Jing’s Residence: "Great Property"
The highlight of our trip to Pingyao was experiencing Jing's Residence. The accommodations, staff, food, and service were 5 star all the way. Mr. Hadianas, the General Manager, and his excellent staff made you feel like one of the family. It is the ONLY place to consider when staying in Pingyao. Experience authentic old world charm while luxuriating in modern conveniences and amenities. A truly wonderful property. I highly recommend it.Le Calao: "Great food, great view!"
Delicious food in beautiful setting. Confusingly laid out menu but worth persisting with. Very empty when we were there but really hope this new restaurant takes off as it is lovely.Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Awesome fine dining in Bangkok"
"I managed to get a reservation here during a recent business trip to Bangkok. The restaurant was also incredibly accommodating to my schedule as I wasn't sure when I was going to land and get through the airport so I booked it for late, but they were willing to let me arrive earlier than my reservation. The restaurant is small and intimate though the tables were quite spread out so one could still have some privacy during dinner. Most of the patrons though were foreigners though one thai couple did come in during the night. The chef could be seen working closely with his team in the back and more often than not, would also come out to the serving area where another crew of 3-4 chefs would finalize the various dishes. Lots of people would ask to take pictures with the young chef (next time I will as well). I had their four course menu as I wasn't feeling super hungry and I was happy. I wouldn't have been able to eat the full chef tasting menu (six courses which a near by table ordered). I ordered a white and then a red glass of wine and again it was perfect for me. In the end, I was completely stuffed and very impressed with the quality of the food. It was a mix of thai mixed with western style preparation that just blew me away. I would come back here next time I am in Bangkok. One interesting note, I originally thought my server was from the US as she had what appeared to be a strong American accent, but it turned out that she had studied at a local international school which I guess were taught by American professors."Muang La Lodge: "Northern Laos a very special spa resort"
"Situated on a river with hot springs and nestled in beside a small village this Hotel taught us more about high quality cuisine and life in Laos than any other. It was unseasonably cold but with coal fires in buckets (!) at each table and a large fire pit close by we were never cold. Hotwater bottles in the beds, hot thermal tubs on stilts in amongst the trees, a pool on an island, I think you must be getting the picture that this is a pretty special place. From the hotel we visited hill villages and this is a great place to hike from. Picnics, 4x4 vehicles and guides, transfers etc all organised by this hotel. It is a remote part of Laos and therefore very unspoilt. This is a gem of a hotel in such a far away place "Les Maisons d’Itac: "beautiful property and great staff"
The property is beautiful and the pictures don't really do it justice. It is extremely peaceful and a wonderful place to stay outside of Moalboal. The staff and the community are very welcoming. Overall, a terrific trip and we certainly look forward to our next visit.
Magnifique et merci !SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Top of the class"
"We went to check out Seeds as friends and colleagues have been mentioning the name in passing . The restaurant definitely did not disappoint! The service was one of the best I have experienced in a myanmar restaurant , the staff was well trained , spoke English well , attentive , explained the dishes as they served it , which was impressive. The food was delicious, especially the truffle ravioli and the chocolate desert . The food beautifully presented . The restaurant interior and exterior was tastefully done . I wish it had the outside dining option by the lake , but the food was served only inside. The hostess was delightful , paid personal visits to every table several times . For 2 people for the dinner in the pictures plus wine cost around USD 150 but I would say it's worth it . A good venue for a celebration dinner or a nice romantic evening ."Villa Song Saigon: "Beautiful atmosphere"
"We stayed here for 2 nights in a beautiful suite. Big clean rooms, bathroom and really comfortable bed! The villa is on the Sai gon river, where you can enjoy the view having good food and drinks in the lovely garden. The breakfast starts at 6.30 a la carte and you don't need to rush because you can have it at anytime you want! Food is amazing! The swimming pool is big and beautiful. The staff is friendly, always smiling and ready to help you! We really enjoyed our stay here, if we would come back to Saigon, this would be fore sure our first choice again. "Hotel Tugu Malang: "Great historical place!"
"We had a pleasure to stay at Tugu. This hotel is like a museum -- antique collections from through out Java with some twist of local chinese immigrants house in a very nice Dutch colonial era building(s). Do not miss the complimentary afternoon teatime and snacks. You will also enjoy Melati restaurant located next to the swimming pool serving great traditional and western dishes. I recommend the ZAMRUD room (a step up) — larger than king size bed, huge handmade round bathtub and so on. We wish we had more time to explore the hotel. Perhaps next time."Samanea Beach Resort: "“Stunning location – pontoon into the sea a great plus”"
"We were only there for one night, but it's a spectacular location - 12 nicely designed bungalows in a green park where you can't see or hear your neighbors. There were two Khmer families shooting their wedding albums - which gives you some idea of how nice it was - and with a 25 mètre pool you don't need to do into the sea - but there is a 59 mètre or so pier which takes you over the initial mud and far enough out that the sea is easy to swim in Food was excellent - although slightly bizarrely they had no fish or crabs. Extremely Eco friendly, and very nice staff Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"
