Labyrinth: "Gastronomical experience"
A good take of Singapore's famous and iconic dishes. The chef played with texture, sight and temperature. A witty and successful attempt. Recommend tourists and locals to visit this restaurant. I like the signature chili crab and pen cai risotto. So good I wished there was more.tugu bali: "Amazing holiday at beautiful hotel"
"Had a great week at Tugu over Christmas with family. The hotel is decorated with Balinese furniture and art, including in the rooms. Food was very good; nice choice at both the restaurant and for in-room dining. Rooms were first-class; we had a villa with private pool and it felt incredibly private. Service from the hotel staff was also excellent with great attention to make our stay very relaxing; all our needs were met including those from our impatient 5 yr old. Would definitely stay there again if we head down to Bali."Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Pretty as the pictures"
We stayed here two nights rather than the three scheduled because of a change in itinerary. Room was gorgeous, pool and gardens the same. Probably the best breakfast we had throughout our stay in Malaysia (mostly in Borneo). Front desk staff helpful in answering our questions, set up a day long tour with local guide, to visit the specific sights we wanted to see. All around excellent. We just wish we could have stayed the extra night.MesaStila: "Lovely resort set amidst Central Java Highlands"
This exclusive resort sits on a 22ha site with its own coffee plantation, organic farm and two dozen unique villas of various styles sourced from all over Central Java and Yogjakarta. Nicely tended gardens and walking path complement the daily activities to occupy guests for two or more days.Rachamankha: "Absolutely stunning"
"This is a relatively new hotel built in traditional Thai style. It is beautiful - everything about it is beautiful, the architecture, the furniture, the fittings, the ornaments, the swimming pool. Best of all is its location - easily accessible to the main temples in Chiang Mai and within walking distance of the main shopping streets. A small hotel , with friendly staff and comfortable beds. try it - I am sure you cannot fail to be impressed!"Locavore: "Wow"
We did the 7 course degustation with drink pairing, it wasn't just eating dinner, it was an amazing experience, I am so glad I decided to go all out and get the full experience, hardest part was choosing whether to go standard of vegetarian menu. Luckily I was with friends so got to sample bothMathis Retreat: "An Oasis of Calm"
We stayed at Mathis Retreat for 6 nights and loved every minute of it. I found the centre of Ubud very hectic and a little overwhelming but coming back to Mathis every night was heaven. Located around a 5 minute drive from the centre of Ubud, Mathis Retreat overlooks beautiful rice paddy fields and has its own enclosure for the gorgeous ducks (a personal favourite) and it was so peaceful. We stayed in a garden bungalow and it was beautiful, the decor was gorgeous, it was spacious and private. Only minor flaws, we found the lighting very dim, while romantic, it was hard to find things in the bottom of our suitcases and there was a little noise from scooters going up & down the dirt road next to the resort, but this was only minor and as that road only services other accommodation it's usually quiet from 10pm onwards. The food at Terracotta Restaurant was delicious, we loved dining for breakfast and dinner overlooking the rice paddies. The staff were all lovely and very helpful, beautiful smiling faces every time we saw them. As this is a boutique resort it isn't hugely busy like large resorts and nabbing a spot by the pool was easy, no lounge chair reserving needed! Initially I was worried about the volcanic threat at Mt Agung as the alert level had been raised to the highest level, but I needn't be, Mathis is a long way away and life in Ubud carried on as per usual.David’s Kitchen: "Excellent food, service and atmosphere."
I was visiting Chiang Mai for a short weekend and read about this restaurant online. Reservations were made easily online and followed up by email. The restaurant was easy to find but location change across the river. The restaurant is beautiful inside with a very cozy atmosphere. There was a live piano during my dinner, which was nice. David personally came and greeted every table. He stayed by my table for a bit because I was alone and made me feel at home. The food was exquisite. I had a raw salmon appetizer, lobster bisque, and lamb chops - all of which I would recommend. David suggested a restaurant for lunch the following day and sent me a very detailed and warm thank you email the following morning. Thank you David!Jings Residence: "Perfect"
This charming hotel reflects what for me is the real luxury rooms with all comforts but without redundancy, the materials of the hotel and the rooms are very tastefully decorated rooms, essential and refined. In a country where chinoiserie are on the agenda, see rigor and sophistication make this place a place where you want to stop and savor a bit 'of tranquility. The hospitality of the staff is absolutely the best I've found in China. I liked the fact that it is a structure with a floor, every room and it faces a courtyard, all very nice.Bassac Cruises: "An experience not to be missed"
"Boarded the Bassac at Cai Be, a well organised tour, food excellent, the varying scenery of the Mekong terrain makes you wonder how any army (even the USA) would even consider trying to subdue the residents. The was of life as explained by An the guide was an eye opener - they must be 100 years behind the rest of the country. A revelation. Guide An was excellent."
