Dewakan: "Molecular gastronomy and haute cuisine for traditional Malay flavours"
"The best meal I have ever eaten, and my wife thought the same. And we have eaten in a lot of excellent restaurants around the world. This relatively new restaurant must be heading for a Michelin star before very long. The 10 course tasting menu included some of the finest and most surprising dishes I have ever tasted. Outrageously bold and delicious flavour and texture combinations using traditional Malay flavours and local ingredients, served with genuine flair for presentation. The staff provide wonderful service in this small restaurant currently housed in KDU university buildings. Go. Go soon before it becomes impossible to get a table. Go so you can tell people you supported this chef and this restaurant before they were famous."Maison Polanka: "Our second home"
We just loved how they treat their guests like their own family. We stayed here for 4 days and loved it. Our room is so clean and the best part is that the food being served to us when we go back to the hotel after a long tiring day at the temple is tasty! Over all the place itself is magical. We loved the pool an the garden with a lot of flowers blooming. The Twelve Hotel: "Highly recommend"
A bit far from centre but easy to get to BTS by motorcycle or Tuktuk. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, swimming pool is nice too but we have to time to try it. Overall a good experience to stay at The Twelve Hotel !4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Fantastic break from the outside world!"
During our trip of Cambodia (Jan'18), we spent two nights here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We drove from Sihanoukville International Airport and were able to reach their reception point in little under 3 hours. The 25 min ride from the reception point to the actual lodge builds up the anticipation in a good way as some of the scenery is just jaw-dropping. Quant little tents with all the required amenities, extremely comfortable and a private deck for yourself, which you can use for enjoying the sun or jumping into the Tatai River wherever you want. With little or no phone connectivity (only Metfone has any sort of connectivity here), you can switch off from the outside world and just spend time with nature. They also take you in a boat to enjoy the sights of fireflies in the evening and it looks magical. You can enjoy the sunset as well (an hour's ride in a boat down the Tatai river) or other trips that they can arrange for you on demand. They maintain a decent DVD collection which you can use (they don't have satellite TV and this is a good change). Paulo (manager) and Narayan were super hospitable and ensured that every little request is taken care of and that you are well looked after. I would recommend this to anyone traveling to Cambodia.Cuca: "Fabulous"
Best food and staff . Great interior or watch kitchen working and eat . Very professional went three timesAnopura: "A lovely escape"
My mother and I had one of the nicest stays of our trip to India here. The food is excellent. The staff are lovely and the location is peaceful. It was a nice break from the frenetic cities of Rajasthan. The accommodation is excellent. The decor is very tasteful. We regretted not being able to stay a second night. The staff are very well trained. They are helpful without being intrusive.Cuca: "Wonderful dining experience with superb service"
One of the most enjoyable dining experiences I've ever had. You can sit inside or outside in the beautiful and spacious garden. There are also limited says available looking directly into the kitchen where you can see e chefs preparing. We chose the chefs selection menu and found that all the dishes were delicious, and very well presented. The real highlight for myself, and for my girlfriend who doesn't care for seafood was the smoked butterfish - make sure you try this it's unbelievable. The meat and potatoes dish, which is essentially a dressed up shepherds pie, is the real surprise. I've eaten many in my time but none so rich and warming as this. Seasoned absolutely perfectly. The desserts are also very good and the cocktails are incredible! They do double measures of each one which really made me happy! Finally the superb service of the ultra friendly staff has to be noted - from the moment we stepped in- and to when our waiter escorted us to our taxi outside. A memorable evening.Tugu Bali: "Classic & Classy at the same time"
"Canggu is a fun part of Bali, it's a great mix of being on the water as well as being very laid-back and hip (like Ubud and unlike Kuta). And Tugu is one of the oldest properties there - but they seem quite contemporary in a 'here's what classic Bali architecture is like' way. You can't go wrong if you don't mind paying the Tugu prices. The rooms are really nice and unique, and designed well. It's a hop-skip-jump to the beach. My only complaint would be that Friday night parties on the beach tend to be really loud, but hey, it's the beach. Super service, and awesome staff. What a breakfast! Room Tip: See if you can get the ones with a view of the sea"Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Exceptional!"
The team at Inle Heritage made my arrival in Myanmar so smooth and welcoming. The team patiently and wonderfully indulged me with all my cultural questions that I bombarded them with. Transfers were super easy and the tour of the lake was nicely curated. I am notoriously picky and there are two hotels that I have been mentioning in the same breath since my return; The Puli in Shanghai and Inle Heritage. Service was exceptional, very detailed and thoughtful. The icing on the cake is that the 6 bungalows and traditional Inthar restaurant are funding the cat + fish breeding, eco farming practices, and scholarships for 40 driven hospitality students each year. Like others have said this is not luxury and there are a little few missteps now and then from the students but it doesn't matter as it is all so personal, detailed and welcoming. From the moment of my booking Ms. Thant Zin Aye, the GM, was helpful and generous over email and in person when I arrived. Ms. Nang Khin May and Ms. Chaw Su Thet Htar were so sweet welcoming. Mr. Htun A Tint is a natural in this hospitality game and will go far! I have recommended this hotel to everyone and I would be there in a heartbeat on my next trip to Myanmar.Hotel Tugu Malang: "Oasis of peace"
I love this hotel. It's gorgeous, quirky, welcoming and the service is impeccable. An hour before we needed to leave to visit a mosque my daughter realized her only long sleeved shirt was incredibly wrinkled. We called reception and her shirt was promptly pressed. There are too many exquisite details to list but to name a few : fresh flowers, fruit and glass bottle of mineral water in the room, beautiful lobby with koi pond and fountain, and the quickest room service ever. As a first time visitor to Indonesia, I feel somewhat overwhelmed but returning to Hotel Tugu after a busy day sightseeing is like coming home.
