Slow Private Pool Villas: "Wow and wow"
It’s hard to explain Slow in so few words. We landed with busy city brains and two kids and we left two weeks later as islanders. The staff at Slow were amazing. I felt like they took us into this cosy family. It’s been three weeks since we left and I still miss the breakfasts. The rooms were a blend of modern luxury and traditional design. All day long the sun shone and we splashed in our own private pool. After dinner there was usually a rainstorm which the kids loved. We spent our evenings listening to the tokay gecko chiming and the crickets chirping while we played cards. We will return again and again to this island paradise.Jing’s Residence: "2 nights"
his was the best pick! Everything was wonderful, the service, the breakfast, the dinners, the very friendly people. We highly recommend Jing's Residence. It is in the center of the ancient city of beautiful Pingyao, you get the feeling of living within the chinese community.Tugu Bali: "Simply perfect!"
"We stayed at Hotel Tugu for 5 nights in April in one of the Dedari Suites (with a private pool). The second you walk into the hotel you know that you are going to have an amazing time. It is stunning and has a lot of art and statues and is very tranquil. We were given a welcome drink and orientation to the hotel and then taken to our room. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The rooms are enormous, have a 4 poster bed, gorgeous bathrooms with a sunken bath, shower and separate toilet. The garden area was equally stunning with a swing sofa and pool - not big enough to exercise in but bigger than a plunge pool I would say. One thing that for me really set this hotel apart was the fact that you can eat from the a la carte menu anywhere in the hotel or grounds that you choose. In addition, breakfast was included and you also order this from the a la carte menu any time of day from 7am. This was a massive bonus - too many times on holiday you force yourself out of bed to go to breakfast but we had it in our room every day and the choice available was excellent. Afternoon tea is served every day in the lobby every day. Also, if you get the chance we had one of their set meals one night and ate in the private dining room which is like a little museum full of curios and the food was incredible. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They can't do enough for you and were always smiling and polite. The rooms were kept beautifully clean and the Balinese massage at the spa was so relaxing my husband almost fell asleep! The location is also great. Just note that although it is set by the beach (so you can hear the waves at night) that the actual hotel is not on the beachfront and there are no sun loungers available on the sand. This wasn't a problem for us but it may be for some people. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. It was relaxing, beautiful and interesting - just what we needed for a few days of peace and tranquillity!"Manda De Laos: "So nice"
Not far from night market. Food is really delicious and atmosphere is so great. Staffs can speak English, and little expensive.Sukoon Houseboat: "Surely this is the best"
"Sukoon means Peace, and this beautiful houseboat stands serene in a quiet part of Dal Lake. Hospitality begins at the jetty, with a transfer on Sukoon's big motor-powered shikara. Furnishings and beds are comfortable, bathrooms have a large tub and a large shower-stall, maintenance and cleanliness are immaculate, service is warm, discreet and highly professional. The sundeck on the roof is perfect for al fesco breakfast and lunch. What more could one want?"Sandat Glamping Tents: "HEAVEN in ubud"
stayed here for 3 nights, and could have stayed for 3 months. loved sleeping in the middle of the rice paddies outside of ubud. the staff was very welcoming and the decor was incredible. highly highly recommend!Samanea Beach Resort: "Relaxing"
"Pros: - Spacious, traditional-style villas with large bathrooms complete with outdoor showers and hot tubs - Very peaceful, lush landscaped grounds with stunning views over the Bay of Thailand and Bokor Mountain - Extremely friendly, helpful and attentive staff - Sea View restaurant menu is focused but of great quality, and the unlimited a la carte breakfast is a delightful start to the day - Lounges and huts overlooking the pool & sea are quiet and comfortable Cons - The private beach is man-made and the sea water is very shallow and not suitable for swimming - Our Junior Suite Villa front doors didn’t completely close shut Considerations: - The resort is located between a mangrove which can heighten the alert for mosquitoes - The centre of Kep is a 5 minute tuk tuk ride away Bottom Line: The Samanea Beach Resort makes for a very pleasant stay in Kep and is a great choice for its views, excellent staff and reasonable room rates for the area"Misool: "Paradise"
"Was my first time diving and I do t think I could have chosen a better world location. The trip was worth the length to go to a location where you can switch off from the world. If you want relaxation or adventure it has it all! Just happens to be in one of the most amazing locations in the world. GET THERE!"Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Paradise on earth"
"Me and my partner booked GBBR initially for only four days as we hadn't been to the island before but we got a recommendation from a local yoga teacher so we decided to give it a go. After we took a long boat from Kuraburi, we arrived to a pristine little bay welcomed by Golden Buddha team who immediately made us feel at home and showed us around the absolutely stunning resort. It's paradise! We've never seen a beach so long, clean and empty and sea so beautiful! The sand may not be white but this definitely is the most beautiful beach I've ever seen. The resort is also absolutely stunning, with a beautiful restaurant and gorgeous breakfast every morning, drinking fresh coconut juice while overlooking the sea :) Saturday nights are magical, the resort organised a bonfire on the beach with cocktails and then the most delicious seafood BBQ. The accommodation consists of different styled wooden houses, each of them with a unique design and hidden around so you always feel like you're alone in nature. What makes the whole experience even more special is the whole team at the resort, and especially Massi and Teresa , who manage the resort and took care of absolutely every single request we had and always made us feel like special guests. So the initial 4 days ended up being three weeks and we didn't want to leave even then."Inle Princess Resort: "Beautiful Hotel"
"We stayed here for 3 nights in late February. The hotel is in a beautiful area which we approached by boat. The grounds are lovely and our room looked out onto the small lake covered in lotus flowers, which was on the edge of Inle Lake itself. The room was large and airy and very comfortable. We had an inside shower and an outside shower. The cocktail bar was a beautiful area to have a quiet drink before dinner. The restaurant was great and the staff very helpful. The food was excellent. We went on several trips when we were there and each of them were by boat - very pleasant indeed. We would love to go back. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"
