The Island Lodge: "Such a luxury shelter 2 hours from Saigon"

Review by: Francois G | Source: Trip Advisor
"Seeing some good comments on this hôtel, we changed our plans to go for this boutique hotel to spend 2 days there. The rooms have a total view on the Mekong , the pool and the restaurant also. You will live with the river while you are there. Owners dedicated all their time to create this harbor and will spend time to make you feel at home. Restaurant is at the top end of what you will find in the best hotels here in Vietnam, with a slight French touch. The ratio quality /price is high and I recommend without hesitation."

Rachamankha: "wonderful place to stay if the architecture inspires you, but not expect five-star"

Review by: Scott M | Source: Trip Advisor
The hotel is an architectural masterpiece in my view. If you share this view then you will appreciate your stay here very much. The design of the hotel creates a sense of monastic serenity within its walls. If Serenity is the result, Simplicity and Restraint are the techniques. Five primary materials are used constantly to create unity and simplicity: terra cotta roof tiles, white plaster walls, dark brown wood trim, polished concrete floors and rustic brick paved paths. The exterior spaces are where the hotel really excels: colonnades, antiques, an open-air reading and sitting area, a lovely pool lined with blue porcelain tile, and a sublime library with 12 foot high wood bookcases. Rooms are simple, keeping the inside is in harmony with the outside, and are accented by tasteful antique furniture reproductions. However, the bathroom and shower tile are noticeably below standard for a hotel of this quality. The mattress also would benefit from an upgrade and the anachronistic boom box needs to be immediately removed. Dining al fresco in the courtyard is exquisite. The flavor of my dinner was no better than what might be available at an average place outside for fewer baht, but to enjoy dinner in the calm ambience of the Rachamankha dining courtyard is a special experience. It was presented on the hotel's blue/white china, with crisp white linens. Service while dining is attentive yet unobtrusive. To go outside the perimeter walls means to leave serenity for scooter noise, and if you love the Rachamankha as much as I do then you will not want to leave.

Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "beautifuly untouched island"

Review by: Moshi B | Source: Trip Advisor
we spent 5 nights in this beautiful island. We had a great adventure including excellent meals, great snorkeling in Sourin, swimming, sun bathing, day trips in the island, kind and helpful service, meeting and fighting new creatures and more. this is a true pearl outside the "wrong path" of tourism.

Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Book this safari experience!"

Review by: Sara H | Source: Trip Advisor
"Everything about our experience was fabulous. We have stayed in some pretty swanky places on this holiday but the food served to us out of a jungle kitchen was the best. The guys were helpful and really fun to be with. We were lucky enough to see a huge male leopard and lots of other amazing animals. We stayed in the luxury air conditioned tent - my best sleep of the holiday. Everything had been thought of. I can not recommend them more highly. Other companies have tried to copy but failed."

Villa Song Saigon: "Just what we wanted"

Review by: jmjj3523 | Source: Trip Advisor
The hotel is situated a little out of the mad rush of HCMC but with the boat shuttle downtown and the pleasant outlook dining on the terrace alongside the river it was a great way to start our holiday. The staff could not have been friendlier or more professional. Their recommendations where to go in the city for money changing etc were spot on. And having an al a carte breakfast of the highest quality was a geat way to start the day. The one dinner we had here was first class and the cocktails were delightful. An indication of the quality of the hotel. It is shutting soon for renovations- the step down to the terrace does need attention- but while thta happens the staff are not laid off but are getting English lessons! And that is only building on an already first class ability to communicate in a foreign language. The attention of the staff to us was a highlight and reason in itself to return -and we shall.

The Apsara Rive Droite: "Great Location! Great Hotel"

Review by: ChasG9 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We had a main floor room. It was large and so was the bathroom. Both the bed and the bathtub were high so there may be a problem for persons with mobility problems. Air conditioned plus a fan. Well kept and clean. The hotel was one short block from the main street where the monks come every morning. It was a ten minute walk to the night market and easy walking distance to many wats nearby. Also close to boats for river trips, especially sunset cruises. Breakfast for westerners consisted of juice, fruit, bacon and eggs, local french inspired bread and coffee. highly recommended. We got a great deal at US70.00 per night. Was worth more than that. Room Tip: All rooms face the river and a busy street which is not noisy after 10:00 at night."

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Beautiful resort – well suited for relaxation"

Review by: Chan S | Source: Trip Advisor
"During our 1800km TukTuk challenge from Mumbai to Kanyakumari, we had a two night stay at the resort. On arrival at the hotel after a tiring rickshaw drive, we were greeted and offered fresh coconut water as welcome drink. We were fortunate to have a rest day at the tranquil resort - far from the madding crowd. The accommodation/bungalows were clean and well furnished. The food was good and staff very friendly, courtious and eager to help. It has a clem beach and swimming in the sea was very enjoyable. It's the place to go to for a quiet, restful and relaxing holiday. We also had a 'thank you' card from the manager before we departed - you don't see this often. We would love to go there again for a longer stay. Stayed November 2016, traveled with friends"

Villa Mathis: "Bali en couple"

Review by: jpm4560 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Cet hôtel est un oasis de calme et de beauté. Tout est conçu pour se relaxer et profiter de l'endroit, les villas sont de toute beauté et en plus un personnel très gentil et à l'affut de vos moindres souhaits. De plus la direction est disponible en tout temps pour rendre votre séjour agréable et vous conseiller pour ne rien rater de ce beau pays."

Glenburn Tea Estate: "Wonderful experience"

Review by: 63Jack | Source: Trip Advisor
Stayed here for two nights at the end of a hectic 3 week tour. The charm of the old buildings is apparent as soon as you arrive. Courteous staff ensure you settle into your accommodation [ in our case a bungalow in the grounds ]. The food is excellent and we managed to go on two accompanied walks which were great. The walk to the river was down hill all the way. On arrival, out of nowhere it seemed, a barbeque lunch with cold beer appeared ! Thankfully a 4x4 took us back up the hill to Glenburn.

Rachamankha: "Serene Refined Hotel"

Review by: theobsessivetraveler | Source: Trip Advisor
"Ratchamankha, Chiang Mai, Thailand The photos posted by other travelers hardly do justice to this exquisite jewel box of a hotel. Our family of four was lucky enough to stay in one of the newly opened two-bedroom suites. A long, covered balcony, complete with a silk-cushioned bench, runs the length of the suite, providing a view to the serene courtyard and pool below. A spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated living room divides the two bedrooms. Breakfast is served around the corner in a separate courtyard. Heaven! In the evening, a fire is lit and on special nights a local musician plays traditional melodies. Asian antiques and art are displayed throughout the property. An army of workers tend the garden and the buildings, keeping everything in immaculate shape. Additionally, the owner employs many Burmese refugees, trains them, houses them, and pays them well. You can feel wonderful about supporting such a hotel. What a find!!!! "
