Although the journey into the restaurant is a bit difficult to find, however, I am guarantee you will not regret on the quality of the dining experience to another level. This restaurant has been using a lot of local ingredients which the Chef himself, source all these around the entire Malaysia. Normally, we experience these ingredients through the local cuisine; but here at Dewakan, the Chef has been improvising these ingredients to a high level of dining standard, which is I can call it as Fine Dining standard. Please do not expecting some food like caviar or fois gras, it is all about for you to experience the Malaysia food, a place I call home.Heritage Suites Hotel: "A peaceful relax!"
"After spending one day visited temples of Angkor then back to hotel while offering a very special rate for me, I had an unforgettable stay with superlative decor and art designs inspired by Angkor style. I met the staff who are very warmth greeted and welcoming with a refresh drinks, i was enjoying with breakfast they served blending with master chef. Pool was huge and very refreshing moment with nice garden, the pool bar was also attracting. "A really special place in Bangkok. Unlike nearly every other hotel there, this is a low rise, colonial style hotel which is super relaxed. Located perfectly for exploring trendy Sukhimvit, you will have a wealth of great places to drink and eat within 15 min walk (again unlike many hotels which are often quite far away any cafe/bar/restaurants) Hotel itself has a real personality, feels like you've stepped into a time-warp back to 'French-indochine' times but is very nicely maintained. Rooms are spacious and comfortable with lovely hard wood flooring, huge windows. Restaurant is good for dinner, breakfast nothing special but fine. Staff very helpful, but never too pushy. In short, it's a very nice, very quiet place to hide away from the noise, smoke and general madness that is Bangkok."Heritage Suites: "Amazing Boutique Hotel"
"I stayed at the Heritage Suite Hotel for a friends wedding and it was literally the most beautiful experience. The staff are beyond helpful and lovely. The rooms are amazing. The pool is so serene! Torn as to whether to share info about this place, or keep it a secret. Stayed here in April-2014 with my partner, in water cottage number 5. The location is spectacular and the resort is just lovely. Decent food (excellent wines), high end facilities, and wonderful/friendly staff. It is truly impressive to see what the owners have accomplished here, up to and including the engagement of local stakeholders/residences to make this place part of the local community. Oh, and the diving is truly high-end... Diving is second-best ever, following Sipadan, but all in, this place was a notch above. This, and Auberge du Manoir in Chamonix France, are the only places I/we intend to revisit. Congratulations to the owners, on an impressive undertaking.Neeleshwar Hermitage: "A quiet place to relax and recharge"
Neeleshwar Hermitage is a place to take time out and relax. It is situated on the Arabian Sea, miles of empty beach and palm trees. The Rooms are comfortable and private. There are two restaurants, one in the main building and more formal, the second is set on the sand, under the palm trees facing the sea. Delicious food. I had a cookery lesson and was shown how to make dishes within five minutes which suited the individual's taste. The town was quite close by and we reached this by tuk tuk. There was also a gorgeous spa where I indulged in aromatherapy and reflexology and a discussion with a doctor on diet and general health. We also had a cruise on the Lotus, and old rice boat, which had been converted into a beautiful houseboat. The houseboat was a five minute drive from the Heritage. Strongly recommended. My husband and I went on a 2 night / 3 day day river cruise and the river cruise was one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide Jeni was fantastic and the crew could not do enough to make our trip comfortable and memorable. The Orangutans in their natural environment were a delight to watch and what magnificent creatures they are. Such a shame what the ever expanding human population is doing to these magnificent great apes....but there seems to be hope for them which is heart warming and Wow Borneo is definitely the company to book this once in a lifetime adventure with. The boat is very comfortable, except for the cold shower brrr... and the food scrumptious.Les Maisons d’Itac: "A small but fantastic resort!"
We spent a long weekend in the bamboo house at this small but beautiful resort. Great experience. You are sleeping 3 meters from the beach! You hear the waves and all kinds of sounds in the night, very relaxing. The atmosphere at the place is great. It is sort of at the end of the road, so there is no restaurants or things to do within walking distance. But the staff and the manager Bryan are very serviceminded and will help you with anything you want to do or go to. We recommend you to eat all meals at the resort and then there's no need to go anywhere else. Just stay at the resort and enjoy it. We would love to come back some day!Rahai’i Pangun: "Great crew!"
"This was my first time traveling alone, and I wasn't sure what to expect when I arrived for this portion. But I absolutely loved it. The crew was great, the guide Tri was fantastic, and the trip itself was so relaxing and interesting. We saw many orangutans in the forest (including a baby!), visited Dayak villages, and had delicious meals three times a day- and that's coming from someone who considers herself a picky eater. I absolutely recommend this tour group (and especially the boat and staff I had). I'd also suggest you go while you can- you could see gold prospecting in quite a few spots. In order for them to get at the gold, they need to burn the forest down. It also leaves large mounds of white sand along the river. It's very sad, but perhaps with an up-tick in tourism, there will be a greater push for putting a stop to this? I'd like to add while it was disturbing to see, it did not make the trip less enjoyable. Rather, it just makes me want to get more involved."Blackitch Artisan Kitchen: "An unforgettable experience"
A truly unique and distinctive experience at Blackitch Artisan Kitchen. Chef Black's philosophy around food and ethics comes through in all his dishes - local, creative, artisan and balanced. His food is innovative, experimental and he has a real flair for flavours. Chef Black explained each of his dishes as they came to the table and the processes - the majority of the food is organic and handmade. I was fascinated to hear about the fermentation processes and work he'd gone through to create the dishes - an unforgettable evening !
