"This place is a must . Quality food at exceptional prices . Servive top notch . Im cautious when trying viet food even though its spectacular and unique with so much goodness some places tend to use too much oil as i have encountered on a few occasions with mi quang and bo kho when you see the ""yellowish"" oil sticking to the side or floating on the top of the broth but the vietnamese like it this way. The food here is unique to the central of vietnam and omg absolutely minimal use of oil in the broth and dishes and incredibly cooked to perfection. Not only that but so tasty with lots of goodness . The price of the food for the quality made it that more special . This will be my go to place for traditional healthy ""Hue"" food! "I recently visited Davids Kitchen on my honeymoon to Thailand. My husband and I came in with high expectations given the incredibly positive reviews. It was the most fantastic dining experience I can remember - I wish I could give it more than five stars. The host, Tea, was chatty and delightful as we waited for our table. He ensured that the table was customized for our arrival with personalized flower decor for our honeymoon celebration (and a bouquet for me upon departure). The staff was incredibly attentive throughout the evening. The chef came by before we left for feedback on the meal (which was superb so we could only lavish him with praise). Davids Kitchen was a highlight of our trip to Thailand and certainly a highlight of our time spent in Chiang Mai. "We were greeted at the airport with an experienced and very knowledge local guide and immediately made to feel truly welcome and at home, A unique experience to be transported on your personal Shikara (small decorated row boat) across Dal lake to the luxury Sukoon House Boat. The welcome at your boat include cold towels, welcome drink and monogrammed pashmina. The decor, fittings and layout of the boat were all high quality and were complimented with a very strong environmental theme. The food was prepared by a professional chef who always checked with your personal tastes and was served by friendly and professional staff. There was nothing that they would not get for you. "Located on a beautiful stretch of beach, the Hermitage is perfect for a relaxed stay. The staff is excellent - very courteous, attentive & helpful. It was a pleasure to be able to have all our meals by the ocean as one of the restaurants is on the beach. We had a very large room & a gorgeous open-to-sky bathroom. Definitely going back! "We just had lunch. Ordered a lovely bottle of the house red, a French merlot to accompany our lunch consisting of grilled perch, grilled chicken, duck laarb and an eggplant dip. Service was excellent. The airconditioning helped cool us down on a hot day after visiting Wat Xienthong. "This year I turned 60 and decided on a holiday in Thailand, of course I had to include Bangkok. I found this amazing small characterful place not far from the Royal Palace and Wat Pho. The staff are the most helpful I have come across on the holiday. The room is lovely, Moroccan in style, the Mali room, like home from home for me as I have a lot of Moroccan influence in my house. It is the best place of our holiday. The grounds are peaceful and well kept with a salt water swimming pool. There are wonderful small touches everywhere with orchids and water lilies. The dining area is in a pavilion next to the river with a view of Wat Arun. The food was excellent and the wine list very good. I would stay here every time in Bangkok. "My wife and I spent two nights on Gili Air as part of our honeymoon and were very happy with our stay at the Slow Villas. From the welcoming folks at reception to the lovely spa staff, everyone was very nice and accommodating. The island can be quite rustic (i.e., intermittent power loss, transportation by horse-drawn carriage, etc ) but the Slow Villas provide a more modern, luxurious option (private villa and pool) with its own rustic charm (outdoor bathroom, mosquito net, etc).
