SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "とっても素敵な湖畔の一軒家レストラン"

Review by: Takashi F | Source: Trip Advisor

Glenburn Tea Estate: "Perfect place to unwind and experience a tea plantation"

Review by: Boodle20 | Source: Trip Advisor
"What a wonderful place to finish an awesome trip to Sikkim and Darjeeling. The host and hostess, Faye and Will, greeted us after a very long drive from Yuksom, made longer by the landslides blocking the direct route. The Glenburn had sent a driver an hour and a half to meet us at a wonderful viewpoint with a delicious picnic as we were going to miss lunch. The rooms are all different and beautifully furnished. The evening meal served in a beautiful dining room around a large table where the guests can interact if they wish. We enjoyed a 2 and a half hour walk to the river through the tea plantation, with a well informed guide, where we were served a delicious lunch next to the two bedroomed lodge. I also had a massage in the spa which was amazing and so relaxing before being served afternoon tea and freshly made cakes on the verandah. This place is something special and I can recommend a visit to anyone who wants to experience tranquility with wonderful views of Darjeeling and Mt Kanchenjunga."

Slow Villas and Spa: "Perfect Stay for Honeymoon!"

Review by: ohelterskelter | Source: Trip Advisor
"Beautiful Private Villa with with Private Pool My husband and I have a honeymoon staycation in this villa, and we loved it so much. It's located not too far away from the beach, but enough distance to stay away from the crowd. So it’s very perfect for honeymon. We've got a very beautiful spacey villa with a private pool and very spacey backyard. We stay at Villa Number 1. With beautiful interior and big bed, also we love the open bathroom so much! We Love the Eco Concept Slow Villas is very eco-friendly, we’ve got our own bottle for drink and we can bring it outside, wether for dinner outside or beach time. We can also refill it everytime, we don’t need to buy extra water. We’ve got our own kitchen with complete utensil, so you can stay all day long at the villa. And we’ve got yoga matt, which I never found on another villa/hotel, we can join the free yoga clas everyday at ten in the morning. The Best Breakfast! Because Slow VIlla doesn’t have restaurants, they will serve the breakfast at our villa, which you can choose from English themed-breakfast to Australia to America. It’s very delicious. We enjoy it on our table beside the pool. Photogenic Villas As a travel writer and enthusiast, I love taking pictures of anything. And I love every side of our villa. It's beautiful and we made a lot of beautiful pictures. lol! Best Services The staffs were very nice, also we can rent the bicycle anytime. Room Tip: It's perfect, don't forget to buy food or vegetables, you can cook it on your own kitchen!"

The Village House: "Love at first sight"

Review by: cheecheeong | Source: Trip Advisor
Hidden gem in Damai, it was my 2nd stay in this hotel. I like the environment and it was super cozy, A super awesome gateway. We spent our time chilled by the pool and it was so relaxing. The room was a bit dusty and cleanliness is average.

Nam Bo Boutique Hotel: "Beautiful Boutique hotel in perfect location"

Review by: relajolla | Source: Trip Advisor
This is a wonderful "boutique" hotel. There are only seven suites and they are essentially one bedroom apartments with excellent views of the town and river. The service was first rate and the breakfast was wonderful. Served on their rooftop restaurant, it was delicious and allowed you to watch the little city wake up. The restaurant on the ground floor has both indoor and outdoor service and the food is very good and reasonably priced. We would definitely stay here again and strongly recommend it to any travelers.

Akame: "Superb Taiwan native style grill"

Review by: EdwardLu | Source: Trip Advisor
"Hidden in the mountain of Pingdong Taiwan The chefs are well experienced with several famous bistros and finally got back home for their native town Hard to imagine there's such delicate high end grill restaurant in such country side of south Taiwan. Menu differs everyday, planned by chef according to the very fresh materials Grilled bbq food is superb! Every dish are delicious, I like the pork-type, and fresh seafood fish Their signature dessert is the cinnamon sticks, It's on pricey side, but definitely worth the money, Not taking any drop in guests, and it's Super difficult to make reservation; usually takes a month or so in advance; Service is superb, they also provide some combination of wine; A must go restaurant, it's very far, but you will find it worth the journey"

Tugu Malang: "One of the World’s Great Hotels"

Review by: patisson | Source: Trip Advisor
"It is rare to find a hotel where service is flawless in every detail: The Tugu Malang, one of the world's few truly great hotels, is such a place: The hotel is of such astonishing beauty and the staff are such nice hard-working people, anxious to please in every way, that the Tugu is in fact a destination in itself. If you have no other reason to stop in Malang, then do so to enjoy the extraordinary pleasures of the Tugu. The rooms are ravishing, each one with some element of art and designed thoughtfully for maximum comfort. Exotic fruits await you; the bed is turned down with a friendly note before you go to sleep. Want your shoes cleaned? They come back polished better than when they were new. Breakfast includes almost unlimited pleasures: the menu is vast and you can combine local and Western dishes. Everything is both artful and delicious and the restaurant setting is a work of art in itself. Afternoon tea is included, with an array of local delicacies, served with the ever-present Tugu charm. The hotel owner has built a world-class museum into the hotel. Seemingly endless antiques and art are fabulously displayed; and the best part is that the hotel supplies a brilliant and knowledgeable tour guide to take you round. My guide was Wahyu, who clearly loves the hotel and told me he takes considerable amounts of time to research the objects on display so as to give the best presentation. His tour was completely involving because of his intelligence and enthusiasm -- it felt like being a celebrity receiving a highly-privileged personal presentation from the head curator of a national museum! I do hope that management will recognize Wahyu's excellence and ensure his career development in both museum curating and management! Reception also has the best people: kind, knowledgeable, helpful. They can get you wherever you want in town and make any needed arrangements for you. If you'd like to visit Bromo I'd highly recommend taking the cross-desert route from Malang: it is highly scenic and also quite surreal in places. I did the trip the other way round by ojek (motorbike taxi), but you can also do it by jeep and the Tugu can make arrangements. The ability to take this mindbending route is reason enough to stay in Malang. But you don't even need that reason. The rare graciousness, fragrant beauty, opulence, detailed service and pure delight that exemplifies everything the Tugu stands for means that you should head for the Tugu if you are anywhere in the region for no other reason than to stay in one of the most fabulous five-star hotels in the world at a price for which you would get something only very ordinary in the USA or Europe. This is a best of the best, a treasure, a complete delight: don't miss the opportunity to stay there!"

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "A Wonderful Experience"

Review by: Peachy50 | Source: Trip Advisor
We stayed here recently for 3 nights at the end of a month long tour of Vietnam and Cambodia.Everything about it was fantastic. The location, the wonderful luxurious tents, the food, the friendly helpful service by all of the staff, the excursions...it was all magical. We did the early morning jungle trek and the boat trip to a remote village and kayaking in the mangroves. Our guide was so helpful and interesting (sorry can't remember his name) and it was lovely to see his family waving from their home just over the river. We also took kayaks (my first ever venture) and crossed the river to visit the local village. We were greeted by one of the families, given a tour around by foot to some of the villagers homes and they went out of their way to get fresh coconuts down for us to drink. The whole setting is wonderful and was such a relaxing treat after such a hectic holiday. We would thoroughly recommend 4 Rivers, we only wish we could return

Rahai’i Pangun: "Best boat on the river, great guiding"

Review by: TravisTripper | Source: Trip Advisor
"Wow Borneo organized a trip for me to Tanjung Puting to see orangutans, and then to Komodo to see dragons. Their boat to Tanjung Puting seemed to be the most comfortably furnished among the tour boats I saw on the river, and the food and guiding were excellent. Bear in mind that the visits to 3 feeding stations involve sitting among an audience with lots of other tourists from many boats as the orangutans arrive, eat and leave. We were lucky in that we got to see wild orangutans outside of this context as we cruised down the river. The monkeys and birds were worth watching, too (one monkey sneaked on board looking for food, but took off without succeeding). For the Komodo trip, the boat was more basic, but the guiding was still great and there was a greater variety of activities, including hiking, snorkeling, beaching, and of course walking among the incredible Komodo dragons. We also got to visit a couple of interesting fishing villages when we stopped for supplies."
