Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Fabulous visit and incredible views"
Spent 3 glorious nights at Tiger Mountain Pokhara. It is an amazing place and worth the additional expense. The views to the Annapurna range are simply magnificent and waking up to a sunrise over the mountains is very special. The rooms/cabins are very luxurious and perfectly outfitted . The food is wonderful and always the option to have spicier Nepalese or tamer continental fare. The staff couldn’t be more helpful or accommodating whether it was to arrange specialty birding walks or medicine for a stomach ailment. After the hectic world of Kathmandu this place was more than a breath of fresh air. I would encourage you to make time to spend a few days at Tiger Mountain Pokhara!Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Paradise"
Wonderful location and impeccable service. The clubhouse offers good, locally Thai food and the breakfasts are great. The houses are clean, well furnished, and some have great views of the andaman sea Also great if you´re travelling alone. The best part was experienciing moonlight over the beautiful island bay. We travelled here a family of seven and were treated with warmth and like royalty. Would highly recommend get off the beaten track in luxury! We went to the local town, Lalsot to see the market and purchase bangles, enjoyed the evening cooking school/demo and the camel cart ride in the local village. Bring individuality wrapped sweets (e.g. Starbursts) for local kids. Lots of history here.Maison Polanka: "Perfect relaxation"
Maison Polanka is one of the most beautiful hotels we have visited. The Khmer house was like a second home, a bit removed from the rest of the hotel, lovingly decorated and extremely comfortable and relaxing. The best feature is the incredibly friendly and helpful staff, nothing is too much and every wish or question is dealt with immediately. The location is a bit outside the main part of Siem Reap but there is a great restaurant within easy walking distance. Transport is easily organised via the hotel but just walking outside would probably also enable one to catch a remork within minutes. Tours and transport might be cheaper when organised elsewhere but for us convenience was most important and we thought the prices offered by the hotel were very reasonable indeed. We spent 3 days together with my husband, far from the busy life. The place is very natural and authentic along the Mekong. The hotel is quiet and charming. The French and Vietnamese food is delicious. Michel, Françoise and the staff are very professional and costumer focus. Amazing :-)Satri House: "Super stay at Luang Prabang"
"We were delighted to be at Satru house in Luang Prabang .. Very old style historical villa which was earlier used by a communist head of Laos after Frenchs left.. Excellent rooms.. Superb services.. Good breakfast.. Efficient services.. On our request they also made Vegetarian Lao cuisine for dinner. It was really a pleasure to be in Satri house for 2 nights.. From the second I arrived I knew this would be a special experience. The greeting was first class. Our room was one of the Dedari Suites and couldn't have been nicer. The attention to detail is impressive. I loved all the thoughtful decorative touches that were so very Balinese. The bed was huge and comfy. I loved the partially outdoor bathroom and the lemongrass scented products, so beautifully displayed. The customer service was impeccable. The staff were all wonderful and helpful. The food was outstanding, especially the breakfasts, which were served anytime and anywhere. The property itself is stunning and right on the beach in a prime location in Canggu. The hotel is practically a museum and is fun to wander through. I spent 4 nights here and would definitely come back.
