Nimmu House: "Un coin de paradis"

Review by: P F | Source: Trip Advisor

Locavore: "Taste Bud Experience"

Review by: Steve B | Source: Trip Advisor
We did the 7 course lunch with drink pairing. It was a great experience and we highly recommend it. Every course was sensational. It was a 2.5 hour food session that we will remember for a long time! Only suggestion would be explanation cards on each dish and drinks written in English as the normal language barrier plus background noises made it very hard to take in everything our waitress was explaining. Thank you Lavacore and see you again next time we visit.

Maison Polanka: "Even better than advertised!"

Review by: pln61 | Source: tripadvisor.com
"To have seen the gorgeous pictures on their website and read the lovely descriptions, one might say “not possible”, but somehow, Maison Polanka manages to exceed one’s expectations --greatly! Our group stayed in the Khmer House and Green Room. Both are spacious and full of character, with an impeccable and sophisticated mix of contemporary and traditional decorations. But rest assured that here style does not come at the expense of guests’ comfort: Extremely comfortable beds; powerful and responsive AC; inviting bathrooms with walk-in showers; indulgent bed and bath linens and amenities; everything spotlessly clean; etc. (...) Service was extraordinarily attentive. At Maison Polanka, our needs and wants were not simply met, they were anticipated. A few examples of the innumerable gestures of hospitality and warmth extended to our group by Cathy and every one of the staff at Maison Polanka : Throughout our four-day stay (amidst the steamy and broiling heat of September ...), every single time we came back to the hotel, no sooner did we walk through the gate when we would be met with chilled towels and a smile; our group was eternally grateful for the abundant supply of chilled towels (with menthol) and bottled water that Maison Polanka so thoughtfully sent with our touring van; knowing our tight schedules, Cathy and Harold worked tirelessly and thoughtfully (and even with last-minute revisions) to be sure that our tours and shopping excursions met our interests; Cathy knew our flight details better than we, and she and Harold were the ones who kept checking with our airline for the most accurate updates while we shamefully lounged around; the yogurt at breakfast was so good, I offered a taste to a friend; within minutes, yogurt magically appeared on her tray. By the way, there is a great deal of talents in the kitchen at Maison Polanka where the preparations reflected a preference for refined nuances and where the presentation was visually stunning : We fell in love with Cambodian cuisine here (...) To the owners of Maison Polanka and to everyone of their amazing staff: thank you for creating for your guests this haven in Siem Reap!"

Manda De Laos: "The mother off them all"

Review by: mitchell-from-mokum | Source: Trip Advisor
"Manda means mother in Lao. And Manda de Laos beats all (so called) fancy restaurants in LP. The scenery is romantic and beautiful. Then the service, so friendly and easygoing. I love the effort every staff member takes to please you. Oh yeah, and there was food as well. We had the Manda de Laos menu (3 courses with a lot of different dishes) to have a flight through the menu. From the first to the last bite I can say that we've enjoyed every bit! Don't complain it's expensive or something in that range. You made the choice to eat here so you know the prices. If not make sure you're well informed. To give you a heads up we've paid 965.000 kip/$118,- for the menu and two cocktails. Which is comparable to European prices. If you're up for a romantic evening (or lunch) with your significant other this is the place to be in LP."

Inle Princess Resort: "Wonderfully relaxing"

Review by: CathyG69 | Source: Trip Advisor
We felt at home as soon as we arrived at this lovely resort. We had a lake view chalet close to the boat dock but there was no noise disturbance as boats are not allowed to use power engines when approaching the resort. The room was spacious and had everything that we needed. We loved sitting out on the verandah and taking in the lovely views. The resort handicraft centre is great if you want to try your hand at pottery, Shan paper making, weaving or a range of other handicrafts. The food is very good and the service excellent.

Glenburn Tea Estate: "Wonderful experience"

Review by: 63Jack | Source: Trip Advisor
Stayed here for two nights at the end of a hectic 3 week tour. The charm of the old buildings is apparent as soon as you arrive. Courteous staff ensure you settle into your accommodation [ in our case a bungalow in the grounds ]. The food is excellent and we managed to go on two accompanied walks which were great. The walk to the river was down hill all the way. On arrival, out of nowhere it seemed, a barbeque lunch with cold beer appeared ! Thankfully a 4x4 took us back up the hill to Glenburn.

Tugu Lombok: "Tropical paradise"

Review by: soil_management | Source: Trip Advisor
From the moment we were met at the airport to our departure all the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. Add into the equation a beautiful beach, amazing building and fantastic accommodation and you can see how this becomes a really memorable location for resting and relaxing. Plenty of tasty choices for meals whether you are eating in the main restaurant, on the beach, in the magnificent "wedding hall" or, as we did one evening, just the two of us up above the Hindu temple. Two large swimming pools, 1km of beach so opportunities for swimming and scuba diving. Our room has a plunge pool which was great for refreshing us. The outside bath was fun just sitting beneath the stars. We must go back.

Reverie Siam: "Perfect in every way"

Review by: 755anne | Source: Trip Advisor
Don't often write a review BUT this resort deserves a really good report. It is elegant tastefully decorated gardens are delightful and restaurant excellent. Best hotel we have stayed in ever . Very French /Asian in style and it just works so well. Staff were wonderful to us and we were in the least expensive rooms. Shuttle to town when ever we wished and pick up at our convenience. On the river and looking up to the mountains at the White budda. Well worth a visit

Maison Polanka: "An oasis in the city"

Review by: maggiekizer | Source: tripadvisor.com
We felt well taken care of by the staff - every time we arrived we were greeted with cold towels and a willingness to help with any details to make our trip more enjoyable. The property is utterly an oasis in the city - tons of greenery and the pool the perfect way to cool off on a hot afternoon. Since there are not many rooms, we felt like we had the place practically to ourselves and the peaceful atmosphere was most welcome.

Villa Song Saigon: "Luxury and serenity with wonderful service"

Review by: EmmaCM_71 | Source: tripadvisor.com
I can't say enough good things about this small luxury hotel. I wanted a short break at a boutique hotel and Villa Song Saigon surpassed my expectations. From the moment I arrived where I was upgraded to the Imperial Suite (with two private terraces, one overlooking the Saigon River and the other, a beautiful pool) to the spa (fabulous hot stone massage by Duyen) to the amazing and friendly service from every member of the hotel staff I encountered to the superb breakfasts on the banks of the Saigon River, afternoon cheese platters and great dinners, I spent four idyllic days here. The hotel is in District 2 so a little way out of the crazy bustle of Ho Chi Minh City centre but very easy to get to either by a frequently running shuttle bus from the hotel or taxi. But once you get to the hotel it is quite hard to tear yourself away. My only suggestion for improvement would be to have music in the spa if guests want it. I highly recommend Villa Song Saigon and if I come back to Ho Chi Minh City I will definitely stay here again.
