Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Paradise on Earth!"
"A wonderful place, a true Paradise away from it all by the Arabian Sea. Our little cottage overlooking the sea could not have been more perfect. The bed was really comfortable. The spacious semi-open bathroom, with a palm tree growing out of it was a wow! Showering sort of “in the open” in those temperatures was wonderful. Plenty of drinking water was provided, fresh fruit and coffee when you wanted it. We didn't eat in the main restaurant but chose to eat at the beachside. Freshly caught fish cooked in your choice of style, we could never tire of such delicious food and the service was amazing. Even mentioned something we fancied that wasn't on the menu and later that day they got it in for us and said would cook it just as we liked. We even tried yoga for the first time, a session before a relaxed breakfast on the beach – try it! We went for long walks along the sandy beach and didn't see another person, just birds at the edge of the sea, fishing. The sun, the sea breeze, the quietness – truly magical. A dip in the lovely pool, then back to our cottage to lie in the hammock- this is the life! Check out the little shop, and the tailor is brilliant if you want something made in quick time. Jayan and all the staff were so friendly and made us really welcome, they were always there to help. We really hope to return to Neeleshwar – Paradise on Earth..."Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Perfection"
"My wife and I love Thailand, and we wanted to find somewhere secluded, away from the touristy areas and bustling beaches. We fortunately stumbled across what can only be described as paradise and perfection. The Golden Buddha beach resort is a mix of golden beach and tropical jungle. Nature in its purest form. And how it should be. The majority of the staff come from the local village and surrounding area, which makes the experience so much more enjoyable, beaming smiles and five star service abundant. Massi the manager and Valerie the owner are absolutely fantastic, and the place is clearly run with happiness, joy, care and love! Nature as I have mentioned is abundant; Monkeys, colourful birds, geckos, butterflies and much more blend seamlessly into the background; along with the various lodge accommodations. We stayed in sea blue 2 . Which for a couple was perfect. The sound of nothing but the sea waves and birds singing. The beach on both sides of the island is very easy swimming, no currents. The sea is warm and refreshing. The sand is like shortbread and a wonderful golden colour. Most of the time we had the beach totally to ourselves as it's so private. If you want a place to totally unwind, be at one with nature; a place which cares about its eco sustainability and local people, then this is the place for you. We stayed for 3 nights but I personally feel 5-7 nights would have been even more pleasurable. All in all a 10/10 experience and we have already made plans to return."The Island Lodge: "Chill out space extraordinaire"
You know that feeling of leaving a perfect place and grieving for that experience? Well, that is how we feel right now. The Island Lodge provided us with much needed healing and relaxation from the stresses of our work, health issues and our lives in the 'rat race'. The world is becoming a harder place but The Island Lodge provides a respite from all of that. Thank goodness for such a place. We spent most of our time outside or on our balcony watching the river life - a busy artery of interest and diversity. The breakfast was personalised - no buffet. Beautiful basket full of breads, a variety of juices, eggs to suit and more. Dinner and a nice wine list enhanced the open wall dining area so we could still see the river! Pool was the perfect temperature for me. A comment about the staff - they were gracious, polite and seemed to be able to predict your needs. Thank you to all.Satri House: "Wonderfully peaceful boutique hotel"
"Had a wonderful time at Satri house in late August for the first few days of our honeymoon. The whole hotel is full of the most fascinating antiques and curios, and is really beautifully designed. We stayed up in the Satri House suite, in the building where the prince of Laos used to sleep! The suite was so beautiful, and had a view over the serene swimming pool. If you are a fan of vintage and mid-century antiques, you will love it! Whilst staying at Satri House (due to it being the raining season) there were no other guests, so we were treated to the experience of staying in our 'own private mansion' with all of the fabulous and incredibly helpful staff there to cater for our every need. Just perfect! No matter the time of day or how late we had been out, we always returned to the hotel to find 4 people at the front desk ready to help us, and two behind the pool side bar, just in case we fancied ordering a drink! The food deserves special mention too. Dinner on the first night was delicious - lots of carefully crafted local specialities with 5* presentation. Although the hotel is set away from the main part of town, it's still within walking distance or a very easy 2 minute tuk tuk ride. We preferred being slightly further out as the peace and quiet was exactly what we wanted at the end of the day. "Dewakan: "Fabulous fine dining gastronomic experience"
If you want a superb fine dining experience with exquisitely adapted Malaysian cuisine, this is as good as it gets in KL. This restaurant is open only for dinner. Options are between a 5 course and a 10 course meal - from appetisers to dessert. All at the table must choose the same option of number of courses. Beautifully served and you will taste herbs, flowers and meats not seen on menus often. Service is unobtrusive, efficient and friendly. Good wines are on offer. Reservation needed and if you have dietary restrictions , need to advise them in advance. Chef Darren (or Darell) is extremely passionate and dishes out an outstanding fare - a la Master Chef style .Jing’s Residence: "Grande atmosfera con attenzione alla tradizione"
Satri House: "Hotel with history and great attention to details"
"We chose this hotel because of its history, it was the childhood home of the youngest prince of Laos. A good and safe 10-15min walk to riverside and restaurants and bars. Wifi was really good throughout the whole hotel. Gianni the new manager was always around the hotel grounds if you needed any help. Staff here are really helpful; one even helped me mark out some restaurant on the map that we wanted to try. Hotel should try to get a better map done vs using an internet print out. All the staff spoke fairly good English, no issues communicating just speak in simple English and not too fast. 3 staff members stood out for us;Daoluck,Thongdeuan and Chanhtalay Breakfast was made to order no crappy buffet food here.. Homemade jams that came with their toast/croissants were lovely, my fav was the tomato jam. However, their breakfast options could have been a little more flexible. Received a small snack everyday ard 2-4pm. Plenty of bottled water provided. Comfortable beds. 2 different turn down service; one in the morning/early afternoon to make the bed and tidying up and one in the evening to prepare the room for sleeping; mosquito net and even the way they fold the duvet during the evening turn down service is different for the morning service to make it easier for you to climb into bed. Top sheets available on bed(so your body doesn't come in contact with the duvet), not many 4-5star hotels practice this anymore. No ugly mosquito nets here, they have a linen mosquito canopy. Though not necessary, it would have been nice to have plush bedroom slippers as an added luxury that would help make the old wooden floors less slippery. We stayed in a deluxe room, old wooden floors creak a bit so try to get a room on the 2nd floor. No tv in the room unless requested(this definitely helps maintain the old world charm. Vintage pieces all around the hotel, there is so much history! Keep up the great work Satri House! You exceeded expectations! Room Tip: Rooms on 2nd floor away from roads"MesaStila: "Amazing!"
We just spend 4 wonderful nights at MesaStila! The good experience already started when we were picked up at the airport - our flight was delayed quiet a lot but the chauffeur was still there waiting for us with cold drinks, snacks and cold wet towels just What we needed. He also arrange for us that pizza was awaiting us when we arrived at then hotel as it would be very late before we arrived . We stayed in the family vila and it was really nice. It was spacious and with a wonderful bathroom (big golden tub) and with a huge balcony with the most amazing view. The hotel was so clean and all the surrounding at the hotel was just stunning. The staff was extremely helpful and also the food and spa was great. We also booked the combined temple sunrise tour with the hotel and that was also really good! Can only give my highest recommendation to this wonderful place!Sanak Retreat Bali: "Sanak"
Very great resort with a great personal service, the restaurant and food was amazing, best of all the hotels of where we stayed in Bali. Many thanks to the chef :-) A great and peacefull location in the middle of the Rice fields.Sandat Glamping Tents: "wonderful place"
Sadly we could only stay one night, we will definitely be back. Tasteful and top quality in every respect. We felt relaxed after one day like we'd been there a week! The staff were lovely, friendly but unobtrusive
