Rachamankha: "THE BEST HOTEL IN CHIANG MAI, DO NOT CONSIDER ANYWHERE ELSE!"

Review by: andrew p | Source: tripadvisor.com
"My wife and I stayed here in May for our honeymoon, it was beyond perfection! the hotel and grounds are beautiful, it is a 5 min ride from the main market and literally a stones throw away from a temple, weekend market but located just outside the hustle and bustle allowing you to relax without the noise from the outside world. (...) The staff and Hotel Manager (Paul Walker) are what really make your stay here magical, when they found out it was our honeymoon Paul and his team went out of there way to look after us and i would like to personally thank you all for being so kind If you stay anywhere in Ching Mai please make this your first choice as i have stayed in many Hotels abroad and in Thailand but non compare to Rachamankha, When we re-visit we will not hesitate in booking here again "

Sea Dance Resort: "Honeymoon heaven"

Review by: Chr155y | Source: Trip Advisor
"What can I say this place was absolute heaven for the five days we stayed as part of our honeymoon travelling around Thailand. The cottages are beautiful with extreme care and attention to detail from the giant beds with high thread count sheets to two types of blinds, one to offer privacy and one to block the light completely for sleeping. The air conditioning was the best we had, modern unit with no noise at all and they even provide a mosquito racquet, flip flops and beach bag and towels. The bathroom was amazing and completely different to anything we had experienced before as it was semi outdoor and had a tropical feel to it with lots of plants but still high spec with the fixtures and fittings. The facilities are excellent in general with an infinity pool, pool bar, kayaks to borrow at no charge, excellent WiFi throughout the resort. The staff went above and beyond with their hospitality, learning each guest by name and always ready to help with a smile, Faith and Helen were especially helpful throughout our stay with advice. The breakfast area/ restaurant/ shaded area was fantastic, open air and circular and by the pool it was fab if you wanted to sit and read in the shade and have a break from the pool or just sit and watch the world go by. In the evening it had a fab atmosphere and the food served was outstanding and we ate twice here, my husband saying the soft shell crab yellow curry was the best he had all holiday. They also do a happy hour on a weds where drinks are free! What more could you want?! We also took advantage of the spa and had the most AMAZING traditional Thai massage! The woman didn’t speak much English but she definitely knew how to do a massage! We also did the Thai cooking course that the resort offers, the trip to the local market was fab and the staff so friendly and helpful! My husband found it very helpful but I would say if you’re an adept cook give it a miss, better for families or someone with not much experience (like my husband!) There’s a really handy shop just outside the resort that you can rent a scooter from which we did for 200bhat a day (£5!) and it took a couple of hours to drive around the whole island or they can organise a taxi to the local Fisherman’s village for some nice restaurants and bars and a more lively atmosphere. There is also a 7 eleven at the top of the road. This is only a small resort but perfect if you want an ultimate chilled out, relaxing and personal holiday... we would recommend it a thousand times over! Thanks for an amazing honeymoon!"

Tugu Bali: "Amazing Karma Mantra Massage"

Review by: Luke L | Source: Trip Advisor
"Went for a Karma Mantra (Chakra Awakening) massage and what an amazing experience. Very powerful and beautiful space. One of the best massages ever so I ended up booking a second one 2 days later before I left Bali to experience again. Worth every penny. Powerful ceremony after the massage after which time a plate of fruit is delivered. Nice space to integrate the energies. Must try. Also had lunch at hotel and it was amazing. Stayed March 2017, traveled solo"

The Village House: "Super!"

Review by: Matteo P | Source: tripadvisor.com
Me and my wife stayed there for 3 days, the first days of our honeymoon. It was one of the best accommodation of our Malaysian trip, it was super! Very relaxing and quiet! The staff was very helpful and the food is very good. The room is simple but very cool and romantic, the bath clean and... most of all you're in the jungle We recommend it! ;-)

Manda De Laos: "A gem"

Review by: brenda l | Source: Trip Advisor
We went here as it was close to our hotel and it was pouring with rain. We were not disappointed, the setting was lovely, set around a pond and beautifully lit. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. Well worth a visit.

Sea Dance Resort: "FLAWLESS — one of the biggest highlights of our Thailand trip"

Review by: Nicole R | Source: Trip Advisor
We visited Koh Samui at the very end of our 2-week Thailand trip &, specifically, Sea Dance Resort. Our stay was, honestly, flawless. It started with a very quaint, beautiful, well-cared for resort where we were warmly greeted upon arrival & given some nice juice drinks as a welcome. Then, we went to our bungalow/room which was so stinkin' cool! It's this round, stand-alone building with a king bed in the center, little desk & day bed along the wall (which our 8 year-old son slept in comfortably). Even better, the shower, toilet & vanity were connected & outdoors. It was really special & well-done. We happened to arrive on a Wednesday evening & every week they do a complimentary happy hour from 6-7 by the water & you have a terrific cocktail or glass or wine by the sea & a band plays. You socialize with the staff & we particularly enjoyed talking to Rory, who we soon learned owns the resort. He is SO kind & personable & caring about his guests, as is the entire staff (Faith, Helen, John, etc.), I was impressed that they learned/knew my & my families names immediately & there IS a casualness to everyone yet their service is spot-on. Little examples-- we were goofing around in the pool & when we came out fresh towels & glasses of water were on our chairs. On one hot day they brought around gin & tonic popsicles for the adults, juice popsicles for the kids. The breakfasts are excellent with an egg station, tons of fresh fruits & pastries, Asian foods, cereal, juices, espresso drinks & so on. There are kayaks & SUPs you can borrow & lots of beautiful places throughout the resort where you can sit on a bench & relax. The staff took a particular liking to my son & went above & beyond by allowing him to feed their koi fish, giving him little treats, etc. We encountered a couple from S Africa who said they could "travel anywhere" but they choose to come back to Koh Samui & more specifically Sea Dance again & again because of the staff & resort; that spoke volumes. I have traveled a lot & Sea Dance is in my Top 3, best hotel experiences, ever. Partly because of the wonderful resort, even moreso because of the people.

Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Lovely"

Review by: stephan j | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is our second visit to Golden Buddha, the first was 4 years. I would say that many things have improved since then, First and foremost, the new manager, Massi, is truly wonderful - what a change! The restaurant have been rebuilt and now looks more smart, a new shop has been added and a pizza bar near the beach has been built. The staff is extremely friendly and smiley - many thanks to Nin, who works at the restaurant - she is a gem. The massages, we had one every day for 11 days are great too. We loved the food, but I think guests would welcome a slightly wider selection of dishes. The villas are truly well kept and very comfortable - I would recommend staying in a beachfront one and away from the restaurant. You also may want to check how close your particular cottage is to the neighbouring one. the island, with its long, deserted beaches is unique. the fact that there are truly just 3 resorts, of which Golden Buddha is the smartest, remains a big plus to us. There are a couple of things we were not too keen on. I should say that we decided to return to Golden Buddha to relax, enjoy the peace and quietness and pick up yoga again. Since our last visit the resort seems to have become popular with families with young children. Whilst some kids were well behaved, others where not and it made dinner and breakfast at the clubhouse less enjoyable that it might have been. The biggest disappointment were the yoga classes. Alex, the so called teaches ranted at each lesson about, what he called, new age yoga. Basically everything but the pure original yoga. He therefore stated that he was tracking Indian gymnastic instead. What was most annoying was his lack of interest and the fact that he did not want to correct people, hence, in my view, did not teach at all. Lastly, prices for food and massages were a tini bit high I thought and I would recommend that the resort buys lounge chairs for all its guests. In any case, I would still highly recommend Golden Buddha,. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"

Jing’s Residence: "Luxury hotel in the middle of an ancient walled city"

Review by: Mashie47 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Stayed here for two night during our tour of China. Unexpectedly luxurious hotel in the middle of Pingyao - also very expensive particularly when compared to any other hotel in Pingyao. Having said the above the service was faultless and the hotel was clean and comfortable - which considering the coal dust in the air must have taken some doing. Breakfasts were OK but the evening meals were very good indeed."

Manda De Laos: "Make a reservation!"

Review by: Tricia9898 | Source: Trip Advisor
Rarely will I opt for a set menu, but here it was so worth it. So nice to try all the different offerings. Service was wonderful and wine selection was good. Romantic setting but also appropriate for friends who just want to have a nice relaxed setting.

Villa Song Saigon: "Villa Song made Ho Chi Minh City a magical stay"

Review by: andrewqc | Source: Trip Advisor
"Villa Song is beautifully located on the Saigon River, with gorgeous views for 220 degrees. While away from the downtown, there is no problem with access: the boat shuttle is less than 15 minutes and a stunning architectural tour of HCMC, and taxis are inexpensive. The Villa Song is an oasis of calm with wonderful service that is attentive without being intrusive. Gracious, accommodating, impeccable. Room Tip: Rooms on second floor with a balcony are worth the extra price."
