Bassac Cruises: "The perfect Mekong overnight cruise"

Review by: Debbie T | Source: Trip Advisor
"We travelled on Bassac III from Can Be (2.5 hrs from Ho Chi Min) to Can Tho (4 hr return to Ho Chi Min). It's a lovely boat with very friendly staff and excellent food. We arrived in pouring rain so the staff made sure we were 'umbrella-ed' from shore to boat. The rooms are small, as they'd said, but so charming that we didn't notice. We did the right thing by leaving our main luggage in Ho Chi Min, so we only had a small case. The bathroom is a 'wet room', which looked like it'd soak everything but it didn't: it worked brilliantly! The cruise route was clearly explained and very interesting, including a guided walk around a very small Mekong hamlet to see their homes, fields and farming, school, rice wine distillery and even how they harvest methane! We were treated to a huge selection of local fruit in a local garden before re-boarding. In the morning, we toured a floating market in a 'bus boat' which was fascinating. The river is very smooth so the cruise was too, despite frequent downpours and a bit of gale at supper time. Excellent food - and lots of it - and a really friendly and interesting guide. Our cruise was full with 24 people on it (4 the day before and 2 the next day!) and we were beautifully looked after throughout. Definitely recommend this trip!"

Arumdalu: "Explore Belitung"

Review by: faizal1606 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Beautiful place.. Sangat cocok untuk honeymoon, suasana yang tentram, ditunjang dengan keindahan alam yang sangat luar biasa bagusnya. Sedikit masukan, lebih nyaman jika mau trip ke belitung pakai travel resmi.. seperti Prmi belitung travel, karena mereka lebih transparan dan fleksibel dalam handle customer."

Glenburn Tea Estate: "10 Person Photo Group from the USA"

Review by: Bill M | Source: Trip Advisor
"Some of the reviews are missing the point. If you want to spend your time whining about the road, then don't go. On the other hand, if you think of each destination as an adventure and you want to experience a wonderful property having only eight rooms, with great food and warm hospitality, then go to Glen Burn. You will not be disappointed! Even though the tea factory was idle, it was still an interesting tour through the plant to see the equipment and to listen to the story of Glen Burn Walking the nearby villages with a Glen Burn guide was perfect! So many fantastic shots!!Because of a previous trip to Glen Burn, our I-Phone teacher (Karen Divine) said it was an absolute must destination being so close to Darjeeling. Stayed February 2017, traveled with friends"

Tugu Bali: "Tugu Hotel Bali is a luxurious slice of history"

Review by: BTS_Rider | Source: Trip Advisor
I stayed in a Dedari suite while I was at the Tugu Hotel Bali. I loved having the private plunge pool and outdoor swing daybed. I also quite liked the outdoor bathtub with attached koi pond. However, the hotel decor is what's so amazing here, and it is definitely one of the main reasons for staying at this hotel. Everywhere you look there are beautiful antiques and artefacts. It's a living museum. I also took in the Thursday evening cultural dinner which includes a Balinese dance and music performance. If you are a traveller looking for a truly unique Bali experience this is the place to have it.

Supanniga Eating Room: "Excellent food and great service."

Review by: bencomley | Source: Trip Advisor
We had some really different and interesting dishes at this restaurant with the unrepeatable name for westerners. The Isan cuisine from northeast thailand has some really unique flavours and is distinct from most of the food you'll have tasted in standard Thai restaurants. The prices are high for the area but still a bargain. Service was excellent and the obligatory sticky rice with mango was delicious. Without any alcohol we spent 1,700 baht on mains and a shared pudding and some fancy fresh fruit drinks. Highly recommended.

Villa Song Saigon: "Great escape"

Review by: Jane P | Source: Trip Advisor
"A lovely get away, small boutique hotel by the river. Sanctuary room with pool view was outstanding. Quiet, nice size, loved the balcony. Breakfast is fantastic, a la carte menu, wish we had more time to enjoy it. Spa is great, professional staff, loved the massage. Overall staff is doing their best to make you feel peaceful and they will help you, if needed. Will love to come back. - things for the hotel to improve; there's nowhere to hang the towels in the toilet, beds was good but needs some attention since it made noises each time one was moving and the last thing, more service by the pool. We could use a drink in the afternoon (even though room mini bar is complementary) Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"

Maison Polanka: "Even better than advertised!"

Review by: pln61 | Source: tripadvisor.com
"To have seen the gorgeous pictures on their website and read the lovely descriptions, one might say “not possible”, but somehow, Maison Polanka manages to exceed one’s expectations --greatly! Our group stayed in the Khmer House and Green Room. Both are spacious and full of character, with an impeccable and sophisticated mix of contemporary and traditional decorations. But rest assured that here style does not come at the expense of guests’ comfort: Extremely comfortable beds; powerful and responsive AC; inviting bathrooms with walk-in showers; indulgent bed and bath linens and amenities; everything spotlessly clean; etc. (...) Service was extraordinarily attentive. At Maison Polanka, our needs and wants were not simply met, they were anticipated. A few examples of the innumerable gestures of hospitality and warmth extended to our group by Cathy and every one of the staff at Maison Polanka : Throughout our four-day stay (amidst the steamy and broiling heat of September ...), every single time we came back to the hotel, no sooner did we walk through the gate when we would be met with chilled towels and a smile; our group was eternally grateful for the abundant supply of chilled towels (with menthol) and bottled water that Maison Polanka so thoughtfully sent with our touring van; knowing our tight schedules, Cathy and Harold worked tirelessly and thoughtfully (and even with last-minute revisions) to be sure that our tours and shopping excursions met our interests; Cathy knew our flight details better than we, and she and Harold were the ones who kept checking with our airline for the most accurate updates while we shamefully lounged around; the yogurt at breakfast was so good, I offered a taste to a friend; within minutes, yogurt magically appeared on her tray. By the way, there is a great deal of talents in the kitchen at Maison Polanka where the preparations reflected a preference for refined nuances and where the presentation was visually stunning : We fell in love with Cambodian cuisine here (...) To the owners of Maison Polanka and to everyone of their amazing staff: thank you for creating for your guests this haven in Siem Reap!"

Rachamankha: "Such a great place"

Review by: Matt W | Source: Trip Advisor
"We were very surprised by the quality of the staff ans hotel itself. Buetifully planned, very well maintained witch charming atmpsphere of an old ""monastery"" type of building. Staff is vert well trained, good English, very helpful and attentive. Rooms are of good size, nicely decorated, very high ceilings, perfect AC, good shower. Breakfast really with plenty of choice both on buffe and menu. Location is quiet, in a tiny street but very close to main attractions. Wifi OK. Nice pool, well maintained greenery. Very much recomendable place. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"

Tugu Malang: "Luxury and services are beyond expectation"

Review by: AdFiaSasongko | Source: Trip Advisor
"I was there only for a day and wish to come back soon. The room was impecable, perfect with a touch of personal welcome in a card. Our room facing the front hotel but not noisy at all. The bedsheet was super clean and it was a standard five hotel services and facility. The amenities was not much but enough. Small pool but convenient enough for children. Good selection of breakfast with some a la carte menu. The hospitality is unbelievably super friendly. A typical warm small size five star hotel that you would never experience in a big busy hotel. This hotel was beautiful in a an outdated way, and you may find it quite spooky at the back part, but for some, it may be the point of attraction. "
