The River Resort: "Great resort! Great location!"

Review by: Nina S | Source: Trip Advisor
"We were a group of 8, friends and family, and all loved our stay at the River Resort. The resort is stunning. The facilities and grounds were designed thoughtfully, are well kept and beautiful. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The views of the river from the resort are not to be missed. Best part of all was the team at the resort. Mr. Wech and his team took care of us so well from start to finish. They were nice, helpful and a joy to see every day. The resort location is perfect for exploring southern Laos. All the famous waterfalls and Bolaven Plateau were easy for us to get to by van, Wat Phou was only 20 mins away. The resort's proximity to Champasak Town (2km) allowed us to ride bikes into town, play petanque with the locals, visit all the interesting wats. It was also peaceful to spend the day at the resort, getting a massage, swimming, taking in the views and observing river life. Our group very much appreciated having these options which enabled us to experience Laos on different levels. The resort is luxury without the pretense. We loved our stay. I hope to be back there again."

Tugu Malang: "More than excellent!"

Review by: krrlijn | Source: Trip Advisor
"My husband and I had the pleasure of staying 3 nights at the amazing Tugu hotel in Malang. What a wonderful time we had! The goodness started immediately at check-in: we were upgraded to a suite and received a welcome massage. Such a wonderful room with a very comfortable (and a bit squeaky) bed. Large bathroom with bath and great amenities, 2 sitting areas and coffee, tea, water and fresh fruit in the room. Lovely pool, with comfortable lounge chairs. Lots of arts and antiques throughout the entire hotel, including our room. Wonderful spa with great massage. Everyday tea time with delicious snacks, we will miss this at home! We did not take the breakfast but went to to the hotel's bakery instead, where they sell delicious sandwiches. We booked a Bromo tour at the hotel and this was a great experience as well. Experienced driver, nice guide and a packed breakfast. Nothing but good things about this hotel, I would recommend it to everyone! Above all I think it's the lovely staff who creates exactly the right atmosphere: it's a luxury hotel but with a very personal and relaxed touch. If we ever go back to Malang we will definitely stay here again."

Villa Song Saigon: "Superb Hotel"

Review by: Thady V | Source: Trip Advisor
"We spent a couple of nights here at the end of our trip and it really was excellent. The staff were first class and extremely helpful at all times. The free boat rides into central Saigon are really useful and allow you to explore the sites. Rooms are really well designed and very comfortable. Pool is lovely. Food was good but on the expensive side but all the restaurants in the area are quite dear as the hotel is in the expat area of town. Would highly recommend it though"

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "“This is a must see -a fantastic, wonderfull and different experience”"

Muang La Lodge: "Beautiful lodge"

Mung La Lodge is a beautiful ecolodge and a bit of paradise. The hot spring baths, the wonderful dinners and the terrific service contribute to a terrific relaxing stay. We stayed three nights and didn't want to leave.

Reverie Siam Pai: "A very special hotel restaurant"

Review by: Jane R | Source: Trip Advisor
"We had been unable to secure rooms at the hotel so decided to go for dinner. Im so glad we did. We started with the speciality cocktails and then tried the tapas style menu. The menu is not exclusively Thai cuisine but the food was astounding. The ambience of the restaurant and the service provided by the maitre'd was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble."

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Excellent reasonably priced fine dining"

Review by: GlobalVagrants | Source: Trip Advisor
You must visit this place if you can afford to and can get a table; delicious food that is a cut above the rest, successfully fusing traditional Khmer cuisine with all sorts of other influences. Atmosphere can be a bit stuffy, mainly due to the type of customer it attracts, but come for the food and enjoy yourselves. Is actually good value given the quality of cooking when you compare with typical costs of other tourist oriented restaurants in town. We visited with young children and they were very accommodating doing the full menu with smaller portions for our 9 year old and some chicken fried rice for our 5 year old; both kids declared the food delicious and ate everything in sight. Some very good wines as well. We managed to get an outside table at quite short notice despite them saying they were fully booked for months; if you don't ask you don't get!

Tugu Lombok: "Quirky and very special."

Review by: Amanda H | Source: tripadvisor.com
This is such a quirky hotel. I was slightly alarmed on guest impressions because this is definitely not a sophisticated, one dimensional hotel. This is a one off. Beautiful situation right on the beach, big rooms with outside bathrooms and plunge pools, huge grounds, two pools - the new one bring a large infinity pool with fresh water and I always had it to myself). Plenty of sunbeds so you never had to rush anywhere and the staff were all completely charming. We were made to feel very welcome and everyone knew our names. The manager was very visible and personable and, like all the staff, seemed to genuinely enjoy his job. A very special place. Recommend the BBQ on the beach (the staff went to great lengths to make it special and the food was fab). Also recommend Gillian Island snorkelling trip where we saw lots of turtles which was a highlight

Pindaya Farm House: "Amazing stay at the farmhouse"

Review by: Robin C | Source: Trip Advisor
Had an unforgettable one night with my family of 5 adults and 2 kids several weeks ago. Amazing serenity surrounded by beautiful mountainview and farm, in which the property host raises various kinds of fresh veggies and herbs. The rooms were equipped with comfortable beds, and the modern style shower was a pleasant surprise! My favorite part of the property...

Villa Mathis: "un délicieux moment de repos et de charme"

Review by: odilelyon2017 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Cet hôtel est merveilleux, surtout quand on y arrive après des heures de vol... Accueil chaleureux et prestations haut de gamme. Nous avons eu droit à un diner délicieux devant notre chambre et notre piscine et un personnel aux petits soins. Nous étions en famille (11 personnes) de 5 ans à 71 ans et tout le monde a été enchanté. Nous avons continué notre périple au Villa Mathis d'Ubud, même accueil et gentillesse. Egalement superbe hôtel dans les rizières."
