Cuca: "Fun and creative food"
"Our party of 8 (4 adults and 4 kids) came for dinner. We were a bit surprised that they had a kids menu. The kids really enjoyed their meals, although the portions were pretty tiny for 10-12 yr olds. We had some really fun cocktails including a tropical sangria and lime mojito. They started us with a taste of cotton candy coated with spices. We ordered a bunch of tapas to share including -mushroom fritters which were really good, I would get this again. -baked scallop w/mashed cauliflower: tasty and creamy cauliflower went really well with the scallop, I'd get this again. -roasted pork bun with pickled cabbage; good but definitely but definitely not the best (Momofuku) -smoked butterfish w beetroot cream- nice smokey flavor, solid dish -honey baked pumpkin salad w crunchy granola, a signature dish which was surprisingly good. I enjoyed the crunchy granola w the pumpkin -crispy fried chicken, pretty good and tasty but nothing that special -bbq octopus was ok -marinated pulled pork w soft boiled egg was ok, flavors were ok but not spectacular, wouldn't get this again. -clay pot mushroom rice was good with lots of mushrooms, portion was a bit small. -dessert cocoa99 was really yummy, warm chocolate w mint ice cream and cocoa croutons- I love mint & chocolate so this was great for me. -caramel apple w black pepper ice cream- ice cream was very interesting. Overall we had a really fun meal. Service was great, they were really friendly and nice. It was great to come in a big group to get to try a lot of different dishes. I would recommend Cuca for a nice meal out in Jimbaran."Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "A unique experience, best service you can find"
"We have traveled a lot around the world in both high luxury hotels and small guesthouses, but we must admit that I have rarely had such a nice experience as the one we got at Thahara Inle Heritage. To us, this hotel has it all : the luxury bungalows with quiet private terrace right in the middle of Inle lake (that you would expect to find in a a 5* hotel) and the adorable welcoming service that you can only find in small intimate guesthouses. Plus, the food is divine (and the breakfast, Oh My !) and very much affordable for the location, so what more can we ask for ? Well, you could wish that your money goes to a good cause, and it does. Thahara Inle Heritage is part of the not-for-profit training center that prepare local young people for careers in restaurants and hotels. That explains the amazing and welcoming service ! It also had its own amazing garden full of delicious vegetables, which explains the amazing local cuisine of their restaurant, and works towards full sustainability, so you are assured to contribute to a green stay. You can also take part in one of their cooking class if you have time, surely the best one you can find in the country ! Or you can just wander around the Thahara, pay a visit to their Burmese cat center or check out their local Aquarium. Or you can hop on a boat and head to Nampan market, 5 minutes away, or leave for a memorable boat drive to the Sankar, on the very southern shores of the lake. Endless possibilities, total freedom, breathtaking views. Definitely the highlight of our trip to Myanmar. PS: as for the previous comment, fear nothing if you are a light sleeper, Thahara provides you with earplugs in your room, though we did not need them. And if you are afraid to be cold at night on the lake, you will be happily surprised to find hot water bottles in your bed to warm you up when you come back to your bungalow at night. Brilliant. "とても静かで良いホテルです。 ホテルの方々の、とても暖かな対応にも感動しました。 ルアンパバンの滞在は忘れられない良い思い出となりました。 Very quiet and great hotel. I was moved by the very high hospitality of the hotel. With this hotel,Staying in Luang Phabang was an unforgettable and memorable experience."The Island Lodge: "Get off the busy life"
Niche and charming hotel. Warm welcome and cheerful staffs. Great feeling with bird sound around you in the morning. This is also the place you can get around nicely with the bicycle and feel the fresh air with a lot of green in the afternoon!Poring Hot Spring Nature Reserve: "A lot of adventure activity"
"Poring basically has a lot of activities can be done. U can hike in Poring Hot Spring to reach the 2 waterfalls there. Kipungit waterfall can be reach out around 20 minutes from the entrance of the Poring Hot Spring and Lagganan Waterfall can be reach by 2-3 hours. The view and the nature absolutely beautiful. The track consider moderate to difficult to some area but it's really worth it. We can also climbed for a canopy walk in Poring Hot Spring with a very minimal payment and also payment for the camera or gadgets. The canopy walk is a great experience for those who is acrophobic or alto-phobic that want to challenge themselves on the high place. The trail going to the canopy walk quite easy with elevated small steps provided but it's quite challenging for those with knee problems and unfit for it. You need to climb around 500m towards the canopy walk and it took around 20. Consist of 5 canopy walk and each one around 175-200 Meters long and 41-43 Meters in height, which is higher than a 8-floor building. The entrance to Poring Canopy Walkway is about 835 Meters away from park entrance. It is open from 9am to 4pm daily. The walkway is an elastic structure, so it will bounce and swing when we walk on it. Some find this thrilling, while some think it’s scary!!!"Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "Charming Boutique Hotel"
Fell in love with this hotel as soon as I arrived and had to sit in the magnificent library for a while to wait until my room was ready. This hotel reminded me of a smaller version of Raffles in Singapore. Great attention to detail, superb breakfast, friendly staff and spacious rooms. Loved the pool on top of the residence and had a great meal at the restaurant. Location is superb with close proximity to BTS and other excellent restaurants at Rain Hill.Glenburn Tea Estate: "A hidden gem not to be missed"
A stay at the Glenburn tea estate is a truly unforgettable experience and we loved every minute of it. Whichever way you look from the delightful gardens or from either of the beautiful bungalows there is a wonderful vista, even when the mountains are shrouded in mist. Unfortunately for us, the weather was not at its best when we stayed in late March/early April, but we were lucky enough to be there for 5 nights and so we at least had 2 fabulous mornings when we were treated to the breathtaking views of the Kanchenjunga mountain range from the comfort of our room. Our room (Camelia) was fabulously spacious and beautifully decorated in English country house style with a lovely seating area, and French doors onto a small balcony with magnificent views. The bathroom was enormous with roll top bath and huge walk in shower. We did not see any of the other rooms but all other guests seemed just as impressed with theirs, and we gather the views are wonderful from each and every room. The food was delicious with an imaginative and varied menu and, despite initial reservations, we really rather enjoyed the communal dining in the evening. It was very interesting to meet such a variety of people from all over the world. I think perhaps my husband was a little bored on the last evening being the only man at a dining table full of rather verbose women! There was plenty to keep us amused during our 5 night stay with a visit to the tea factory, walks around the estate looking at the flowers, birds and butterflies, a lovely (though quite tiring) hike to the river camp with a tasty meal when we arrived, and a day trip into Darjeeling. We could have done a lot more but, after the hustle and bustle of Kolkata, and because the gardens were so idyllic, we relished in the opportunity to relax, reading, chatting, playing cards and drinking plenty of Glenburn First Flush tea! All of the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, and hats off to the multi-talented Nilima and Luna for being such lovely and well-informed guides, but also for running the shop and helping with the organisation of the staff welfare programme, amongst a multitude of other skills. A very big thank you to Jemima, Holly and all the staff for a truly memorable and delightful stay........ We hope we will return one day.SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "After dinner time.."
"Few weeks ago I tried the lunch set menu Of course so delicious and for a good value On day time we enjoyed this beautiful Inya lake view and peaceful ambiance The food was so tasty, well presented Service super Nice What Else ??!! seeds still to be the best restaurant in Town"Neeleshwar Hermitage: "A piece of paradise"
"Our stay at Neeleshwar was pure pleasure. The bungalow style rooms were wonderfully comfortable with views overlooking the sea - well spaced with lovely verandah and hammock. The service was excellent - the friendly and attentive staff made the stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. Breakfast and dinner by the beach overlooking the Arabian Sea was delicious and the infinity pool and setting invited stunning photographs. Yoga in the morning was an added bonus as was the very experienced tailor who turned around your order in double quick time. The style of the Hermitage is intimate and focuses on excellent service and it is small enough to be able to deliver for each guest. A perfect end to a perfect holiday. "For years I'm traveling around the world in search of the best hotel ever. But actually, what could define what we call ""the best hotel""? Simply a place where you feel at home right away you arrive, a place full of charm where there is a strong atmosphere, a place where people are so nice, kind and helpful you can easily consider them as a family, a place where every corner is simply beautiful and finally a place from where you would never want to leave. Satri House is THIS PLACE and our recent stay has exceeded all our strongest expectations. (...) This unique property extremely well designed by her owner is truly THE place where to stay in Luang Prabang and an hotel which has to be experienced by all the hotel lovers. BREATHTAKING..."
