Mathis Retreat: "Very nice Boutique Hotel"
I stayed at the Mathis Retreat with a friend for 2 nights and we loved it. The rooms are specious and very beautiful. The breakfast is great and right next to the pool with a beautiful view over a rice fields. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It was a great experience, thank you.Rachamankha: "Heavenly stay"
"This ranks as one of our family's favorite hotel stays. Rachamankha is a gorgeous, tranquil oasis that's well located in Chiang Mai. The property is large for the middle of town, artfully filled (in a minimalist way) with antiques and good attention to detail. We loved the pool (so welcome when temperatures go above 100°) and the library. It was near capacity but it always felt uncrowded and quiet. The staff are lovely and helpful. Rooms are large and well appointed (but under air-conditioned - they could use more powerful units, and better bathroom amenities befitting a property of this type.) Breakfast is wonderful, made to order and set in a perfect, lovely courtyard. We're already planning to return. Stayed March 2017, traveled with family"Maison Polanka: "Tropical paradise with outstanding service"
We stayed here for our 30th wedding anniversary and had one of the most amazing few days of our lives. From the personalised greeting at the airport , our anniversary flowers, the welcome drink with lemongrass as a straw and the beautiful decoration throughout the property, it is such a special place. I haven't felt so spoilt since I was a child at my grandmother's house. We slept late one afternoon after an early start at the temples, so candles were light so I could take a late swim, fresh baked cakes are delivered to your sun bed as you swim and you are always greeted with a smile. Best hotel I have ever stayed in and I shall return.Sukoon Houseboat: "A special and memorable experience"
"Even before we stepped aboard people we met were in awe of Sukoon. It is held in such high regard. The staff are exceptional and go out of their way to please and cater for your every need. We relaxed upstairs on the roof where tea and delicious homemade biscuits were served. Once you have pre-ordered the choice for dinner, it is bought locally and cooked to order in the evening. Delicious. The rooms were extraordinary with their rich wood carving and offered every modern convenience. A most memorable and special experience."Reverie Siam: "Four days in Pay"
Hi I would like to tell you just to book as you will not be disappointed with this hotel. We could of stopped forever in the villa next to the river. The food is excellent and we ate there quite a lot. The only problem I have with my entire stay is that there was not more of a Thai cuisine on the menu. Apart from that absolutely nothing whatsoever to mention. We will be back for a couple of weeks next time. Very helpful staff to.Tugu Malang: "Tolle Umgebung um Ruhe zu finden"
Besser geht nicht!"David’s Kitchen: "Wonderful birthday meal – amazing atmosphere and phenomenal food"
We had such a great evening at David's Kitchen last night. From the moment we walked in, the staff were so welcoming and friendly. They had decorated the table and left a card for me as we were celebrating my birthday. David, himself came and had a lovely chat with us, sharing a few of his stories. We noticed he made the effort to go around to most of the tables, making sure everyone was having a good evening! He gave us dinner and wine recommendations for our meal which we followed, and were not disappointed. My boyfriend had the pumpkin soup and the beef cheek. I had the spicy fish salad and the chicken breast with mushroom sauce. Both were delicious. I asked for extra sauce with my chicken, and the lovely waitress brought me out some and then brought me an extra helping without me asking for it, as she didn't want me to run out. They sang happy birthday whilst one of the gents played guitar and they gave me a little bunch of roses, which although slightly embarrassing was a really nice gesture. They went above and beyond to make us feel really special and we enjoyed every minute. It is a definitely one of the best, if not the best restaurant in Thailand and as such is more expensive than usual Thailand prices, but we are used to London prices and had we had this same meal back home we would have likely paid 4x the price and wouldn't have minded doing so. Thank you to the whole team it was a fantastic night that we won't forget in a hurry.David’s Kitchen: "Another beautiful evening"
The service is spectacular. Table presentation perfect. They could have served anything and one would have been happy. However the food they served was good - very good. Oh - back in Hong Kong planning next tripThe Island Lodge: "Excellent experience"
"We only stayed at The Island Lodge for one night but had a great experience. The staff including Michel the owner was very friendly and welcoming. Great rooms with view to the mekong delta and cleaning was spotless. Breakfast was really good and the winelist for dinner is second to none in all of Asia. We can definetely recommend The Island Lodge Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Simply amazing and unforgettable"
"We stayed in tent 6 north for 2 nights...we do have regrets about our stay. And that is basically the fact that we didn't stay longer. This place is beautiful. A friendly welcome on arrival as we then took a boat ride to the resort. Having just come from Phnom Penh the first thing that hits you is the calmness. A further friendly and informative welcome once we reached the resort. We arrived mid afternoon and took advantage of the wonderful food and sipped a couple of beers on the deck in front of our superb accommodation. The sheer size of the tents and the comfort factor and ammenities available are fantastic. I loved the fact you could unzip the tent to allow you to see the beautiful surroundings at all times. As well as allowing a subtle breeze. The fans provided help with the heat and humidity and the bed is large and comfortable. I love how EVERYTHING moves with the flow of boats passing or people walking on the walkways. Dinner choices are required in advance where you can choose the set menu of the day or simply pick what you like from the standard menu. Breakfast choices are also required in advance. The food is very tasty and the restaurant staff very polite and efficient. We enjoyed a trip to the waterfall. Our 2 guides and boat driver were very good and also great fun. Very interesting to hear how they now have jobs at the resort having been poachers. We arrived prior to anyone else and it was great. The water is warm to swim and the scenery gorgeous. Butterflies everywhere and of course the flowing falls. Fried rice cooked fresh on boar for lunch which was delicious. A thunderstorm started upon our return boat trip..I'm not good with lighting and I'll never forget the guides 'ducking' and 'cowaring' with each lightning strike...when I saw what damage the lightning strikes had caused to their coconut trees you'd understand why. Thankfully after watching the rain fall with such force into the river as we arrived back it stopped. We went on the free trip to see the fire flies. Stunning and so bizarre that they all congregate to one tree..it flashes like a Christmas tree...but it much more beautiful...and the stars...in such darkness the stars are so bright. We were off to Kep after here and were so glad to be given the choice of when we departed. 8am 10am or 12pm. We went with the later time so to optimise our time. Using this to take a leisurely breakfast and to take the kayaks out for a paddle round the island. We saw rhinoceros hornbills and archer fish. Highly recommend 4 rivers. Long may it stay exactly as it is"
