"A jewel in the middle of nowhere in Northern Laos. They have added in room a/c and wi-fi in the last several months so now truly a 5 star experience. Lovely rooms, great food, nice pool, interesting activities. Only 10 rooms and since we were there just before her the high season, less than half full so we got a free upgrade to nicest room category. Stepping back rough the private gates into this beautiful estate with its garden, pool and delightful traditional house and rooms, was a perfect balance for the busy town and temple trips. The team lead by Kathy and Francis were all superb and nothing was too much trouble. We took a package that included guide and transport. We used the massage facilities also. Cold towels on hand as we returned from our trips out, glasses of iced water by the pool was all part of the welcome. just 5 rooms in total meant that it was like a private villa. We stayed in the Green Room in the main house which has a large terrace with seating and fans and is the nicest room being the original sitting room of the house before it was a hotel.SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Cook to Perfection!"
There is no available words to describe what dinning in this restaurant is! From the setting, going to the service and finaly the food itself is everything designed to perfection! Hotel Tugu is truly magical. From the moment you walk in, you feel as though you have been transported into an antique oasis. We were escorted by the friendliest staff to our Dedari Villa, which includes a private plunge pool, and a beautiful outdoor shower and bath that opened up to our own private koi pond. The room alone is like a fantasy, but the rest of the grounds are just as stunning. The location is perfect - right across the street from the ocean, and Old Man's and The Lawn (which are two fun, young bars/places to hang out.) "I loved this hotel it was sort of tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok and enter into colonial style baby raffles almost , as an antique dealer myself the decor was fantastic the owner had an amazing eye for antiques and classic cars the rooms where big spacious the staff extremely friendly and polite kind of like a small family . the hotel just had bags of character and charm hope to stay there again soon ! My boyfriend and I stayed here for four days and everything - from the food to the service to the rooms - was perfect. The staff works hard to make your experience perfect. The Green Room is beautiful as are the grounds and the pool. I've stayed in several hotels in several countries and this one is by far the best I've stayed at. Every detail is impeccable. The staff also helped us coordinate our tours to the temples and packed picnic breakfasts. Shoutout to our tuk tuk driver Vong - we loved him!Summertime Villa: "Blissfully chilled"

Our family of four loved it here. Beautiful scenery, pool and the staff are so friendly, calm and wanting to make your holiday enjoyable. The food was excellent. We did the walk to the waterfall which was impressive and clean. We relished swimming under it after becoming hot from walking. And in the afternoon we all indulged in the most wonderful massages. My therapist was calming and such a sweet lady. Totally recommend this boutique retreat in the hills.
