Villa Song: "A fabulous escape from the city"
We moved to Saigon about three months ago and like to treat ourselves to a weekend in a hotel now and again. Staying in Villa Song felt like a real holiday and an escape from the city. We loved the peace and relaxation. The customer service and staff were excellent. The room was beautiful and we loved the pool area. Both mornings we were threre it was very quiet, despite the hotel being at full capacity. We ate at the restaurant the first night and enjoyed the food very much and the breakfast was great. The free boat back to the city was fun and a fantastic way to see the city from a different viewpoint, although I was loathed to get off the boat and head home! We will definitely return for another weekend getaway soon.
"Exceptional experience at Villa Song Saigon. Wonderful staff, amazing location by Saigon River and great restaurant. The Suite was nothing to compare. Highly recommendable and will come back. Thank you Vill Song Saigon."Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Characterful boutique hotel"
"When staying in Georgetown you are probably wanting to be immersed in the colonial character of the place, so staying in a beautiful restored mansion with a fascinating history is a logical and excellent choice - one that we did not regret in the slightest. Nor was it particularly expensive compared with other hotel options We enjoyed learning the history by joining the guided tour (free for guests) and were able to admire the décor and feel of the place both at breakfast time and in the lounging area outside the rooms. Our room was in some ways relatively basic but perfectly adequate and again had character. The service was friendly and helpful. The hotel location is good - on the edge of the heritage area and near to an excellent food court dining and entertainment complex. Breakfast selection also good with small buffet and also a la carte choices including some unusual ones such as green tea pancakes. No juices on the buffet but they brought us some freshly squeezed on request. No hesitation to recommend."Maison Polanka: "Best hotel of our trip!"
"Maison Polanka is an incredible place. On our first evening there, we had a glass of bubbles as we watched the sky slowly turn to dusk and listened to the birds, the cicadas and the nearby monks singing -- total perfection. It was such a treat to be taken care of so well and in such a stunningly beautiful environment. We stayed for five nights in the Khmer house, which was great. Plenty of space, nice amenities, and kept nice and cool by the fans and AC. The staff worked with my husband to plan a fantastic birthday dinner for me, setting up a romantic private dining experience surrounded by candles and even ordering in a special birthday cake. We would recommend Maison Polanka to any traveler who is looking to experience Cambodia in serenity and luxury and in the care of a wonderful staff. Our biggest thanks to Cathy, Julie, Cune, Tuy La, Kong, Da, Som, Osa, Chan, Rithy, Seam, Sam, Sopharin, Thy, Sarin, Sopha, and the rest of the amazing team behind the scenes that make it such a special place."Villa Song: "Amazing City experience"
"we had a fantastic stay at the Villa. the staff and Manager were extremely helpful and friendly. we are not city lover so this location was ideal and the speedboat transfer meant we had limited experience of traffic jams. The hotel organized all our tours and there were superb. Would highly recommend this hotel the food was excellent and been only 23 room it did feel you were getting one on one personal service. thank you all for making this the great experience it was."Glenburn Tea Estate: "An Amazing Experience"
"The most ideal location for relaxation . Situated in a valley surrounded by pristine forests , this tea estate is a jewel . The hotel has eight beautifully done rooms and to find an accommodation during the peak season is difficult . Visiting this place I realised why it is so popular among international tourists as well as domestic travellers . You can relax here with a book or take trekking trips according to your preference . The staff is friendly and the food is amazing. Several cups of the best of teas can be tasted here throughout the day , the iced tea being my favourite . The tea factory tour is a must do. The Kanchenjunga , seen from the estate, with it's snow capped peaks , bathed by the morning sunlight was indeed a treat for the eyes"Maduzi Hotel: "Suprising Find"
"Another Small Luxury Hotel booking . Arriving at the hotel I was a little worried . The entrance is unassuming and you walk past a small bar area to a very small reception area but the suite was great when we went upstairs. Large bedroom , separate lounge/ work area Good bathroom with jacuzzi and wet room shower , separate toilet and separate dressing area / walk in wardrobe, free mini bar with soft drinks and water and a great coffee machine. Only dislikes in the room were the quite fierce aircon which was difficult to manage, the glass screen door on the toilet ( not as private as one would wish) and also the bed ,as in many Thai hotels ,was on on the firm side . Breakfast was delicious and went on until 2.30 . Free tea and coffee available all day in the bar such a welcome after a day trekking around . The staff were able to organise an evening out suggesting a great alternative after a first choice was unavailable . They were unobtrusive but available whenever needed Situation just off the junction with Sukhumvit is perfect for BRT and MRT . Would definitely use the place again . Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"Sea Dance Resort: "Terrific – Like joining a community!"
We are a family of four and stayed in a two-bedroom pool villa over New Year's 2017-18 for four nights. There were several other families there as well. The owners and staff made us feel very welcome, and the food and facilities were top notch. The best part was the new year's party, which made everyone feel like we'd been invited to someone's house to celebrate - really a fun time, we recommend the Seadance to everyone.Chakrabongse Villas: "Paradise In Bustling Bangkok"
"Shhhhhh" you might want to keep this gem of an inn a secret. As a frequent traveler to Thailand you understand that overnighting in Bangkok is often necessary due to midnight arrivals and 1am departures. We were SO ready to get out of the airport hotels. Set on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, tucked into Old Bangkok, this former royal home of HRH Prince Chkrabongse is a tranquil haven from the noise and stress of Bangkok. Next trip, allow time to rediscover Bangkok as it once was. Each one of the six rooms has a personality all its own. Standard double rooms are Moroccan style, the Riverview and Chinese suites are located in a separate buildings and have fabulous river views from private decks. Rooms are luxuriously appointed with antiques and fabrics that enhance the feeling of stepping back in time. (...) We had the pool all to ourselves as with only six rooms we rarely saw other guests. This place gets a 10 out of 10 on the romantic scale. And, for jaded travelers this place reminds you why we do it. Just make sure that you write down (in Thai) directions for Taxi drivers to get you back to the inn should you go out for the evening as even the local taxis can't find this place. An added bonus is the #1 school for massage two blocks away... 2 hours massages for approx. USD 30. Discover and keep this secret for yourself!
