Tugu Bali: "This is by far the best in Canguu"

Review by: debbie_sugrue | Source: Trip Advisor
"The Tugu hotel exceeded my expectations to say the least, its such a hidden GEM! I usually stay in Seminyak and wanted to venture to Canguu for a while, from the moment you walk in you feel the most incredible energy, it truely is a very Indonesian cultural environment. EVERYTHING I needed during my stay was provided, I am such a fussy eater and they outdone themselves at every sitting accomodating to my needs EXACTLY as I asked with a huge smile and no confusion.. so if you want five star service and clear communication this will be perfect. My laptop also had internet issues as I have a problem connecting to wi-fi everywhere, but here they even gave me my own modem to easily use the internet which I thought was just exceptional. I also cannot stress enough how amazing the rooms are huge and complete with - Here you see a perfect Blend, a private collection of hundreds of priceless antiques and artworks with majestic landscapes, history and culture of Indonesia. Stayed March 2017, traveled with friends"

Misool Eco Resort: "Beyond my expectations"

Review by: MAG67 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We got used to spend our vacations in upscale botique resorts. That's why i had to dig internet quite intensively prior to making up our mind to choose this resort. Due to it's location i was sure that the nature would be at it's best. However i had doubts about the quality of accommodation and services we would get in comparison to our previous vacations. After the vacation i would say that everything was beyond my expectations. Misool Eco Resort is a boutique resort with a max. capacity of 40 guests. Luckily during our stay there were only three couples. The resort has 3 personnel to 1 guest ratio. Probably during our stay this ratio was 5 or 6 to 1. Furthermore Mark(GM), Sue(Dept. GM) and Calvin(Guest Operations Manager) were available 24/7 for any problems/questions we might have. We stayed in the Tabisasu villa just because we wanted some extra space and extra privacy and we were totally satisfied with our choice. We had problems to get used to sleep on new beds even at upscale resorts. Here we slept perfectly from day one till the end. I think this was not just because we got tired of daily diving/snorkeling activities but the beds and pillows were really very good quality. Considering resorts remote location we were really satisfied with the variety and quality of food. We like to ear local food when we travel to Indonesia. Here all local stuff with noodles, rice etc were very tasty. In addition frequently we had western cuisine like burgers, pizzas etc. And of course diving and snorkelling - which were our main aims of the trip to Raja Ampat were perfect. We had personnel dive and snorkel guides which we ordered in advance. However the other couples also had one guide per couple. The reefs were arguably the best, the most healthy coral reefs we have ever seen. Full of life! Both macro and pelagic. One just need to show the dive guide what he is interested to see and the guide finds it unless it is a polar beer or dugong(which unfortunately do not live here) We were very lucky with our dive guide Kiikii and snorkelling guide Nelson as well as captains Samsul and Fikram. If you have underwater photo/video equipment this resort has very convenient camera room and was very comfortable for us to prepare our cameras for the dives. The only negative side of this resort for me is the lack of mobile network. But this can be a positive fact for many who would like to have a break from daily routine. For whom the presence of communication is a must taking an Iridium satellite phone is the only solution. By the way there is awkwardly slow internet however its good enough for communication via whatsapp, viber, messenger or similar apps which really helped. We have been in Indonesia 7 times in previous vacations. Since we read that west Papua is a risky zone for Malaria we decided to take pills as a precaution. Especially after rain in the evenings we felt the presence of mosquitos. We were told that since the island is 5 hours boat ride from Sorong there are no infected mosquitos at the resort. This actually sounds logical because the staff working here would get infected for sure since they would not be allowed to use pills agains malaria daily for years. However since a stop over in Sorong is also required i would recommend to use pills for this trip.We had one tablet of Malarone per day and no side effects. Other than diving and snorkelling with did the excursion to the view point and cave. I recommend it. But be warned that the health and safety standards are different than the ones you are familiar with.(and this was told in the resort in advance) In my opinion the view is worth it anyway. :-) One final advise - on the way to resort i organised our flight schedule in order to avoid one night stay at Sorong.(which is unavoidable on the way back) However the guests who did this arrived the resort after the 4.5 hours boat trip a lot fresher than us. The Swiss Bell Hotel which is booked by Misool Eco Resort is quite satisfactory to spend the night in Sorong. Room Tip: Tabisasu has extra space and nice view to the ocean and islands around. More privacy while still ver..."

Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "A great way to see Yala National Park"

Review by: nicole t | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed here with our young family for one night. The guides were amazing, food was great and the Accomodation was very good - a nice family glamping tent. A great all inclusive way to see Yala. Highly recommended! Stayed February 2017, traveled with family"

Dewakan: "Definitely worth a visit"

Review by: M.Y. L | Source: Trip Advisor
The restaurant serves a degustation menu and you can only choose between a 10 course (RM240) or 5 course (RM180) meal. The service and meal presentations are excellent and the food is generally of a high standard. The restaurant is also very generous giving 4 free appetizers and a free dessert so we ended up having a 15 course meal. Definitely worth the price. Only disappointment is the ambience as the restaurant is quite bare but the toilet is quite classy. Also, beware the traffic getting there as it took us one and a half hours from Jalan Duta on a Friday evening.

Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Only one word: OUTSTANDING! A 5-star experience in Myanmar"

Review by: Elena M | Source: Trip Advisor
"After our trekking trip from Kalaw to Inle, we desperately needed some comfort, nice food and a good night sleep....and we couldn't have asked for more during our stay at Inle Heritage! This was - by far - the best hotel we have stayed in during our 2-week trip in Myanmar. The rooms are spacious and furnished with great taste and top standards, the view on the lake is stunning. There are only 6 rooms in the complex and the staff is extremely lovely and super-attentive. Importantly...the food is absolutely STUNNING: we had 2 dinners and breakfasts during our stay and everything we ordered was outstanding - I don't think you can find a restaurant with such high quality anywhere else in the country. Vegetables are taken directly from several lovely gardens cultivated by the staff and you can really feel the freshness of every ingredient. There are several other ""luxury"" accommodations on the lake, but none of them offers such a high level of hospitality and food - combined. We would choose Inle Heritage again and again!!! Yes, while in the room, you can hear the noise of boats passing by, but this didn't disturb us at all and the noise significantly decreases after 8-9pm in the evening. The hotel also offers complementary ear plugs so we could sleep like babies during both our nights. Last but not least, Inle Heritage is a non-profit organisation that looks after the cultural and natural heritage of the Inle Region, aiming at developing tourism while maintaining the original Burmese culture and way of life, and respecting nature. Given how quickly the lake is developing (with both pros and cons...) we were very happy to stay in a place that is run in a sustainable way and under these grate values. Don't miss it!!! Stayed December 2016, traveled as a couple"

Maison Polanka: "So good that spoiled me for the rest of my trip!"

Review by: Lune14 | Source: Trip Advisor
"I don't recall when or where I first read about Maison Polanka, but I was sure that whenever I would make the dream trip to Siem Reap this is where I would be staying. I requested my agent specifically to select this hotel, and it was well beyond my expectations. I remember reading one review here on TA in which the traveller mentioned that you could tell the quality of service from the cold towel a hotel will give you upon arrival. Well, let me just start by saying that not only that is true, but that here they would rush to me every single time I arrived with a refreshing towel and a glass of water! Nothing was too much for Cathy, Frances and team. Want to see the circus? (by all means yes, go to Phare!), we'll book you a good seat and the tuk tuk driver. Going to town? please have this phone and call us if you need any assistance. Restaurant, tour bookings? we'll do it for you. Resting by the pool after a day of sightseeing in the sorting sun and don't want the complimentary tea? at least have some of the delicious banana bread. The list goes on and on. Service makes this place and I wish I remembered all names to thank them all. Lastly, mr Vong, always smiling, the best tuk tuk driver in town! The hotel itself was pure understated elegance, a beautiful restored khmer houses. I stayed in 2 rooms during my stay: the orange, which though smallest was perfect for me. And the yellow, a bit bigger and with a beautiful bathroom. Both perfectly air conditioned, comfortable bed, restocked water bottle, and thankfully no TV. The surrounding gardens were beautiful, the pool was great, and the restaurant served great breakfasts (a different tropical fruit each day, great coffee), and also dinners (the best curry chicken of my trip). I was very happy here for 4 nights. I loved the Angkor area and would love to come back. I would not stay anywhere else but here."

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "A secluded river paradise, wow"

Review by: Peree W | Source: Trip Advisor
It may take a while to get there but it was worth every minute. What a fabulous location, the staff were just sensational and that is the most luxurious tent ever!!!! Pristine river to swim in, as quiet as I have ever experienced, relaxing, gorgeous, socially aware resort that was just the best. And they have French Champagne yeh!!!!!!

Supanniga Cruise: "Probably the best stylish dinner cruise in Bangkok!!!"

Review by: Chong N | Source: Trip Advisor
"Love the cruise design, so chic and stylish. Not way traditional Thai like other cruises. I especially love the lounge area at the front of the boat where you can chill, sip champagne, and enjoy Bangkok's nighttime river view. For the food, it comes with 6-course authentic Thai food and a glass of Taittinger champagne as a welcome drink. And I must say the taste is really Thai, unlike some other cruises that compromises way to much to suit foreigners' palate. The service is top-notch, very attentive and friendly. The cruise manager, Khun Joe, is the real gem. He helped us taking pictures and we loved the wine he recommended. All in all, a must do if are into river cruising."

The River Resort: "Wonderful service and a great hotel in every respect"

Review by: European123 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We came to the River Resort after a somewhat disappointing Mekong Cruise and felt we had landed in heaven. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was modern, the view of the river was beautiful. Dinner was excellent and since we had to leave before the restaurant opened in the morning they gave us a very good breakfast box. It is definitely a place we would stay at again."

Talabgaon Castle: "A pearl tucked in the beautiful Rajasthani countryside"

Review by: Oph D | Source: Trip Advisor
"Located one and a half hour from Jaipur on the way to Ranthambore or Bundi, Talabgaon Castel is the perfect blend of Rajasthani heritage and culture ! The road to reach is crossing the countryside and villages. I love the thrill of diving deep in the rural India and suddenly reaching this splendid property. It brings you back in the royal times ! The castel has been remarquably renovated and improved by this family of polo players who are passionate about their legacy. I came with some friends and we were welcomed and by two of the brothers who take great care of us all along our stay. The staff is professional and provided an excellent service. They serve authentic Rajasthani food made with the vegetables from the organic garden. The rooms are large, clean, comfortable and beautiful. Chose one with the view on the swimming pool ! I particularly loved the gardens where you can stroll until the organic gardens, the farm the polo field and meet on your way some peacocks and even an emeu ! Perfect place to explore the rural life of India and to relax. They offer a large range of activities in an around the hotel (horse riding, walks, jeep safaris, camel cart ride...). We all wished we had stayed longer ! Thank you to the Talabgaon family for lovely time! Stayed January 2017, traveled with friends"
