Misool Eco Resort: "A True Island Paradise"
"There are plenty of Lengthy reviews here already so will keep this succinct. Just spent 10 Sublime days & 9 Exquisite Nights at Misool Eco Resort this September. Would have happily spent 10 more. This is a truly special place. I have not been to another resort anywhere that matches the genuine care, warmth and concern that all of the staff show for their guests. Mark and Sue, with their vast Island Resort experience, along with their humble unassuming nature bring a level of Empathetic service and understanding that is unmatched anywhere! I could list all of the other frontline staff by name and thank them individually, but I was equally impressed with all of them, as they were all totally genuine and helpful and an absolute delight to share the island with. This is not some pretentious 5 star resort in the Maldives, or Bora Bora that has spared no expense on all of the modern luxuries at the expense of its surroundings and the Native Peoples. It is a perfect, flawless uncut diamond built in perfect harmony and balance with it's mostly untouched surroundings, in a well considered, thoughtful and sustainable way. The resort manages to simultaneously give back to the local people whilst truly supporting and restoring its pristine surroundings to all of their original glory. If you are a diver, the abundance of Soft Corals and Marine Life on all of the surrounding reefs is overwhelming. If you are not a diver, a leisurely afternoon swim or snorkel on the house reef is just as impressive. You won't find another experience quite like staying Misool Eco Resort anywhere! If you are considering it, Do it! As soon as you have, you will want to go back for more."Sukoon Houseboat: "A superbly spiritual and idyllic destination"
This is a houseboat location on Lake Dal, Srinigar. It has been upgraded in the last three years and is an excellent experience for anyone looking for tranquillity in this kind of environment. Recent political disturbances will affect current travellers and will not be recommended by the UK foreign Office but once the troubles settle down again it will still be the perfect Kashmir experience. The service and courtesy is outstandingVilla Song: "Paradise by the River"
"Had the pleasure of staying at this lovely riverside villa earlier this month. Beautifully appointed with an attentive staff to match. Highlights included ultra-comfortable room and wonderful breakfasts and cocktails overlooking the river. Highly recommended"Maison Polanka: "An Oasis in Siem Reap"
Maison Polanka is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. It is in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Siem Reap but provides the most idyllic surroundings to escape to, after a full day in nearby Angkor Wat which is no more than 20 mins away. The staff are polite and efficient and have the ability to be on hand when needed, but always in the background. The food is first class and the beautiful outdoor dining area is surrounded by lush gardens and a pool and sun area. The rooms are well equipped, quiet , with good showers, and have good WiFi. As there are only 5 in total Maison Polanka has an intimate and warm feeling at all levels. The rooms each have their own large, private balcony with lounging furniture and ceiling fans that overlook the grounds. Don't be put off by the approach but be excited about what lies behind the gates. Look out for the friendly pet bunny that lives in the gardens.Reverie Siam: "Nice stop for relax"
Travelling north of Thailand we stopped at the Reverie Siam resort in Pai. All service from check-in to check-out was attentive and friendly. Very spacious room with a comfy bed. Breakfast was very good! A perfect stop for anyone looking for fresh mountain air and peaceful serenity within Pai.The Hue House: "Spectacular Restaurant"
The unforgettable moment when you enter the Hue House restaurant. The decor is just amazing with the old Hue house, reminds us of the past Hue imperial. The food has a good variety to choose from frm wrap, rolls and lots of BBQ variety to choose from. The food is just amazing and the taste is authentic. The service is good up to standards.Manda De Laos: "Special"
This restaurant is very special, it has charm, charisma, but most importantly fantastic food. The setting is amazing and the staff are friendly and efficient. This restaurant is a must if you are in Luang Prabang.Muang La Lodge: "Très beau petit hôtel en bordure d’un affluent du Mékong et de sources chaudes"
"Very nice small hotel (10 rooms) next to a tributary of the Mekong and hot springs pool and water (enough) hot for locals and hotel guests, 2 small private pools of hot water, 1 beautiful pool with private access to a river island with bars, etc. etc.! Do not miss the excursions in 4x4 in the beautiful mountain wilderness hosting different ethnic groups organized by the hotel with local English speaking guide! The entire staff except 2 Laotian manager. "Rachamankha: "Oasis in Chaing Mai"
This Ong-ard-designed hotel is a marvelous oasis in this bustling city. The staff is extremely attentive and the restaurant is as good as any in town. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the design continually surprises and pleases you. You can't go wrong staying hereCuisine Wat Damnak: "Value for Money"
"One of the most important thing for us when traveling is to have a nice dinner that feature the local cuisine and fresh produce. This restaurant did just that. Local cuisine done right with modern techniques. I believe some reviewers gave a lower rating because they did not take the full 6-course menu, of which the missing course is one of the best. USD31 for 6-course degustation menu that is executed to perfection, is definitely value for money. Thumbs up and we will definitely come again. Remember to make reservation."
