Satri House: "The ONLY place to stay in Luang Prabang"

Review by: PHWalker | Source: Trip Advisor
Well best kept secrets are probably best kept as otherwise next time you go the place is full! BUT I cannot let my recent stay go un-reviewed, the team at Satri deserve praise. Thank-you to Gianni, Keo and the team for a perfect stay and a wonderfully managed event. We had 40people with us, most staying at Satri but all attending dinner on the last night of our stay and despite the potential hassles from indecisive weather Gianni put together a magical evening, with impeccable service from his team. The hotel is truly a beautiful house, a once royal residence it oozes class, elegance and a sense of history. Travel for me must provide a sense of place and Satri provides it in spades, from the delightful Madame Mem (a lovely local lady who shares her stories of Luang Prabang) to the décor, location and kind attention from the staff sharing their local secrets on what to see, do and where to dine...I felt like I was sharing a home rather than staying in a hotel. The epitome of boutique hotel experience, book now before it becomes unbookable!!!

Heritage Suites Hotel: "7 nights with an attentive staff in a lovely property"

Review by: Lenny2299 | Source: Trip Advisor
The hotel is a bit out of the way but a short tuk tuk ride you are in town. We stayed in the saffron suite. Lovely room, very large, great air conditioning. Staff is very kind and attentive. If you ask for anything they respond quickly. I was ill for a couple of days during my trip and they kept checking on me, asking my wife if I was getting better, bringing extra water to the room. My only complaint was the mattress was not very comfortable. Everything else was perfect.

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Great food and service"

Review by: Italian_kilt | Source: Trip Advisor
"We booked this months in advance. We had the 6 course menu at US$28 per person, which was good value for this standard of restaurant. All the courses were beautifully presented and were delicious. Their cocktails were also tasty. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, we sat inside that had air con. Staff were all very professional and attentive, spoke good English. Recommend you visit."

Villa Song Saigon: "Saigon sanctuary"

Review by: SP-Teasdale | Source: tripadvisor.com
this elegant and friendly three story beauty is a haven of peace in a hectic city. Staff are delightful and go out of their way to remember you and meet your every need . Breakfasting right on the Saigon river is a great way to start any day.

Reverie Siam: "A special spot"

Review by: Leo W | Source: Trip Advisor
One of those rare places where the photos don't do it justice and you have to go there to experience the beauty. So much care has been taken in the architecture, interior, landscaping and staff to create a unique environment. The hotel perfectly compliments the most picturesque setting. We are already planning to return.

MesaStila: "Heavenly Abode"

Review by: stephtravelwriter | Source: tripadvisor.com
Firstly, you are surrounded by 7 mountains. The scenery at MesaStila is breathtaking. This is the Java you have been searching for. You are also on the grounds of a working, organic coffee plantation, whose history dates back to the Dutch times in Java. Afternoons are my favourite here (yes, I am a long term fan of this place and have been visiting since 2001) and you can wallow around the original colonial plantation house, which is drenched in the afternoon sun and as the light softly fads and disappears behind the towering mountains you are served a "high tea" - a complimentary coffee and tea service just to make you really feel at home. It is a real experience staying here. I would recommend flying into Semerang, as its only 45 mins on the toll road. The service is impeccable and the villas which grace the grounds are spacious and all antique, lovingly presented with the finest of antiques. You simply have to go.

The Cabochon Hotel: "Our second stay at Cabochon Hotel"

Review by: Malin E | Source: Trip Advisor
"I visited Cabochon with my 9 month old baby when I was travelling with him alone and had the warmest stay on my whole journey. Ten month later I returned together with my husband and son. Nothing had changed. Still, the friendliest care one can ever dream of in a hotel. This hide away makes Bangkok seem calm. I could once again start writing about how I love the interior, the breakfastroom, the food. But still, what ones again stayed in my memory was the throughout friendly, helpful, interested and cool staff. Absolutely one of a kind. Thank you Shaubai and you whole team! Malin, Alex and Lode"

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "“Relax and revive – the perfect place.”"

Review by: Palitana | Source: Trip Advisor
"We arrived in the dark after a tiring ten-hour car drive from Kochi and I thought I heard thunder. In fact it was the Arabian Sea pounding the extensive beach and in the morning we could see this magical place. A healthy breakfast on the beach and we were ready to relax. Many have given full positive descriptions so I don’t need to repeat those and the web site is accurate. Instead I will highlight just a few things that impressed me. I now have to watch my diet carefully and the wholemeal breads, fresh fruits, variety of fish are perfect. The menu includes various juices and I went for spinach but asked for some ginger too; I bet that will be on the list next time. All the food is superb, healthy and interesting. The aerial sketch on the website does not do it justice; there are many palm trees and the gardens are quite beautiful, spacious and well maintained. Contrary to some other comments I would recommend a sea view cottage without hesitation. There are only 18 cottages and they are carefully arranged; the peace is almost tangible. In fact the whole place has been designed by a skilful hand with great attention to detail and that includes the cottage interiors. Anyone who reads my reviews will know that I look at issues that might be relevant to those with mobility problems. There are a few steps to each cottage but the pathways should be OK. Internally the doors have very strong springs and help would be needed. For those with weak knees or limited use of limbs may find the bathroom a bit difficult. As a retired architect I know how it grates to put in grab handles. I hope the owners will consider seriously putting one close to the WC and another in the wonderful non-slip shower area. These things are important for those in need but I must emphasise that standard of design is very high. I wanted a full Ayurvedic body massage and had three; all were excellent. All that others have said about the atmosphere, management, welcoming and helpful staff etc. I endorse. No one could want for anything more. My wife and I seriously considered extending our week-long stay which is a testament in itself. Room Tip: Sea view cottage but all seemed very good."

The Apsara Rive Droite: "Excelent boutique hotel"

Review by: Carlos d | Source: Trip Advisor
I stayed 2 nights. It is a small and very comfortable hotel. Staff is very friendly ready to make your stay in Luang Prabamg memorable. The food was good. Hotel located on the other side of the Khan River making it quite and more local. The hotel has a boat to cross the river (2 min.).

Villa Song Saigon: "Charming Hotel"

Review by: Tar L | Source: Trip Advisor
"We spent 3 x nights in Villa Song last week and were fortunate enough to be upgraded for the last two. The new bedroom was absolutely stunning at the top of the building with an enormous bed and a beautiful view over the river. The staff were delightful and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Villa Song is situated in a stunning setting right on the river in popular District 2 - and very quiet. It is the most perfect hotel to relax in after touring round Vietnam. There is a fantastic complimentary speed boat service that goes to and from the city hourly. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel - it is the most ideal place to stay in Saigon Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"
