we spent 5 nights in this beautiful island. We had a great adventure including excellent meals, great snorkeling in Sourin, swimming, sun bathing, day trips in the island, kind and helpful service, meeting and fighting new creatures and more. this is a true pearl outside the "wrong path" of tourism.Rachamankha: "Spectacular"
"The four of us decided to splurge a bit on our last four nights on our Southeast Asia tour and reserved a suite at the hotel. Our suite was rooms 24/25 right off the entrance. The suite was spectacular with it's own garden, a very large living area and small kitchen and two large bedrooms with each its own bathroom. We loved the space and it was decorated beautifully. The tub/shower stalls were a bit outdated but everything was clean and worked perfectly although in the other room our friends said the water pressure was poor and they did not have hot water one day. The rooms were incredibly quiet despite the fact that one of the bedrooms had windows facing the front and the parking area. The service was incredible and the staff amazingly helpful even from the pick up at the airport. Lots of helpful info and help in navigating some issues that arose during our stay. The grounds are impeccable and there are lots of little surprises for guests around the property (candies, brandy in the library, etc.) Breakfast was incredible with a great selection of food. The service during breakfast broke down a bit we found due either to language barrier or the fact that multiple people were serving all the tables and therefore sometimes you needed to remind a waiter that you had asked for something or because they didn't write down your order. Nothing serious and is something you encounter all over Asia. The waiters were all very charming and sometimes shy about their English but their English is far superior to my Thai so it all worked! We also ate dinner in their restaurant one evening and it was spectacular and a beautiful setting. There was a Thai instrumentalist that played and with the food all made for a memorable experience. We would not hesitate to recommend this lovely hotel or stay again in the future. Stayed January 2017, traveled with friends"4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "A fantastic place to stay-"
"It was the best place we stayed in Cambodia. The tents were fantastic with at nice living room and a perfect bathroom. The staff was excellent and did all r´they could to make our stay memorable. The arrange fantastic tours with nice guides, The food was excellent, and they come arround to take our orders in advance, so the food is ready when we get to the restaurant,"Villa Song Saigon: "Wonderful! Keep Up The Great Work"
Stunning boutique property in district 2 of the city yet feels and looks like you are far more rural. We stayed here twice and were given a very warm and typical Vietnamese welcome each time. Service was impeccable and attentive without being intrusive. All seemed to have a very genuine interest in how we were and what we had done each day. Great sized lovely pool for the number of guests accommodated, chilled to exactly the right temperature! To the rear of the hotel is a beautiful garden, bar and indoor/outdoor restaurant overlooking the river and across to the fields. Chilled music adds to the very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting out by the river with a drink (or two) each evening! An excellent menu and wine list provide great choice and all of the food was beautifully presented and absolutely superb. The hotels speed boat provides a courtesy shuttle service between the hotel and centre of the city in just 15 minutes, far quicker than going by road! Exceptional service from a clearly dedicated, highly trained and competent team. Nothing is too much trouble. We hope to return soon...Rachamankha: "A Jewel of Tranquility"
What a lovely architectural masterpiece, making a simple but classy and tranquil base during our visit to Chiang Mai. Beatiful rooms, lovely swimming pool, fabulous event dining room and bar. The buildings and the grounds combine together to give charming and interesting views of well considered artifacts and decoration. Teak doors and furniture within plain white walls. Ceiling fans in open areas and AC in the lovely rooms. Great en-suite.Tugu Malang: "Great experience 5 stars hotel"
"So calm and quiet, not busy place. You can choose to relax by swim or just walk around in this hotel. The romantic bed and awsome Java room design, makes you feel like in the Keraton. Very very recomended hotels in Malang "David’s Kitchen: "Simply winderful"
From the service, to the presentation, to of course the food, David’s Kitchen is a must if you are anywhere near the areaSatri House: "Wonderful place, great location"
This is a beautiful destination hotel for a relaxing break. We stayed for 3 nights with our kids and grandparents and we all had a lovely time. The room was big, the bathroom was a bit awkward to use but it worked, the breakfast was fantastic. There are 2 pools and it is a lovely and peaceful setting. They have bikes to loan for free. The grounds and gardens are stunning. We booked through Mr&Mrs Smith so we received a free Lao Massage in the spa which was fab. I would definitely recommend Satri House.Locavore: "Still surprised after reading all the reviews about Locavore"
"It doesn't happen to me very often, but in this case the atmosphere and expectations raised by the reviews of hundreds of Tripadvisor members did not reflect the genuine experience we had by dining at Locavore. This kind of intro-paragraph will mostly precede a rather negative and contrary viewpoint but in this case I must say the evening we spend here was truly mesmerising. The amuse-bouches were drenched in local flavours even though some fitted on my fingernails. Imagine with that the 'Ashes' cocktail (you will indeed put a burning stick into the concoction, thus releasing a fair bit of ashes in your drink) and culinaire paradise in coming into wide view. The mains - we went for the 7 courses menu - were a mixed bag with caffeinated fish as a weird but surprisingly good part of it. Overall it is the combination of the nouvelle-cuisine presentation on the dishes combined with the exotic, original and authentic taste of local ingredients (chili pepper flowers, anyone?) that made this a very special evening for the both of us. Do try the Balinese coffee at the end. With a total bill of around 2.700.000, including two glasses of excellent Sangiovese, we probably spent more than half the average salary of the people working there, but as this works out at 160 Euro it was money more than well spend."
