Chakrabongse Villas: "Bangkok’s best kept secret hotel"
I only knew about this hotel due to the history of the Chakrabongse family, and therefore really wanted to stay there. Quite frankly it feels that you are staying in a private house in the epicentre of old Bangkok rather than a hotel. We stayed in the garden room, and even had friends over for dinner on the terrace for one of the nights. I wish I could afford to stay here every time I am in BKK, but think I will just have to settle for when I want to treat myself (and the wife !) to something special. absolutely brilliant place to stay.Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Amazing social impact work and experience"
"Reflecting on the amazing past weeks in Myanmar. I arrived enamored by the strength of its people (especially its women) amidst its sour history of civil war and political unrest. I leave impressed by people and organizations like Yin Myo Su and Inle Heritage who have a vision that holds in balance the need to have Myanmar operate on a global platform but done in a way that preserves and cherishes its rich heritage, culture and environment. After three days of social impact workshops, we are excited by the thoughtful and intentional process that Inle Heritage Foundation and its team are making in using ecotourism as a powerful tool for good. Inle Heritage not only role models what a social business can operate like in Myanmar, but also trains its people to think differently, be curious, and challenge prevailing status quos, while also advocating for the preservation of the rich heritage and ecosystem endemic of the Inle Lake region. Thank you for your immense hospitality Missu, you and your team are an inspiration! We look forward to keeping in touch and following your social change progress!"Babe: "Great food and great view"
"Food : we had the set dinner / omakase and it was amazing. It was nice to be surprised at every course. View : we were seated inside but we took a stroll to the outdoor seating. The view is very great. Special mention to the lady host which speaks multiple languages."Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Best cuisine"
I have not enough words to thank the most exciting chef in cambodia. Never been disappointex after all these years. Thank you Johannest ! amazing evening !MesaStila: "Excellent, Friendly Resort"
"It's a village so it's not in the middle of town but absolutely worth finding. From the time you check in, until you finally have to hand back the key, MesaStila pampers you up & down, in & out. The staff at the resort were the friendliest has we ever encountered. Everyone from the greeter at the gate, the check in staff, restaurant wait staff and spa/pool staff were so welcoming. Up and down the hills, the team will help you get around in their activities. Hiking, coffee plantation, yoga and various activities are available to tire you out. Go ahead and get tired. The room was beautiful, clean and very comfortable Room amenities include the robes and sundries you'd expect in a property of this calibre so it ends up being the staff that makes MesaStila such a great place to stay. It was a very relaxing trip and we will definitely be back! cheers!"Kenanga Hotel: "Stunning"
We only had two nights in Ubud at the end of our two week Bali holiday but I wish we had longer at Kenanga. What a beautiful peaceful hotel. Amazing rooms, helpful staff and such a nice private location. Would highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to go back. The Apsara Rive Droite: "Wonderful hotel with first-class service from friendly staff"
"Everything about the Aspara Rive Droitte is just right. Mr Ai and Mr Hann (the management team) and Mr Ivan (the owner) went out of their way to make our stay wonderful and all the other staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, with the hotel's dedicated Aspara Queen taking 60 seconds to cross the Nam Khan and deliver you to the heart of Luang Prabang - and, conversely, escape to the more serene side of the Nam Khan. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, and breakfast wonderful. The pool is a welcome relief from the heat of Laos, with the bar just a few steps away. After 5 days at this home-from-home, we were sad to leave. We hope to go back"David’s Kitchen: "The BEST pumpkin soap EVER"
"After reading the reviews on TripAdvisor, I made a reservation online for celebrating my sister's birthday. It is simple and convenient. That night was fully booked, David greeted me and my sisters on self, then the receptionist brought us to the table immediately. It was so sweet that a greeting card with our names and a birthday card was prepared. We ordered three dinner set and oysters. The serving speed was just right. There are three types of bread, which you can refill. Started with The Salmon Gravlax and Oysters and then the Pumpkin soup. The Pumpkin soup is definitely a highlight!! It has rich pumpkin taste and creamy. The fried sweet potato ball was perfectly matched with the soup. I was surprised with the soup, which was the BEST pumpkin soup EVER! After that, a lemon sorbet was served to clean up the aftertaste. It was so considerate. The main dishes are also tasty, while, the Paris mash is really great. It has a strong taste of truffles. LOVE it. The team sang a birthday song to my sister before the desserts were served, highly recommended the Sticky toffee pudding with vanilla bean ice cream. David was nice, he kept chatting with the guests for the whole night. The little details showed his caring and respect. I feel so warm. Just wanna thanks the whole DK team, giving us a perfect night! If you have any doubts, just don't hesitate to make an online reservation and try it yourself."Villa Song Saigon: "Top class!"
"We recently stayed at the Villa Song for the first leg of our honeymoon in beautiful Vietnam. After a choice of two rooms, we opted for a suite with balcony overlooking the river at the front of the hotel - what a fab choice! The hotel oozes charm and elegance with stunning French colonial decor and a relaxing pool area away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Food and service is exceptional with a particular thanks to the front of house team and Freddie the restaurant manager who made us feel very welcome. This really is a gem of a hotel..we hope to return again one day."satrin house: "The Oasis in Luang Prabang"
"This resort is very charming and colonial, tucked away from the main town area, with a very serene and quiet surrounding. The main town area is just some easy 5-8 min walk away, which gives this resort the best of both worlds - convenient yet peaceful. The service was excellent. We were personally greeted by Mr Lucky and Ms Navinda, both were very warm and hospitable. Breakfast was superb too, with very interesting choices and generous servings. Room make-up service was very prompt and frequent, and they would replace the used towels with clean ones each time they make up the room. There are 2 pools in the resort, with a lot of secret hidden corners for you to discover, and you can have the whole place to yourselves to relax. Before checkout, the hotel staff even packed the breakfast for us to eat before our flight. What a nice gesture! We would not hesitate to return and recommend this place to everyone visiting Luang Prabang. "
