Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "A royal and magical experience at the blue mansion"
"Cheong Fatt Tze mansion was on top of my to do list when I was doing my Georgetown itinerary. And I thought why not stay there. I agree it's a bit pricey. But if you want to get the real feel of the jewel of Kedah i.e. our beloved Georgetown, you should stay for one night and you will definitely not regret it. I stayed in a room called Chang Yu. It was my fairy tale come true day. I won't say that the room and amenities are very fancy and royal but the feeling one get is amazing. You get a free tour of the mansion as a plus."4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "“This is a must see -a fantastic, wonderfull and different experience”"
"After 30 minuts sailing on Tatai river we arrived at the 4 Rivers Floating Lodge. There are 12 luxus tents floating on the river. Each tent has a terrace and a bathing ladder and there is a restaurant serving wonderful food. It is placed in the middle of the jungle so here is peace and quiet except the sound of birds and fish jumping in the river. The staff is excellent and talks English. The Lodge has several excurtions. We went by boat 40 minutes to a waterfall and climbed the rocks, had lunch, enjoyed the sun and jumped in the waterfall to have a heavy back massage. After comming back we enjoyed a cocktail and had the most wonderful sunset from our terrace. We also went by boat to see fireflies lightening in the dark trees along the bank. We only stayed 2 nights but we could have stayed much longer if not for our schedule. It is a wonderful adventure experience if you want to go to a peaceful and different place. With love Vivi Lizzi, Denmark Room Tip: All the tents are the same and placed with 6 at each side of the restaurant"SUMMERTIME VILLA: "A Paradise"
Summertime Villa represents the beautiful journey of Sucheta and Hans together and their various travel tales...There will never be a dull moment during you stay! Every corner of this gorgeous place represents the taste and expertise of its beautiful owners..The staff is so helpful and polite with smiles on their faces..The meals that they serve is to die for with so much of love in it, be it local or international cuisine!! Whether watching birds, reading books or having simple conversations over a glass of wine, this place will embrace you unconditionally! Please do visit this place to add some everlasting and memorable moments in your lives......Tugu Lombok: "Quirky and Charming"
What a delight the Tugu is. My husband and I had 3 nights here in a Bhaghavat gita suite. This could not be faulted, with its unusual outside bathroom and superb view to the beach it was lovely. The staff are charming, helpful and keen to make your holiday the very best for you. Being able to eat dinner wherever in the grounds or on the beach watching the fisherman walking at low tide catching squid was a unique experience. We took a trip in a horse and cart round the local village and saw the sunset at another beach (the one at the Tugu is for sunrise!). The beach is amazing and with the Gilli isles in sight, the view is lovely. The whole place is very relaxed and I would say they have the recipe just right. We loved it and can't wait to return. The Cabochon Hotel and Residence: "Tell all my friends"
Tell all my friends - that's how i feel after 3 nights at this hygge hotel in a hipsterish area of Bangkok. The hotel is unique and delightful in every way (those seeking sterile glass and brass should look to chain hotels). Service is welcoming, helpful and gentle. My family of four (children 4 and 10) felt really comfortable and the other guests were a diverse mix of well mannered and cosmopolitan fellow travellers - we will definitely be back and will be telling our friends this is the place to stay in Bangkok!Tugu Bali: "Everything, every little detail was impeccable"
Hotel Tugu Bali cannot be faulted. A week there, and it can be stated that every little detail is of the highest quality. From Sri's glowing customer service, to Melissa's eye for detail, and 'magic pixies' who ensured that the room was flawless each and every time. The food - just magical. The service - incredible. You know why this place is so highly ranked because it should. Impeccable and closest to perfect you will find. (plus as a surfer - surfers dream with the beach just out the door.) Thank you Hotel TuguCuca: "Great restaurant"
This is the third time we have eaten at Cuca. Doesn't disappoint! The meal sizes are small and quite rich. We have enjoyed the experience each time we have been. Its not the type of restaurant you would eat in night after night but definitely worth a visit. Only negative - $15au for corkage! A bit steep when the bottle is only worth $25.Sanak Retreat Bali: "Un havre de paix au milieu des rizières"
Tandjung Sari: "Traditional Bali"
"We had been recommended Tandjung Sari by friends and were not disappointed. This resort has prime position on the beach at Sanur in Bali. The restaurant and bar look out over the beach and are a perfect way to start the day and a fun place to people watch. (...) Every one is very friendly and helpful and made our stay so comfortable. The hotel made up a beautiful flower arrangement for my birthday which was special. The food at the restaurant is top quality and the breakfasts are delicious- especially the croissants. I highly recommend this resort for a traditional style Bali holiday with lots of comforts. Can't wait to go back."David’s Kitchen: "Impeccable experience and amazing food"
My fiends and I (all in our 30s and foodies who travel all over the world) went to Davids based off a friends recommendation. When we arrived, we were so pleasantly surprised to have David himself greet us at the door. Our table was ready with a welcome sign with our names at the table (small detail that not many restaurants do). We tried 4 appetizers, 3 dinners, a dessert and signature cocktails. Every thing we ordered was so delicious and presented perfectly. The pumpkin soup was phenomenal. We also had escargot, surf and turf, lamb shank.... I can't say there was even the simplest thing that we didn't love. Knowing that we're foodies, we told David who offered to take us into the kitchen and we took pictures with all the chefs. They then followed us with a personalized email which just was the perfect end to an already fabulous! Highly recommend making a visit.... you won't regret it!
