at all! Rooms were furnished very well, amenities in the room were great, staff were friendly, the bed is a bit hard, but after i mentioned it to the reception, it was fixed. It was a superb experience as no kids are there, the pool was big and clean, you get your peace of mind. Landscaping was a highlight as theuly utilised nature to their benefit. Its located in the middle of the city and close to almost all locations you want to visit in Chiang Mai. We booked the hotel driver who was a perfect tour guide and took us around. The food menu for breakfast was not extensive, nevertheless, you can tell that the quality of the food was great and the presentation was even better. "We stayed at The Village house in mid August this year (2015), and we loved every minute of our stay. The rooms are luxurious, wonderfully comfortable and thoughtfully and tastefully decorated. The hotel itself is stunning, everything has been done for you to effortlessly enjoy the stunning surroundings and allow you to fully relax. We took lots of trips from The Village House, all of which were excellent and extremely hassle free. We ate in the restaurant every day and never had a bad meal, again a really thoughtfully put together menu and everything was fabulous. "Having trekked for six days in the hills, Tiger Mountain Lodge was exactly what we needed. We arrived and were immediately offered refreshing drinks whilst sitting on the veranda looking at the stunning scenery.The view was incredible every single day and it was magical to sit out over breakfast and just see the mountains in the distance. The staff were on another level. They were so attentive, willing to do anything (which included making endless amounts of popcorn) and really professional. They knew exactly when we needed something and were polite and chatty. The rooms themselves were fantastic, the beds really comfy and the views stunning. The bathrooms too were much appreciated and the showers were very welcome after the hills! The food was five star: every day was something different and the breakfast especially wonderful. "I have been coming here on and off for a couple of years now and I am yet to be disappointed - this place is just very consistent and you can tell the head chef is actively keeping on top of his game with new creations as the seasons change! Anyone looking for exciting takes on classics, sustainable ingredients cooked with passion in a welcoming environment (and healthy glasses of wine paired) you really can't fault the place! My husband and I stayed two nights at this wonderful and cosy place at the country side in central Myanmar. The service and accomodation was excellent and the food very delicious and well prepared. We can highly recommend this lovely place if you are looking for peace and quietness in a nice setting and possibilities to do hiking and biking in the surrounding hilly landscape.Yandabo Home: "Spacious rooms, great service"
We only spent one night here, which is what we would recommend. Our room was facing the water, spacious, clean, stylish and well equipped. You have to eat at the hotel as there is no other choice, but the meal was good and service excellent. It is located close to a village famed for its pottery manufacture. A highlight for me was the superb homemade croissants and bread at breakfast. Please note there is no WiFi.
