Tugu Bali: "Best of Bali"

Review by: mareeS55 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We are staying at Tugu Bali at present, and it is beautiful. We visit Bali often for family reasons, have stayed in lots of hotels and villas, but now I think we will look no further than Tugu for future visits. What took us so long?"

Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Heaven on earth"

Review by: gillies63 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We were two rather tired middle aged parents with two of our daughters (aged 18). Sea Dance could have been set up with just us in mind. One daughter is working out in Thailand and we came over with one of her sisters for three weeks. One of them was spent at Sea Dance and I was not joking when I told Faith that when the others left I would be hiding in the wardrobe and planned to stay forever. We booked into a double chalet. So we had two interconnecting double rooms each with gorgeous bathroom and our own private pool. Do not underestimate the bliss of a private pool. We are not talking an olympic monstrosity, even I only managed two strokes from one end to the other. On the other hand, at the end of the day we bobbed around in the pool in the warm evening sun with a G&T and the evils of work responsibilities etc melted away. We spent an afternoon with Doi (my apologies if my spelling is off) learning how to cook green curry, seafood salad and chicken and ginger stir fry. I don't care how experienced you are in the kitchen, this is worth doing. I have been cooking since I was about six, my mother is an expert in historical cooking with a library to match, there is little in the kitchen that surprises or scares me yet even I learned subtle and interesting tips. Back home a week or so I cooked Tom yum. Once I would have needed a recipe - Doi gave me the confidence to create it on my own and my super critical Tom Yum husband loved it! I also had a massage in the spa. This is not your run of the mill five star spa. This is an authentic, no English spoken, work out between you and your masseuse, spa. It was bliss. I had a several massages in thailand from the ""Oh heck put the stick away please"" foot massage in JJ market in Bangkok, to the ""oh please don't wake me up"" and ""I wasn't snoring"" massages in Chiang Mai. A bonus was that I bumped into Doi in her herb garden on my way back to our chalet. Doi gave me a guided tour around her garden, explained what she grew for the kitchen and what she grew for the spa. For an old fashioned gardener like me that was the most wonderful way to end the massage from heaven. there are any number of luxury hotels and resorts on Ko Samui. If you are looking for a personal touch, for a spot of luxury without bankruptcy and any number of wonderful, knowledgeable and friendly staff (Faith is worth twice her weight in gold at the very least) then come to Sea Dance. Or better still ...don't ...so that there will be room for us when we return. Stayed March 2017, traveled with family"

Muang La Lodge: "Super get away."

Review by: AllanRosemary | Source: Trip Advisor
"Great small lodge right on the river Ou. Indeed the swimming pool is on an island in the middle of the river that you get to via a wooden bridge. Lovely big rooms (somewhat like a Lao 'Tudor' look with all white and dark exposed timbers). Super meals ... dinner is a 5 course degustation. There is a natural hot spring that the locals use, and the lodge has permission to pump from the spring into two huge baths on small towers for the use of guests from 4.30.pm when it is still 42C - let it cool into evening a little! Great local market if you want to rise at 5.30am and have a bit of a stroll into the village. Don't miss a trip to the hill tribes. Loved this place."

Tugu Malang: "Luxury and services are beyond expectation"

Review by: AdFiaSasongko | Source: Trip Advisor
"I was there only for a day and wish to come back soon. The room was impecable, perfect with a touch of personal welcome in a card. Our room facing the front hotel but not noisy at all. The bedsheet was super clean and it was a standard five hotel services and facility. The amenities was not much but enough. Small pool but convenient enough for children. Good selection of breakfast with some a la carte menu. The hospitality is unbelievably super friendly. A typical warm small size five star hotel that you would never experience in a big busy hotel. This hotel was beautiful in a an outdated way, and you may find it quite spooky at the back part, but for some, it may be the point of attraction. "

Yandabo Home: "Spacious rooms, great service"

Review by: Mrs U | Source: Trip Advisor
We only spent one night here, which is what we would recommend. Our room was facing the water, spacious, clean, stylish and well equipped. You have to eat at the hotel as there is no other choice, but the meal was good and service excellent. It is located close to a village famed for its pottery manufacture. A highlight for me was the superb homemade croissants and bread at breakfast. Please note there is no WiFi.

Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Leopard safari"

Review by: Linda J | Source: Trip Advisor
This was a wonderful experience in a jungle camp site. Unforgettable and Sarge was a terrific ranger, cannot thank him enough. Outside eating under the stars. Leopards, a. Bear, a jackal, peacocks crocodiles etc. so exciting.

Samanea Beach Resort: "Girls Trip in Cambodia"

Review by: goadkimberly | Source: Trip Advisor
Beautiful, secluded resort. The hospitality and atmosphere is beyond expectations. We arrived in early afternoon to welcoming arms and were escorted to our villa. We enjoyed the delicious lunch and partook in 2 for 1 drinks at happy hour. When the bar tender discovered I preferred Bacardi Rum to what they offered, he went to a market and purchased it for my next drink! Unbelievable people! The servers gladly held our second round of drinks for after we returned from dinner. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and kind. The outdoor bath and shower were a perfect ending to serene and peaceful day.

Hotel Tugu Lombok: "Idyllic honeymoon"

Review by: Travelwithtoothache | Source: Trip Advisor
We spent the final week of our honeymoon at the Tugu & I would return in a heartbeat! A beautiful setting, nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff, fantastic spa, food, activities... We were lucky enough to have a private day on their dragon boat which included guided snorkelling - I was sceptical at first as to why anyone would need a guide but my goodness, he proved me wrong! He spotted so many creatures we would never have noticed & even managed to lead us into the middle of wild turtles swimming. Dinner on the beach was a nightly event, massages under the stars - you name it & the staff will make it happen. It was so difficult to tear ourselves away! A huge thank you to all the staff at the Tugu for giving us such a wonderful stay (especially the fab room cleaning team who made the most amazing towel animals I’ve ever seen & made us laugh every day!)

Tugu Lombok: "Unique, thoughtful service in a stunning location"

Review by: JohnCole99 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We spent 3 nights in Tugu and were firstly impressed by the size and beauty of the property. The long stretch of private beach and two pools offer a lot of space and comfy sun loungers. The surrounding area and restaurant/ lobby is beautiful - very authentic and often pays tribute to the Hindu religion and times gone by, but is very charming. The service is excellent - they offer a very personal service and give great advice about hotel activities and the surrounding areas. Elly and Henry in reception are brilliant. The menu is extensive and the food was good. Smoothies and cocktails are excellent. We also enjoyed a private yoga class and massage - both were great and reasonably priced. If you are looking for sun, sea, sand, good food, service, activities - then this is the place! "
