David’s Kitchen: "Lovely and memorable birthday celebration"

Review by: A TripAdvisor Member | Source: Trip Advisor
Our family (with a 7yr old kid) just had dinner at David's Kitchen and it indeed lives up to its rave reviews as the top restaurant in Chiangmai. from the minute we entered the restaurant, the service was impeccable. From a personalized table signage wishing my husband and son a happy birthday to a birthday card, the birthday singing from the entire work crew and extra effort to cater to our separate tastebuds, we couldn't have asked for more for a memorable birthday celebration! I had the dinner set with the melt in your mouth pumpkin soup and beef cheeks main course. My husband had the ala carte escargots for appetizer and lobster fettuccine for his mains. It was really yummy but we thought the prawn ravioli that my son had was even better even though it cost less. The waitress was also thoughtful enough to spilt up my set menu salmon appetizer so we could both share. And another waiter was pro-active to offer my son some colouring kit to keep him occupied in a fine dining restaurant. And we also had a chance to meet David and his wife who were on hand to speak to us and wish our family the birthday greetings. His crew has certainly learnt well from the boss for all the thoughtful gestures, thank you to all!;)

Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Beautiful food, good service, nice setting"

Review by: donandkeo | Source: Trip Advisor
"We went for dinner, arriving just after opening time, with no reservation. We were lucky and got a table, but virtually all the other tables were reserved! The setting was simple but very comfortable. The service was excellent. We were very impressed by each of the dishes which had strong Thai flavors fused with Western themes. There was an excellent wine list at reasonable prices. An excellent restaurant."

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Take the tour!"

Review by: Tia M | Source: Trip Advisor
"Beautiful building - thoughtfully and aesthetically restored. There are three tours a day, 11, 2 and 3:30. Make it your priority and if you are there on a Friday, it's your lucky day. You will see why. The tour gives you a good perspective of the history and the lifestyle of the elite of Penang."

Supanniga Home: "Nice stay in Khon Kaen"

Review by: Asian_Traveler_1980 | Source: Trip Advisor
We had the Velu Villa. It is a nice modern villa of 2 rooms. The garden of the Supanniga is very nice with a lot of squirrels (so nice) but too many mosquitoes (less nice)...the staff were friendly and breakfast good. We will go back there certainly.

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Most memorable experience"

Review by: sdew360 | Source: Trip Advisor
From the moment we arrived here, we knew we'd be experiencing something very special. We felt privileged to be staying in such a sensitively preserved example of 19th century local architecture and absorbed as much as we could of the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful decor. We felt warmly welcomed by staff throughout our stay and they were so helpful in communicating with us and returning items we’d left behind in our haste to catch a flight. Personal touches to our rooms were a delight and looking back at our trip to Malaysia this summer, we all agreed our stay in Georgetown – and indeed the Cheong Fatt Tze (Blue) Mansion – was the highlight to our holiday.

The Island Lodge: "A SMALL PARADIS"

Review by: directionHGV, | Source: Trip Advisor
It was the end of our trip and we did not have much time. Nevertheless, we wanted to see the Mekong Delta. After some Internet research, I wanted to come to this lodge. In addition, it was not too far from HCMC. They sent a car. When you arrive, you wonder where you are. And you discover the lodge: an incredible location along the Mekong (private jetty), an incredible design with beautiful objects everywhere. gorgeous room with a view ... wonderful, warm pool. Attentive staff. Kitchen (in Vietnamese or French choice) delicious. We did a fantastic treatment at Spa. There are lots of activities on offer. We opted for the tour of the island next to bicycle and boat. It was beautiful and enjoyable. Anyway, congratulations to Michel and Françoise have created this little corner of dreams where everything is perfect, for which we have only one regret: not to stay longer. Thank you all for having contributed to the excellence of our trip. Helene and Jean-Michel Verdon

Villa Song Saigon: "Old School Elegance"

Review by: William_Genereux | Source: Trip Advisor
"Wow - what a place. Right on the river. To catch a ride to the heart of District 1, there is no shuttle bus. There is a shuttle boat - a speed boat. You ride up the river, past all the barges and little tugboats - past all the major waterfront development as you approach the heat and noise of Ho Chi Minh City. Villa Song is located in an exclusive old part of the city, tucked away on its own - by the water. We had a room overlooking the river. It was amazing to look out and see a container barge floating by so close. The restaurant is world class in my opinion. The chef has some great ideas about ingredients and presentation. The pool is a bit small and cramped but who cares. This is Saigon, baby. The staff were friendly and professional. We had a late checkout - no problem. The experience overall was flawless. Highly recommended. "

Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Friendly and beautiful resort"

Review by: marisolberg | Source: Trip Advisor
"Me and my friend got stuck in Samui because of a monsoon, and made a quick decision to stay at Seadance. When we got there we immediately felt right at home, and all the staff made us feel like members of the family. The weather was not on our side during the stay, but Seadance went out of their way to keep us happy. They put together parties and live music nights in order for the guests to still have a good time, the restaurant made us delicious food (try the springrolls, the crispy snapper and the white Sangria!), they helped us organize the trip home and helped us with transportation. The room was wery nice and the beds super comfy. Most of all the atmosphere at the resort was amazing. Although this was our first stay, the management and the rest of the staff made us feel like we were regulars and old friends. We would love to come back again! Stayed January 2017, traveled with friends"
