Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Another relaxing and indulgent week spent at an idyllic beach resort"
"We have stayed here before so know what to expect and are never disappointed. From our comfortable bungalow with its semi-open bathroom to the amazing food in both restaurants, our stay was the perfect antidote to the pace and stress of everyday life at home. No request is ever too much trouble for any member of staff from housekeeping to the spa, waitors to the yoga intstructor. A week flew past, we could have happily stayed another."The Village House: "Mr and Mrs Smith style boutique hotel"
"Myself and a friend stayed at The Village House for one night a couple of weeks ago, and we both left saying that we could have stayed for much longer. If I go back to Borneo I intend to stay there for at least a week! The room was lovely and clean, modern, unpretentious and very comfortable. The bathroom was big, with a powerful shower. It was quiet and felt safe and secure. The hotel has a lovely pool, which has lots of nice plants and trees around it that give it a great deal of character. The restaurant and 'bar' area is around the pool, we ate both lunch and supper at the hotel as there is nowhere else around (I believe the closest restaurant is a 5km drive away), but eating at the hotel was the best decision anyway, as their food is some of the best we had over the course of the trip, which is high praise in Malaysia! The beach is about 2 minutes away from the hotel on foot, it is huge and quite striking with lots of trees and deadwood on the beach. The sea was extremely warm, it is quite shallow for a long way out, so perhaps not the best if you want a real dip. Sadly I was attacked by a jelly fish so my swim was abruptly ended. According to the hotel they are not that rare, but not dangerous, perhaps not the best place from swimming though! Overall I found it comfortable, the staff were lovely and helpful, and I would highly recommend its restaurant. If you are looking for somewhere with lots of bars and restaurants, however, this is not the area for you!"MesaStila Resort and Spa: "Perfect romantic/family getaway"
"My wife and I stayed in MesaStila for 4 nights at the end of October, the occasion being our babymoon (last holiday before the baby is born). From start to finish our experience was wonderful and relaxing. Firstly the level of service from all staff at the resort (drivers, waiters, reception, spa) was exemplary. My wife had a couple of (minor) health issues during our stay, the staff were accommodating and helpful and coordinated (i.e. our driver had been told in advance to help us pick up medication after our visit to Borobodur). The location may be the primary draw for most first time visitors and they will not be disappointed. The old colonial resort is charming, set amidst a coffee plantation and ringed by volcanoes. The greenery gives way to new shades of green, wave after wave of lush vegetation. I found it simply stunning. Activities are many and will suit all sorts. I did some very tough road biking in the area, hitting a couple of almost 20% gradients, fortunately giving way to breathtaking views and awesome descents. My wife relaxed by the pool and enjoyed the spa. We both were amazed by the temple of Borobodur and were fortunate to witness a stunning sunrise. The restaurant is also very good, serving a wide variety of Indonesian and European cuisine and was enough to keep us well satisfied throughout our stay. We very much enjoyed our stay and have thoroughly recommended the resort to many friends. We are already looking forward to coming back (again and again!)."Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Brilliant"
Great place, great staff, great food. The naturalist guides were extremely competent and went way beyond just finding Leopards - though they were great at that too. The tents are comfortable. A really great place to stay.tugu bali: "Best ever"
"A true oasis in Bali!!! This hotel is amazing!!! Staff was fabulous!!!! They could not have been more accommodating Grounds are beautiful! We stayed here at the end of a long trip. It was truly an amazing end to our trip before the long trek home. "Les Maisons Wat Kor: "Very peaceful place"
"The moment you arrived stuffs welcoming you very friendly. Room it's self is fine but the bed is a little hard to sleep. Totally recommended you to eat dinner at hotel. They made a very good delicious Khmer food. But for breakfast is so so. The environment is very peaceful and so green. Very nice place to stay but recommended to go as couple or group or it will be little lonely for you."Manda De Laos: "Superb setting and attentive staff"
My wife and I ate there last night and were thoroughly impressed by the attentive staff and the quality of the food. Presentation was beyond anything you see in Canada and American. Prices are a little high by Laos standards but a bargain compared to equal caliber restaurants in the West. If you are in this quaint town.....it’s a must visit.4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Ubiquity and Tranquility"
"For the activity lovers, the nature protectors, and paradise chasers. Not even the rain could dampen the sheer beauty of 4 Rivers. Bungalows, floating on a river enveloped with mangroves. Tranquility. Ubiquity. Pure bliss. My boyfriend and I stayed at 4 Rivers for two nights and two day. Had we had the time we would have stayed longer. From the get go we experienced nothing but kindness. Attentive to our every need, it is the staff who truly shapes your experience, and it is the nature which caters to your mind, body and soul. Both are the icing on this layered cake of pure bliss. We will return, now that we have lived and breathed in the rainy season, we would love to compare to the dry. Both, we know will be incomparable. But still, we wish to have an excuse to return. To feel warm and rested is a blessing. 4 rivers is like no where else. If not for a guarantee of ubiquity. 4 rivers guarantees tranquility."Mie Cafe: "A hidden gem"
Gorgeous garden setting and fabulous food. Fresh, tasty ingredients with excellent presentation. Recommended by a local ex-monk and it didn’t disappoint. The Cabochon Hotel: "Quiet and close to everything"
We stayed recently for three nights and had a wonderful stay. This property is just off Sukhumvit Rd but very quiet and peaceful. Beautifully decorated property with eclectic pieces throughout. Our room was small but very elegant, filled with scent of lemongrass when we arrived. The bed was very comfortable with beautiful linens. Breakfast is served in the library and bar areas at comfy casual sofas. We couldn't go past the pork skewers, sticky rice and spicy sauce. Great coffee and mandarin juice were also really delicious. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They strike just the right balance between providing great service when needed and leaving you to it the rest of the time. We ate at the restaurant with friends on our last night. The food was amazing and we got to try a few new things. All together, a great stay
