The Apsara Rive Droite: "Great Location! Great Hotel"
"We had a main floor room. It was large and so was the bathroom. Both the bed and the bathtub were high so there may be a problem for persons with mobility problems. Air conditioned plus a fan. Well kept and clean. The hotel was one short block from the main street where the monks come every morning. It was a ten minute walk to the night market and easy walking distance to many wats nearby. Also close to boats for river trips, especially sunset cruises. Breakfast for westerners consisted of juice, fruit, bacon and eggs, local french inspired bread and coffee. highly recommended. We got a great deal at US70.00 per night. Was worth more than that. Room Tip: All rooms face the river and a busy street which is not noisy after 10:00 at night."muang la: "So glad we chose to stay here"
"When we were looking for a place to get away from the standard visitor locations in South east Asia, this resort was proposed as an option. One of the best decisions we made on the holiday. It takes some effort to get there but it really is worth it. It is such a tranquil location, by the river with great settings for meals, the pool on the island. The rooms are excellent and the service from the staff first rate. They truly aim to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. Language is a barrier at times but we were more than ok with this as given it's location this type of resort must, as it does, put a lot back to the community. The food was of a high standard and the 5 course tasting menu for dinner really suited us. High quality food and allowing you to try dishes we wouldn't normally try. What probably added the extra touch for us though were the day trip options provided. If you enjoy walking and want to see how village life in this part of Laos is, then this is perfect. With a local guide we learned so much about the culture and were able to very naturally engage with people in the villages. Relaxing in the resort after each day made for a great balance. Muang La was a real highlight of our holiday. I thoroughly recommend it. "Amata Lanna: "Peaceful and beautiful"
Absolute gem in the heart of Chiang Mai. Close to everything and yet removed and peaceful. Staff was exceptionally helpful (finding rides, giving restaurant recommendations, giving directions, etc), grounds and room were spotless, beds comfortable. I cannot say enough lovely things about this spot. Breakfast was fantastic and cost was just right! I would absolutely stay here again! Close to a number of great restaurants and the ever so popular night market. A winner all around!Supanniga Luxury Bangkok River Cruises: "Good experience ever!"
Supanniga cruise is the best choice for us. Best service and nice staff. Food delicious completely with nice view of Chao Phaya River. Recommended.Les Maisons d’Itac: "little peaceful paradise found"
We really enjoyed the experience. Far enough from noisy Moalboal. We stayed in a private house which was huge! On the hill with our own swimming pool. The place is quite with a big garden around full of bougainvillaea and facing the sea. The Resort is very intimate with only 5 accommodations. It keep this place quiet and charming, perfect to relax, even with kids. The staff who without exception provided us with wonderful service. They are all welcoming, warm and helpful. We will definitely come back soon. Thanks again to Bryan the manager and Marivic the chef :)Mume: "Just amazing"
"I personally cannot understand the low rating. My experience here was fantastic! I am from the industry and the food & cocktails were on a really high level. Also the casual dress code and relaxed environment just make it better. For Taipei it might not be cheap, but compared to places like Hong Kong or Singapore it is! And you definitely get great quality and its worth it! Recommending this place to everyone!"Satri House: "Ooh, this Indochine feeling"
"Wanna feel like a character in an Indochine film-noir? Stay at the Satri House in Luang Prabang and you will likely grow into it! Or just stay there because the place is more than perfect. Very atmospheric rooms: nothing beats this early morning light coming into the room through these shutter doors. Dwell around those steps and shady arcades and gaze at all these decorating items - where did they get all those beautiful things from? Two swimming pools, very friendly, professional and helpful staff, beautiful garden, great restaurant - what else do you need? LP is on walking distance, but you can take a hotel bike too."Cuca: "Amazing experience!"
Great meal and a great service! We took the tasting menu and enjoyed every single dish that was served.Supanniga Eating Room: "Consistantly good"
"We've hit Supanniga again last night. Every time (twice a year) we come to Bangkok we make sure to have dinner there and have always been rewarded for sticking to good old habits. Last night was no exception. We tried to innovate choosing dishes we'd never tried before and were pleased with every single taste. Service was as always attentive. Supanigga remains a good destination for whoever is looking for good thai food with a twist in a cozy yet animated environment"Satri House: "A Royal Stay"
"Everything about this place was enjoyable. The former royal residence was elegant, charming and personable. You feel like staying at someone's home or should I say palace. When you arrive its like entering into a different era. The decor, rooms and grounds are all beautiful. Lots of nooks to find and settle in. The staff was very friendly and accommodating - even helped us with learning a view Laotian phrases. Hang out at the poolside bar before heading out. Very impressed with the hotel restaurant. Great breakfast with fresh bread etc. With so many restaurant choices in LP, we actually chose to eat our last dinner at the hotel and its was best decision. There is also a very good place right across the side street called Manda de Laos - expensive for LP but very reasonable and good. The one thing that concerned us when we book was the distance to the main area in LP. In reality, being a little secluded was preferable as the hotel was quiet and tranquil. We typically walked into town which takes 5-7 minutes. And if you don't want to walk its quite easy to get a cheap tuk tuk or take one of the hotel's bikes. We considered 3 Nagas but we made right choice. For recommendations in LP, check out Naga Creations. Its owned by a french expat that creates local artisan jewelry. I normally don't shop on vacation but this was an exception. We look forward to returning. To Giovanni and his staff - Kop chai lai lai!"
