We love this old style mansion with its many courtyards and beautiful staff. Centrally located in a fantastic preserved walled city, this property and city were a real highlight of our trip to China. The luxury tent was more than could be expected. Dhanu the guide was fantastic taking a lot of time to explain all the wildlife and finding us a leopard up close to photograph. He also spent time showing our daughter how to use her camera and while in camp to show us how to eat Sri Lankan style (with your fingers) and explain a few things about Sri Lanka. The food was out of this world and they did not hesitate to cater to my wife and daughters desire to not have spicy while at the same time experiencing Sri Lankan curries and other dishes. The rest of the staff helped to make our stay the best ever. Got to see a leopard and a couple of herds of elephants along with numerous other animals and birds. "We really had great time in Island Lodge. It deserves its name of ""secret retreat"". The location is amazing and totally surprising. The hosts really welcoming. They have decorated all the rooms and hotel with great taste. We highly recommend the boat and bike tour that give you unique experience of Mekong Delta. The homemade food is delicious and worths also the trip. Perfect getaway from Saigon...book quick there is not a lot of rooms! "muang la: "What a wonderful oasis"
"Visited very briefly during an extended planned trip and had to be dragged away otherwise we would have quite happily stayed for a lot longer!! Staff couldn't have been more attentive or friendly and every little detail had been thought through thoroughly to make you feel special. We really enjoyed the experience. Far enough from noisy Moalboal. We stayed in a private house which was huge! On the hill with our own swimming pool. The place is quite with a big garden around full of bougainvillaea and facing the sea. The Resort is very intimate with only 5 accommodations. It keep this place quiet and charming, perfect to relax, even with kids. The staff who without exception provided us with wonderful service. "Our stay at Tandjung Sari was wonderful We were looked after very well by the beautiful staff at this special Hotel. Our room was perfect, with a comfortable bed and an delightful outdoor shower. Breakfast each morning was very good with enough options to have something different each day. If you are looking for a place on a beautiful beach to unwind, relax and be completely spoiled then this is the place for you. Tandjung Sari is so much more than a hotel. You would be surprised to find that this a training school for young people, funded by the owner of the other luxury hotel Inle Princess Resort. The hotel is nicely appointed and built as stilt houses on water. There are only a few rooms so it is very private and exclusive. The young staff are well trained and helpful so service is on par with any luxury hotel. Food is great. Highlight of the day for us was having a beer at the bar and watched the sun set. "If you want a perfect place this is it. Very nice bungalows (only 6) perfect service and outstanding cooking. Basically it is strctured as a foundation (non profit). The bungalows and restaurant finance the integrated tourism school dedicated for students of a poor financial background. Since 2009 48 students yearly can learn all the basics in tourism. A splendid idea. It is worth to pay the price just for all theses reasons. Additionnally they do whatever they can to respect the environment. And all the food comes from their organic garden.
