Nam Bo Boutique Hotel: "Great view, great service"
"We were in room 8 on the third floor-a tastefully decorated small suite with three balconies in the living room overlooking the waterfront and promenade. The two windows in the bedroom also overlooked the promenade as well as a side street. The rooms were spotless and the queen bed was comfortable. The provided fruits were tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the most excellent L'escale restaurant (try it for dinner for a taste treat) was a white tablecloth affair spoiled only by the German brat children who screamed throughout. Wifi was excellent."The Island Lodge: "Beautiful hidden gem"
A wonderful hotel with a lovely garden and pool. After a drive from Saigon we were warmly welcomed by the owner and some of his staff with refreshing drinks and cakes. The rooms are spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The hotel has a great restaurant and serves lovely food. Because it was low season the restaurant was open just for us. That's how service should be! We loved it here.Villa Song Saigon: "Amazing stay"
"No more to say. Just stay there. The location is a bit far away from the hustle, but that's what we wanted. The nice thing is the hotel provides a free shuttle to the downtown area, which is great because you can come back and retreat to a more chill location and enjoy an afternoon by the pool. Not cheap, but worth the price. We were very happy with Villa Song."Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Paradise Found"
"Having spent two crazy weeks exploring Delhi, Varanasi, Agra etc. we flew down for a week in southern India to unwind. I had picked the Neeleshwar Hermitage from a photo of the swimming pool I had seen in The Trailfinders brochure, and it more than lived up to my expectations. The welcome was genuinely warm, and our cottage was just lovely. The discreet but friendly staff were always on hand for anything we needed. We arrived in the dark, and so waking up to the Arabian sea was a real treat. The beach went on for miles and was virtually deserted. The sea was warm and inviting, and the infinity pool was superb. Both restaurants were excellent, and breakfast beside the beach was fantastic. I had a wonderful treatment in the spa, and would recommend a visit. Following 3 nights at the resort we transferred for one night on the houseboat. What a wonderful, fabulous experience that I will always treasure. A perfect end to an amazing holiday. Room Tip: Some of the cottages face the sea, but we had a garden view and it was still lovely."Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Amazing"
Tiger Mountain Lodge is amazing. Though access may be slightly problematic for the less agile such as myself, any efforts are certainly worthwhile. My room (7) had breathtaking views over the mountains and (very kindly ) the weather Gods lifted the clouds enabling the magnificent scene to unfold. Though this reality was obviously outside the control of the lodge management , the friendly and efficient care that was delivered throughout the stay at the lodge. My food requirements are unusual to say the least, but an understanding staff managed to accommodate those peculiarities very efficiently. All aspect of care lived up to or exceeded expectations and Grateful thanks are due to a very efficient team.Maisons Wat Kor: "Heaven hidden outside of the town for discerned traveller"
A hidden hotel with a beautiful pound and an amazing local architecture. What make this hotel different are the number of rooms, only very few rooms - each bungalow has 4 rooms , they all looks the same and could be the set for a movie. Rooms are large and nice bathroom. The life of the hotel is around the pound and the kitchen. You will feel more in somebody house rather than an hotel here. The hotel is few minutes away from the town, but the tuktuk will take you there through a small village.Supanniga Cruise: "Probably the best stylish dinner cruise in Bangkok!!!"
"Love the cruise design, so chic and stylish. Not way traditional Thai like other cruises. I especially love the lounge area at the front of the boat where you can chill, sip champagne, and enjoy Bangkok's nighttime river view. For the food, it comes with 6-course authentic Thai food and a glass of Taittinger champagne as a welcome drink. And I must say the taste is really Thai, unlike some other cruises that compromises way to much to suit foreigners' palate. The service is top-notch, very attentive and friendly. The cruise manager, Khun Joe, is the real gem. He helped us taking pictures and we loved the wine he recommended. All in all, a must do if are into river cruising."Supanniga Eating Room: "Supanniga Eating Room"
The restaurant is located in the Sukhumvit district of Bangkok. Despite being on a main street, and having the address written in Thai, our taxi-driver still didn't find it easily (not unusual in Bangkok) so best to get information about the location before you set out, preferably a map. The place is relatively small and fashionably designed, the food is gourmet Thai seafood (apparently from Eastern Thailand). There's a nice cocktail list (and wines, although we didn't try those). In other words, it's at the other end of the scale to the average Thai eatery. Prices were reasonable considering all factors. Between two of us we had a crab curry, crispy stir-fried fish (a kind of Thai version of whitebait), a prawn and bean stir-fry, white rice and black rice. Our waitress was quite a character and spoke very good English. All very good. All in all, a pleasant experience.Glenburn Tea Estate: "An outstanding very special place to stay"
This is probably one of the very best hotels we have stayed in anywhere. The location is magical (although be prepared for a very rough road to get there for about the last 40 minutes) and the ambience is particularly special. We could not have been better looked after by the staff who were attentive, efficient and friendly. Meals were quite superb, amongst the very best we had in India. William and Faye are excellent hosts and keep a watchful eye to make sure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. I recommend it very highly indeed.Tugu Malang: "Extremely friendly staff"
"Beautiful hotel. Looks like museum. Compliment to the owner. We stay in the executive suite which was really beautiful at room 214. Very nice bathroom and comfortabel bed. Love the tiles in the bathtub. The spa is very good. Teatime with tea, coffee, jamu and very delicious javanese snacks for free every afternoon. The food in the restaurant is ok. Presentation very nice but taste is missing. We love the staff at the reception. Very nice conversations. Thank you Fahria, Lina, Sirmon and the others. Best wishes from Raymond and Audrey and we will come back"
