Sukoon Houseboat: "Watch the world float by"

Review by: zzmehul | Source: Trip Advisor
We stayed at Sukoon for one night based on the recommendation of our host at the Cottage, Nigeen and can't thank him enough for making the arrangement for our stay at Sukoon. The hospitality is great, right from the time they pick you from the shore of Dal lake in their own boat. The houseboat is fabulous with great wooden furniture along with all modern comforts.the staff was very helpful and courteous The food was delicious , especially the Tea (kahwa) and coconut dessert with chocolate sauce . The upper deck was the perfect place to spend our mornings and evenings and the lower decks was the best place sit and shop and also eat the pakodas and tea from the nearby floating shop. The rooms were comfortable and finely built and well maintained.Sunrise and sunsets were beautiful. While leaving white threads were tied to our wrists for our safe journey. We were really touched by this gesture. We will defiantly come back and stay for a longer time.

Villa Song Saigon: "Great hotel away from the center"

Review by: SarahT40 | Source: tripadvisor.com
Colonial villa with smart decor. Lovely big swimming pool. Located next to the river. Enjoyed the complimentary 10 minute boat ride to center of Ho Chi Minh. Excellent restaurant. A la carte extensive breakfast menu in a lovely setting. We had two adjoining rooms with a sitting room inbetween overlooking the river. Third floor no lifts so you needed to be able to manage stairs although I think there were rooms on ground floor. Lovely atmosphere and very attentive staff.

Rachamankha: "Heaven"

Review by: msbuilding | Source: Trip Advisor
New to Thailand, we could not have wished for a better hotel. Elegant without being pretentious, staff so friendly and accommodating, food delicious and reasonably priced - breakfast was fabulous. Chiang Mai is so charming and 3 days/nights was not enough, we were sad to leave and hope to return one day.

Tugu Lombok: "Amazing"

Review by: sara_shu | Source: Trip Advisor
Although some might feel the place is too dark and is haunted, my husband and I however loved the quaint interior at the Tugu Lombok. Every piece of furniture or wall carving has been carefully chosen to decorate this hotel. The service was beyond excellent and they had an array of bespoke activities to choose from. I cant wait to come back!

Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Small Luxury Hotel Which Delivvered Great Service in Difficult Conditions"

Review by: thorpe47 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Considering the rain that this part of Thailand has had in recent weeks the level of service was excellent. The management team and staff are friendly and efficient. The quality of food is excellent and its presentation take it to the next level. Reception was happy to organise transport for us when we attended a private party and subsequently in the week when we visited Fisherman's Village. We were met at the airport by the owner of the resort Poy, and he regulalry puts in an appearance at the hotel. He can be justifably proud of his team, as they work tirelessly to .your stay is a happy one. We will be back, Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"

Muang La Lodge: "Idyllic Setting"

Review by: PaCyclist | Source: Trip Advisor
"This property is magical. It is a small boutique property offering outstanding service. While the English of some of the staff is limited, Rafael or one of his assistants is always there to make sure you have what you need and to make sure you have an outstanding experience. The guide Rafael arranged for our trip to visit surrounding villages was the best of our Lao trip. The breakfast and dinner were both top notch. Innovative, high quality really good food. The hotel also offers a hot spring, spa and private island with swimming pool. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"

Sanak Retreat Bali: "Stunning view, great boutique resort, overpriced restaurant, great villas."

Review by: EmNaMi | Source: Trip Advisor
"Sanak retreat is an wonderful butique hotel. Stunningly beautiful situated in the rice field with an amazing view. The style of the hotel is balinese with a touch of the ""shabby chick"". Most of the villas have two floors. The bottom floor is completely dark and private with plants all around and the top floor is full of light, has a splendid view, windows all around and two porches. So make a deal with your kids before you arrive! No one wants the bottom floor! The resort truly appreciates its surroundings and don't play music, which we highly appreciate!! The restaurant have an equally stunning view, the pool is beautiful with sun beds and rice fields. There were almost no mosquitos when we were there, so you could enjoy all of your evening on the porch. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was fresh and great. They do a great childrens massage in the spa. Climate is wonderful up here. Even a bit chilly in the morning! We also had a 3-hour guided tour to the nearby rice fields and a water fall arranged by the hotel. The guide was absolutely great. Spoke good english and we learned so much about Bali. It was one of our best activities on our trip. We also did a jungle trek and canoo trip on a lake also arranged by the hotel. Also recommendable. So are there any downsides of this pearl of a resort? The restaurant prices were the most expensive we encounted in all of Bali and Gili Trawangan. They charge 35.000 rupiah for a Soft drink/ Coca Cola. You really can't go anywhere nearby to eat or shop and they know it. A little bit unsympathetic to exploit this to that degree. We just came from Pemuteran where the beach front restaurant charged 10.000 rupiahs for the same. Prices were generally the double or even more on comparable food items, e.g. Nasi Goreng, Mie Goreng, Mixed skewers... Some travel agencies praise their food. We think it was okay, but not more than that. We ate all our meals here for 3 days. They have a childrens menu, but portions are so small that an 8 year old have to order two dishes to be full, so nothing saved there. A pizza is the size of a side plate. Generally the portions are small. We had no hot water for almost our entire stay. They sure tried to fix it but with no succes for more than 3 minutes. Toilets can't take paper, so you are asked to dispose it in a basket next to the toilet. Urgh! So a few downsides, but I will still recommend this boutique resort to anyone who wants to see the best of Bali. It is beautiful and you will enjoy the view!"

tugu malang: "Perfect New Year’s Eve destination"

Review by: Huibert74 | Source: tripadvisor.com
We came back to Malang because of Tugu and because we wanted to experience its New Year's Eve party. It was more than worth it. The hotel as such is still an absolutely great place to stay and the party was perfectly organized. They really knew how to get it going. We left with more good memories of Tugu Malang and certainly want to return.

Arumdalu: "A hidden getaway that’s definitely worth a visit"

Review by: mossil58 | Source: Trip Advisor
The combination of the friendly hotel staff members, luxurious villa, private beach, excellent food exceeded all our expectations of the place. The beach was nice enough for us to skip the island hopping tours couldn't get enough of the cool breeze, turquoise waters and fine sand. Would suggest visitors to stay a night at belitung city to soak in what the town has to offer then proceed to Arumdalu. This will save you the hassle of travelling to and fro the resort and the main town area as its almost a 1.5hr drive each way.
