4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "A Perfect Romantic Getaway"
"We travelled overseas for the first time and we are anxious and excited of what we're going to see. We visited Siem Reap first and then the amazing 4Rivers Floating Lodge. It was a genius idea on how it was built and Anna's dedication in preserving the river and the surroundings of Tatai is just magnificent! A perfect destination for couples. Lovely view of nature, high-class accommodation, an efficient booking system, and the warmth and hospitality is very much felt and experienced. I have to give a special shout out to the kitchen staff because I could not even find the right word to describe how delicious their food is! Beef Loklak is extraordinarily tasty, and even the simple fried rice is sumptuous! How can you not enjoy your vacation when your tummy is happy? Just as expected, 4Rivers is beautiful and would definitely come back and recommend it to our friends. "Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Heaven on Earth"
"This is the most beautiful place we have ever stayed, peace and tranquillity by the Arabian Sea, heaven on earth. The service was amazing, nothing was too much trouble, we stayed in a lovely cottage called Shanti overlooking the sea, attention to detail was of the highest standard, everything was perfect. There are just 12 cottages which make it very special. The spa was the best we have ever been too, we had a Shirodhara massage, amazing... we were rejuvenated and calmed. Breakfast was at the beach restaurant, (food was of the highest standard) after early morning yoga, what a beautiful way to start the day. We had a wonderful stay at Neeleshwar, and hope to return again. "Tugu Lombok: "Fantastic"
"I left Tugu hotel today and I must say it beat all expectations. The Rooms are beautiful, the food is amazing and service unbeatable. I was not expecting anything like this. There are 35 rooms, I think 22 were occupied when I was there but it felt like the hotel was empty (which is great). They organised a lovely snorkelling trip for us and a visit to the waterfalls. Unfortunately words can't do justice to the impeccable service and beautiful setting. If you are looking for a party hotel this is not it. But if you are looking for peace and quiet, there is nowhere else to go. "Neeleshwar Hermitage: "A perfectly relaxing idyll with fabulous staff and great food"
We stayed here for 8 days in early January & loved it. The resort is situated on a very quiet beach with golden sands & has amazing views of the sunset every evening. The pool is large & there are plenty of (very comfortable) loungers & the grounds are pretty and well maintained. There are 2 restaurants which offer different & delicious menus each day. The rooms are large, comfortable & immaculate & I really liked the half open bathroom. I had one spa treatment which was reasonably priced & very relaxing - I also appreciated the free ayurvedic consultation beforehand. We also took an evening cruise along the back waters on a houseboat organised by the hotel - we were the only people on a quite large boat so that was lovely. What really makes the resort stand out is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff - they were lovely all the way through but particularly on my husband's 50th birthday when they decorated his breakfast table with flowers, presented him with a bouquet, presented him with a personalised birthday cake (& the whole team turned out to sing happy birthday) & wrote happy birthday in flowers on the bed - all of this for free & without my requesting it. It made the day & the holiday so very special - we were really touched & very appreciative.Babe: "Excellent Food, wonderful Dining Experience"
At our 3 day stopver in KL we had on our last night diner at chef Jeff Ramsey's Babe restaurant and we're sorry not to have gone one night earlier, because we would have come again a 2nd time. The food was just excellent, and the overall dining experience outstanding. We had the 12 course Japas (Japanese Tapas) Tasting Menu for 450 Ringit (they also offer a simpler one for 350 and a premium version for 750 Ringit), and all 12 dishes had been at least very good, some of them absolutely outstanding: the Caramelized Monfish Liver was an explosion of different flavours and had a smooth but still crunchy texture. The Wagy Nigiri was remarkable in quality of meat as well as preparation. A dish named World's Juiciest Lamb Chop lived up to it's label. On top of the excellent food the service was absolutely friendly and competent, which enhanced the overall dining experience. The selection of wine served by the glass was limited, but both the 2 whites (a NZ Sauvignong and a Chilean Gewuerztraminer) and the 2 reds (a Californian Merlot and a Bordeaux) we had were very good. Lastly, the location is fantastic: the restaurant offers a panorama view of the KL skyline, best appreciated from one of the outside tables, recommend strongly to ask for pooldeck (i.e. outside) seating when offered the choice at the reservation. We definitely will go again if we come to KL.4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Splendid Relaxation"
"My husband and I ended our 14 days in Cambodia with a 3 night stay at the lodge. It was the perfect end to a wonderful trip. The food was excellent and the staff were most accommodating and friendly. The ability to jump into the river right outside the tent, then relax on the recliner - repeat - was fabulous. The excursion to the waterfalls were particularly memorable. There is no wifi service but it was not missed and added to the relaxation. A stay here goes beyond the great food and fun as the owners of the lodge make a meaningful impact to the people in the local community and the environment. A return trip to Cambodia would certainly include 4 Rivers Floating Lodge."The Island Lodge: "A gem on the Mekong river"
"A peaceful place located on a small island on the Mekong river. Perfect gate away from Ho Chi Min. Nice view on the river. Great staff and team. Awesome a la carte breakfast much better than any buffet. Possible to take boat to visit the other islands and not far away from Cai Be floating market. Very authentic and warm welcome. Do not hesitate...run for it."The Island Lodge: "A quaint oasis in the Mekong Delta"
We booked to stay at The Island Lodge for 4 nights in May 2016. After travelling through Vietnam from Hanoi and the North, and steadily heading south, we spent a couple of days in Saigon before going to the Mekong. Michel kindly arranged transfers for us from Saigon well before we left for our trip, and all went to plan. We drove down but you can get there by boat as well. It was just the perfect relax-a vous place after the hectic touring of cities. Our room overlooking the pool was excellent, and the staff were lovely, and tree so hard to please us, even though their English was not perfect- however much more perfect than our Vietnamese! It's a charming small resort, and we went on a personal tour with Michel on bikes along some amazing tracks we'd never find on our own, for around 3 hours, on the Ferry and through little villages with everyone saying hello along the way. It was a really unique and bespoke tour and Michel was the perfect host along the way. Food was great and we couldn't have been better looked after. If you are into small hotels which are well run, but offer something deferent to the big internationals, you'll love this place. It only has 12 rooms, so that'll give you an idea of how boutique it is.THE SAMAR: "Idyllic oasis perfect recovery for Angkor wat visitors"
We visited Cambodia for the sole purpose of seeing the historic and amazing Angkor wat sites. Thankfully we chose a gem of a hotel in the Samar. This is the perfect hidden gem, it is an oasis of peace and tranquility, and a unique boutique hotel. The hotel is of a high standard, with friendly helpful staff who can arrange your trips and ensure your stay is excellent. The pool is quiet and essential to aid recovery from the heat and busyness of visiting popular historic sites. Food was excellent with prompt service when required to catch your transport for touring. Rooms were clean, comfortable, peaceful and unique making your stay special. This is definitely a luxury hotel where you are made to feel special with excellent service and standards. This is a perfect special place to stay and I would definitely recommend it and will definitely return.Sukoon Houseboat: "A good break"
Quiet recluse tucked in the corner of Dal lake. The service was impeccable and Rooms clean. If there was something which could be improved it is the food, slightly bland may be catering to foreign pallets.
