Our family of 4 stayed in a suite with balcony. Bedroom area was a little cramped with one extra bed for our girls to share, lots of room in the entrance/bathroom/balcony though. Close enough to get to town with ease and so quiet and relaxing to come back to. Kids loved the pool and we really enjoyed our included massages. The artwork and attention to detail were lovely. We arrived in Bangkok with a few hours to discover the city and enjoy the hotel. Wow - there are not enough words except to say Thank you Paul Walker at Secret - Retreats - what a place and what an amazing hotel. This is not a hotel its an experience and without doubt the best place to stay in Bangkok ! A royal palace with a difference, ooozing style, charm and service you cannot ask for anything better ! There is no way round it, this beautiful hotel is remote, it took us 5 hours to get there and the same to leave. However, the location is beautiful. The hotel is so well run, every detail is perfect. We loved the food as well.Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "A visit to paradise"
"I had another destination in mind for my Easter holidays, but a friend told me I had to go to Nepal, and especially to Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge. Great advice. The lodge is beautiful, in a magnificent location, and very comfortable. Every member of the staff was exceedingly attentive to me as well as to the other guests. Tiger Mountain was the perfect centerpiece of my first visit to Nepal. The staff was ready to make my visit as active as I wanted it to be, with many options for walking and hiking, sightseeing, or simply relaxing at the pool with one of the most fantastic views in the world. The meals were special events in themselves, with a choice of either western or Nepali cuisine. Yes, Tiger Mountain offers a glimpse of paradise. I'm not exactly sure what web thread I followed to discover this jewel of a dining experience but I'm thankful for finding it! From the moment we were escorted onto this intimate floating restaurant to our departure two hours later, we felt like royalty. Champagne, a six course Thai feast (explained each step of the way by our server), tastefully selected music, and the exotic sights of the illuminated shoreline made this absolutely remarkable.Arumdalu: "a hidden gem filled with surprises"
We never expect to find such a refine place at the very southern tip of Belitung island. A very creative and delicate cuisine, sustainable practices to save energy or natural fogging, an attentive service, large villa with private pool, 800m of white sand beach and beautiful landscape. "We stayed one night in this hotel. This hotel is really beautiful. It is authentic and well located in the city. I would definitely recommend it. The room is huge and you have a large terrace. The breakfast is really good and can be served on the terrace as well. The staff speaks a very good English and are very helpful. This hotel would be a bit more expensive than other hotels that we did in Bangkok but it is definitely worth it. We hope to come back in Bangkok and stayed there. "Don't pass up the opportunity to stay at this blissful, beautiful hotel. The rooms are fantastic, the grounds, including a fantastic pool, are beautiful and the attention to detail couldn't have been better. There are only 4 rooms plus a separate house - we stayed in the lovely yellow room. They will arrange tours to Angkor Wat though a friend recommended Dara Rann who we booked on our own (and highly recommend). The entire staff was caring and attentive and they even provided a fabulous breakfast in an insulated bag for us to take with us to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat (we were picked up at 445am). They even surprised us one evening with a birthday cake and card signed by the entire staff- thoughtful personal service indeed! You really feel as though you are in a secret hidden haven. "A lovely get away, small boutique hotel by the river. Sanctuary room with pool view was outstanding. Quiet, nice size, loved the balcony. Breakfast is fantastic, a la carte menu, wish we had more time to enjoy it. Spa is great, professional staff, loved the massage. Overall staff is doing their best to make you feel peaceful and they will help you, if needed. Will love to come back. - things for the hotel to improve; there's nowhere to hang the towels in the toilet, beds was good but needs some attention since it made noises each time one was moving and the last thing, more service by the pool. We could use a drink in the afternoon (even though room mini bar is complementary) Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"
