Villa Song Saigon: "Superb!"
Wow! I don't even know where to start! It was the lap of luxury. It oozed style, chic and elegance. The large French colonial style fans in the rooms and hallways created a wonderful atmosphere. Our room was large and stylish. The swimming pool area was immaculately clean and well attended with constant supplies of ice water. The breakfast was absolutely exceptional. We were looked after by Freddie who put a lot of effort and personal touch into serving us. Regular speed boat free shuttle into the city centre means you are just minutes from the buzz of Ho Chi Minh. I would definitely recommend this hotelManda De Laos: "Fantastic food and location"
We stayed right across the road from this restaurant and so decided to splash out a bit and have a meal here. The restaurant setting was beautiful. We walked in without a reservation and were given a table right by the lily pond - however it is low season at the moment and we went quite early (around 6pm). The food was superb! The starters were definitely the highlight - we had the traditional sausage and the papaya salad with melting pork both of which were delicious!! It's definitely expensive for SE Asia, but we really enjoyed our meal here and would go back. We paid around £45 for two courses and a cocktail each for two people.Reverie Siam: "Wonderful Place in Pai"
We heard about how wonderful Pai in rainy season. First, we have no idea about recommendation then coffee shop at Pai suggest us to visit here once. When we came in the staff very kind and sincerely. Room clean and beautiful. lovely view. The beakfast is the best.Dewakan: "Great Birthday Treat!"
"Enjoyed every course served with great service. I was one happy birthday girl. It was exciting to wait and see how each dish was served, and all were creatively made. Completely different from anything I have ever eaten before, and would definitely love to go back! One thing though, the ambience doesnt give a fine dining feeling....I am sure that can be worked on."Villa Mathis: "Magnifique et magique"
Great place to relax and amazing food"
"We stayed for 3 nights in this charming resort, we came in from chiang mai by car, an interesting 2,5 h drive through a curvy landscape... We got a villa, as requested, with very good privacy (no11), everything in the villa is exactly as you see it on the internet.. The resort itself has a colonial style, very well done, we had all our dinners over here, their staff will do everything to accomodate you, food was outstanding (although more western style), but really delicious. We asked one night to be seated with view on the river, again no problem at all ! Breakfast is another great moment, nothing to fault on it. The resort itself has free transport to Pai, which itself is a small laidback town, nice nightmarket, you can very easily rent a (cheap) vespa style bike, driving around is easy, the main attraction points will not overwhelm you but because of the laidback nature it stays charming. Overall we loved our stay overhere, great place to stay, excellent staff, excellent food, we for sure would recommend this to anyone visiting Pai."Chakrabongse Villas: "Chakrabongse Villa – Royalty @ the Chao Phraya River"
"I was there for the 4th. tme in several years and it get's even better ! Chakrabongse Villa lies in my favourite part of the old city. Situated on the Rattanakosin Island @ walking distance from the pulsing food and flower market of BKK - Phak Klong Talad. Chakrabongse Villa is a very distinguished and stylised Boutique hotel and restaurant almost opposite the famous Wat Arun. The setting is gorgeous, the food is Thai and of course a little bit farang-style, but over all. To have dinner here with your friends or family is a real experience. The staff is very friendly, The wine-list could be bigger and at the end you just have to try it to to ad another experience to your life."Flower Island: "Absolutely Amazing"
"My husband and I came to flower island as part of our honeymoon. This is an absolute MUST! It is honestly a once in a life time experience. I have been fortunate enough to travel a lot, especially through Asia, including Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand and the Phillippines. I have also stayed in places like Bora Bora. flower island still amazed me and took my breath away. You are on your own secluded island with only a hand full of guests. You stay in a tree house like accommodation- my husband and I felt like Tarzan andJane! You are surrounded by beauty and it is the most relaxing experience. The staff on the island are so friendly. It is very relaxed, and some people may like that 5 star 'being doted on hand and foot' style of service, but this place is so easy going and care free. The service is genuine and kind. Please remember, they lead an island life style, and it is relaxed. There is a bar and a beautiful, earthy restaurant where all your meals are catered for. Nice home cooked meals. I would recommend you get to the dining area as soon as the meal time begins to avoid the food cooling, as it's a buffet style. Also, as my husband and I swam and kayaked all day, we were a little hungry between meals, so we would recommend you bring some of your own snacks. Also, as it's a place that respects and is in touch with nature, expect some small visitors (like bugs etc) to your room, so maybe bring bug spray to deter mosquitos, and I would recommend a torch. I would also recommend a room with air conditioning as it can get a little steamy. We had this style room and it was comfortable. I would also highly recommend the pearl farm tour. Whilst the tour was interesting, the place where they take you to snorkel is amazing and essentially untouched as the area is highly protected. Most of the coral we saw on previously in our el Nido island hopping tours was dead, but this snorkel spot is just breath taking. The best I have ever seen! On the island as well there is a light house, which you can stay in for no extra charge- a great experience for those who are a Little more adventurous! You can walk to the top of the light house and are presented with a 360 degree view! Amazing. Such a wonderful place that offers priceless views and the most relaxing time away. It is worth the slightly expensive transfers in (van and boat ride) but the speed boat ride itself is exciting- we felt like James Bond on our way in! Very classy and a great entrance! One of my favorites spots I have been to so far in all my travels. Such a beauty and one of a kind. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"MesaStila: "A peaceful sanctuary"
"MesaStila Resort and Spa is very serene and quiet; it is lovely for a getaway to do some writing, reading and relaxing. Our room (Aroum Villa) also had an outdoor day bed area which had the view of Mt Andong which was terrific. The room came with a bath tub which was nice to soak in and just while the time away. The room also had all the necessary amenities to make it a comfortable stay. The staff also made our bed and refilled the water twice a day. We also had complimentary fruits, and desserts in the evening. I would definitely recommend this to friends who are intending to have a short getaway, and I must say the staff at the resort made the stay very comfortable; they were attentive to our needs, and made us feel at home. We had a cycling trip to Candi Umbul and Grabag market, and our guide Nur made the experience very worthwhile. We also had a Sunrise tour at Borobodur and it was breathtaking. The tour guide, Latiff, provided many insights into the culture and philosophy of the Buddhists, and shared information about Indonesia as well. My friend and I didn't manage to try the Hammond spa (which was award-winning) and we would love to do so when we next visit MesaStila. One minor quip I had was how the menu was the same for the 4 days we were there; if there could be more variety, it would have made the resort experience perfect. My friend and I particularly liked the Indonesia dishes (at dinner) and the breakfast menu - A recommended dish would be the Nasi Goreng (fried rice). You can choose either red or white rice for the said dish, and we had the red rice option; I must say, it was a pleasant surprise! I particularly liked the muesli at breakfast - the breakfast was hearty and kept us filled for the day. I can go on about how lovely our experience at MesaStila was, but I'm afraid my words would not do justice to it; you would just have to experience it. They have thought out activities to keep their guests occupied (as the resort is situated rather far away from the city area) and have gone the extra mile to make the experience unforgettable for their guests. Lastly, I would recommend having tea at the Club House; it is calming and relaxing and the pastries went well with their wide selection of teas (and coffee). I truly had a reinvigorating time at the resort; I invite you to experience the same."Maison Polanka: "Our second home"
We just loved how they treat their guests like their own family. We stayed here for 4 days and loved it. Our room is so clean and the best part is that the food being served to us when we go back to the hotel after a long tiring day at the temple is tasty! Over all the place itself is magical. We loved the pool an the garden with a lot of flowers blooming.
