Tugu Lombok: "Seriously Stunning"

Review by: DianeDowntown | Source: Trip Advisor
Truly. If you love architecture and antiques, this place is for you. Around every corner is something beautiful or interesting. We stayed in one of the pool villas and it was gorgeous. The only slight negative was the tiling in the pool could use refurbishment as we were getting a bit of rust coming off them while swimming. The beach is incredible. Clear blue and calm. Perfect for snorkeling.Take the resort's boat to the Gilli Islands. You will not be disappointed. Hearing the call to prayer coming from the many different mosques in the area was unreal. Hearing several muezzin's singing (if that's the right word?) you to early morning prayers is my idea of heaven. Food in the restaurant was great. The resort is so large that we didn't know about the second bar/restaurant until our second night there. There was only one tiny thing that went wrong but I think it needs to be addressed. I came down with some sort of a nasty upper respiratory infection. A doctor was called in and I was given antibiotics. Only problem was, they were the completely wrong drugs. Turns out I had a double ear infection. Had the doctor diagnosed me properly my trip home wouldn't have been so uncomfortable. That being said, I knew something was wrong and on our way to the airport our driver took me to a hospital where I was given heavy duty decongestants that probably saved my ear drums. Huge kudos to him and the lovely doctors and nurses for getting me in and out of there so quickly! Even with this problem it was pretty much a perfect resort experience. We will be back!

Tugu Bali: "One of the best hotels I stayed in"

Review by: sarah d | Source: Trip Advisor
This is by far one fo the best hotel I've stayed in. The room we had was comfortable and super spacious. The staff is what makes this hotel, they are very attentive and discreet. The pool is great, the food is delicious, the location is wonderful, right next to the beach and the Old Man's restaurant/beach bar. The massages were good too. I would definitely stay there again.

Glenburn Tea Estate: "A peaceful magical getaway"

Review by: karenmulla | Source: Trip Advisor
"We were 4 families that stayed in Glenburn Tea Estate for 4 days from 26 th Dec to 30th Dec 2015. It was a SUPERB holiday. The property is awesome... Both the colonial bungalows are tastefully furnished.....we were blessed with clear skies on all the days and thus we were awed by the magnificent views of the Himalayas, of course the highlight being the Kanchenjunga....you feel one with nature here... The rooms are spotlessly clean and spacious. They've retained their old world charm. The food was great with a different cuisine being served everyday. Breakfast and lunch in the outdoors and dinner in a beautiful dining room. They even organised a lovely bonfire for us one evening! Faye and Will are lovely hosts. The staff which includes their guides, drivers, cooks, housekeeping staff... Just about everyone are fabulous. The personal attention to detail was impressive. The service faultless!!!! We spent our days hiking, fishing and just languishing on the verandah or the gardens absorbing the gorgeous view and the tranquility of Glenburn. Both our hikes, one to the suspension bridge to Sikkim and the other to the campsite at the river followed by a barbecue lunch and a game of cricket were great. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners Anshuman and Husna Tara Prakash while we were in residence. They are a super couple and their all round supervision and dedication to maintaining the high standards is evident when one talks to them. The roads to and around the tea estate are bumpy but once there it is PARADISE ON EARTH. We are all looking forward to returning to Glenburn soon. A must visit for families, friends, couples or even solo travellers. Stayed December 2015, traveled with friends"

Bali Jiwa Villa: "Pure Relaxation & Satisfaction"

Review by: Nicole P | Source: tripadvisor.com
I stayed in Bali Jiwa Villa in May 2015. I know already some places in Bali but this villa is extraordinary. You stay in a place inside the nature, surrounded from lush rice paddies with the panoramic view of Mount Batukaru and stunning sunset. The service of the lovely staff in this villa fulfilled every wish I had. I was served a delicious breakfast and dinner. Also lunch you can get there. Each villa has a private pool, bordering the rice fields...a fantastic atmosphere! I will definitively come back to this place :-D.

In addition to being a beautiful place, everything is perfect with smile on all faces. The country side is beautiful with a lot of activities for kids and adults and places to visit. Make sure you find time to challenge the landlord on pool billard, she is very good !

Cuca: "I need a six star button to review this"

Great location, stunning food, beautifully presented. Cuca is right up there among the best restaurants I have ever had the pleasure in eating in. I have been several times already and I love this place - and thankfully I live very nearby!

Reverie Siam: "My favorite place to stay in Thailand"

Review by: Kevin G | Source: tripadvisor.com
"I have been living in Thailand and travelling round the country for over 20 years and this is my favourite place to get away. it is simply magical. When you enter the resort, you get a feeling that it is different from anything thing else you may have visited in Thailand and has a lovely homely and relaxing charm about it. The resort is designed around nature and quality where ever you look. The staff are very dedicated and friendly and the food is something I would expect to find in a 5 Star hotel in Bangkok if you are looking to get away from everything and relax or have a romantic getaway, this place ticks all the boxes."

Sanak Retreat Bali: "Luxus inmitten von Reisfeldern"

Review by: flightdeck737 | Source: Trip Advisor

Sanak Retreat Bali: "Gorgeous resort to relax"

Review by: BrakelSyl | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed end of April in a 2 bedroom villa with our two teenagers. Arrived by own rental car, and found it very easy to find the accommodation, we used the off line google maps on our mobile, and there were some good signs along the way too. Got a warm welcome in the restaurant, with good explanation and a tour around our villa, which was great. The two rooms bungalows all have incredible views to the pool, rice fields and valley. We had two balconies and a verandah, it was so peaceful to sit there and enjoy the jungle concert and view the gorgeous sunsets. The pool was clean, fresh (but not too cold) and spacious, with enough sunbeds and umbrellas. We also loved the funny Indonesian food car, from which you could take the pooltowels. Several times a week the local dance group came there to practice, we loved watching the beautiful girls. With our own car we visited the Buddhist monastery, which was only 25 minutes away. Great serene place! Also did the guided trekking with Berly, which was a very sweet and knowledgable young man. The trip included a swim in the natural spring, which was very refreshing. Our villa had so much nice decorations, and blinds to keep the sun out of the room. It has 2 fans inside, and also a fan on every balcony/verandah. There was no A/C/ but it was no problem at all, this was the coolest house of all our accommodations. This is a place for fully relaxation! Love the views so much, despite there can be some fog in Munduk area, the sight here was always clear. We had some rainshowers in the afternoon, but the mornings were very clear, blue sky and warm. Only two remarks: we found the food in the restaurant too expensive for what we got, compared to our other meals on Bali (but we had our own transport, so we went to Munduk many times) and maybe the ""say goodbye"" could have been as warm as the welcome (?), like in all other places we stay on Bali. But we recommend this place to everyone, it was really a pleasure to stay here, a wonderful memory."

Tugu Lombok: "10/10!"

Review by: Phillippa C | Source: Trip Advisor
"My partner and I stayed at Tugu hotel in late September for a week and just could not speak highly enough of the place. It doesn't have the 'grand entrance' like other more commercial resorts do, but that really does work to Tugu's advantage, as it is like no other hotel you'll stay at. To make it easy for anyone deciding whether to stay here in the future, here is a list of pros and cons: Pros: - There is a lot of work gone into this hotel to make it very unique, for example; the owner/ designer has purchased many pieces of traditional antique statues from all over the show (large and small) that are randomly situated around the hotel grounds with stories all about them in regards to their history and culture. - There's a very authentic/ traditional vibe, which you cant help but feel immersed in and inspired by - The food is great. It's not a regular buffet breakfast, they make everything for you personally. P.S - The Jackfuit Curry is a must! P.P.S - I'm vegan and the staff more than catered to my needs by removing certain ingredients for me with no hassle. - Even though the place was fully booked, it never felt crowded, which made the whole stay more relaxing and enjoyable. You never had to fight for a sunbed or table etc. - The private beach is beautiful...those crystal azure blue waters that you see on postcards type of deal... (although not the best at low tide for swimming from the coral). - Lastly I would say, the staff are what made the stay just so memorable. They go out of their way to do anything to make you have a great time. At the end when we drove away, there were about 6 of them that waved us off! I almost felt emotional because they treated us like family (and I was so sad to leave)! Cons: - There's nothing really around in close vicinity to this resort (not really a con for us because the hotel is so amazing you don't really need to leave) but for the more adventurous/ partying types - this could be a negative maybe? In saying that, you can hire scooters and venture out. All in all I give Tugu the biggest thumbs up. My partner and I always talk about our stay there and how much we want to go back!"
