David’s Kitchen: "Outstanding restaurant — must visit"

Review by: tmas1987 | Source: Trip Advisor
My wife and I visited on our honeymoon and we had an absolutely wonderful time. The venue itself is beautiful, and the service and food were terrific -- the best meal we had in Thailand. Add to that very good cocktails and an excellent wine selection. The staff even arranged for private car service back to our hotel. David's Kitchen is an absolute must visit when in Chiang Mai.

Maison Polanka: "Tropical paradise with outstanding service"

Review by: sued_61 | Source: Trip Advisor
We stayed here for our 30th wedding anniversary and had one of the most amazing few days of our lives. From the personalised greeting at the airport , our anniversary flowers, the welcome drink with lemongrass as a straw and the beautiful decoration throughout the property, it is such a special place. I haven't felt so spoilt since I was a child at my grandmother's house. We slept late one afternoon after an early start at the temples, so candles were light so I could take a late swim, fresh baked cakes are delivered to your sun bed as you swim and you are always greeted with a smile. Best hotel I have ever stayed in and I shall return.

The Island Lodge: "A quaint oasis in the Mekong Delta"

Review by: pdbecker | Source: Trip Advisor
We booked to stay at The Island Lodge for 4 nights in May 2016. After travelling through Vietnam from Hanoi and the North, and steadily heading south, we spent a couple of days in Saigon before going to the Mekong. Michel kindly arranged transfers for us from Saigon well before we left for our trip, and all went to plan. We drove down but you can get there by boat as well. It was just the perfect relax-a vous place after the hectic touring of cities. Our room overlooking the pool was excellent, and the staff were lovely, and tree so hard to please us, even though their English was not perfect- however much more perfect than our Vietnamese! It's a charming small resort, and we went on a personal tour with Michel on bikes along some amazing tracks we'd never find on our own, for around 3 hours, on the Ferry and through little villages with everyone saying hello along the way. It was a really unique and bespoke tour and Michel was the perfect host along the way. Food was great and we couldn't have been better looked after. If you are into small hotels which are well run, but offer something deferent to the big internationals, you'll love this place. It only has 12 rooms, so that'll give you an idea of how boutique it is.

Maduzi Hotel: "Splendid experience"

Review by: 89kimiek | Source: Trip Advisor
"I thought that it was really good with a choice of this hotel. This hotel is not big at all, but the room is large, and the size of Bet is too big to sleep alone. And it is the hospitality to be glad above all. A splendid smile of the hotel staff met the calm entrance when I entered. I will stay at this hotel again. Stayed March 2017, traveled solo"

Villa Song Saigon: "Great riverside hotel in Ho Chi Minh city"

Review by: readflower | Source: Trip Advisor
"Highly attentive and professional staff. Really great setting next to the river where you can watch the fascinating array of boats go past. Really great room and a nice pool to chill by when not out sightseeing. Breakfasts are great too. Stayed November 2016, traveled with family"

Inle Princess Resort: "Beautiful"

Beautiful quiet hotel. Lovely food and great staff. Wonderful sunset views from the deck near the bar. Funky lampshades and quirky statues. The wine cellar dinner was very special. Looking forward to returning.

Rachamankha: "Serene Refined Hotel"

Review by: theobsessivetraveler | Source: Trip Advisor
"Ratchamankha, Chiang Mai, Thailand The photos posted by other travelers hardly do justice to this exquisite jewel box of a hotel. Our family of four was lucky enough to stay in one of the newly opened two-bedroom suites. A long, covered balcony, complete with a silk-cushioned bench, runs the length of the suite, providing a view to the serene courtyard and pool below. A spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated living room divides the two bedrooms. Breakfast is served around the corner in a separate courtyard. Heaven! In the evening, a fire is lit and on special nights a local musician plays traditional melodies. Asian antiques and art are displayed throughout the property. An army of workers tend the garden and the buildings, keeping everything in immaculate shape. Additionally, the owner employs many Burmese refugees, trains them, houses them, and pays them well. You can feel wonderful about supporting such a hotel. What a find!!!! "

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Wonderful retreat to experience the peace that is northern Kerala"

Review by: chairunner | Source: Trip Advisor
"The approach is a bit inauspicious, but once you enter and are greeted by the scented garland, er person who places it over you and then brings a refreshing wash towel followed by coconut water still in the nut, you know you've entered a place that won't leave you wanting. This was my second stay because it provided a perfect respite from the vibrant and fun chaos that goes with visiting India and their cities in particular. The peaceful place that allowed me to relax and unwind before returning home. The Hermitage's layout is charming, with winding foot paths connecting the villas that are surrounded by nature. The bungalows are solid, spacious, comfortable, well furnished, with options for cooling (open windows & ceiling fan or closed windows and just ac). Staff are friendly and helpful, the Arabian Sea is swimable with a wide beach and the pool great as well. The on-site food is pretty good and they'll turn up the heat if you want it that way. And if one wanders off site, on foot or by bike, you'll experience the charm and warmth of the surrounding farming & fishing communities. When visiting India and you want a calm, 'oh this adventure had to end sometime, but let's end on a serene note', Neeleshwar is a wonderful place to unwind and just be. I'll be back again!"
