This excellent hotel is located in the heart of the old town of Chiang Mai. All major Sightseeing places are in easy walking distance. The restaurant is located in a Patio and the chef is preparing delicious dishes.

Beautiful quiet hotel. Lovely food and great staff. Wonderful sunset views from the deck near the bar. Funky lampshades and quirky statues. The wine cellar dinner was very special. Looking forward to returning.

The Samar: "Fabulous hotel"

Review by: Harriettederbyshire | Source: tripadvisor.com
Stayed here originally for 2 nights during our 3 month trip around SE Asia, as a surprise for my boyfriends birthday. Upon arrival, we were immediately upgraded for free, and shown to the most stunning villa ever! I had emailed the hotel with a few requests for my boyfriends birthday (cooking class in the morning, followed by massage and romantic dinner in the evening) and everything was put together perfectly for us. They effortlessly organised a tuk-tuk to and from town, as well as a day around the temples. The French owner was lovely to us, even extending our stay for an extra two nights for a bargain price as the hotel was quiet. The staff were attentive but not in an overbearing way. The bed was the comfiest bed I've ever slept in...felt like sleeping on a cloud!  All in all, we had a fantastic stay and would happily recommend Samar to anyone staying in Siem Reap who are looking for a little luxury hotel! One small niggle- the cookery class could have been a bit more hands on, and it did seem to be expensive for what you got.

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Such an amazing resort !!! In my heart forever"

Review by: StrawberryBordeaux | Source: Trip Advisor
"Travelling with my husband and friends, my aim was to go to Koh kong island, and I only have chosen the 4 Rivers Lodge to be a good location to reach the island. But when we discovered the island was too far away, we decided to remain in the resort for 3 days. After my disappointment of not going to Koh Kong island, I can say that I spent there one of the best vacations of my life !!! How calm it is ! You feel so cool, you only listen to birds, and the river noise.... The bedroom is fantastic... The visit to the Tatai waterfalls is so great, and the cayac ride around the island in front of the lodge is very fun... A specific award to Luce, the office manager, who was so nice with us... I really appreciated her kindness, so seldom nowadays.... When we left, I felt so bad... I would have liked to stay more.... Don't hesitate to choose this lodge, you will never regret it."

Villa Song Saigon: "They know what we want"

Review by: smallhausen1 | Source: Trip Advisor
I had only one night to spend in the city so I was looking for a quiet place with good service. And thanks to ratings from of Tripadvisor's users I've made a really good choice. HCMC is a unique city and this is a unique accomodation located there. Balance of high level of service and respect to your privacy makes the difference. And in this hotel you will find exactly everything you may require in hotel. They simply really understand their guests' needs and wishes

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Relaxing and 100% natural environment"

Review by: Archiettz | Source: Trip Advisor
Resort is located at the river, you can feel the movement of the stream. As it is surrounded by forest, you can enjoy sound of birds/insects/other animals. Service is excellent, staff is nice and helpful. Luz,the resort manager, introduces all facilities in the resort in very clear way. You can ask her any questions about the resort and she will kindly answer you all. There are no air-cons in the whole resort ,Fans are provided in the lodges and there is breeze,so you will feel very comfortable without any hot feelings. Food provided is mainly western style, taste is ok. Atmosphere of the restaurant is nice , guitar songs(recorded) are played in the restaurant area. You can enjoy swimming, fishing and canoeing in the resort. There are several tours provided in the resort e.g. Tatai waterfall, sunset tour etc. I have chosen trekking in Cardamom mountains areas. It will cost you around 8hrs but you can explore in a rain forest. If you are lucky, you can meet some wildlife during the tour. WiFi is not provided by the resort during my stay,so I have bought a 4G data card by myself in airport , it is from metphone(ISP), signal is downgraded to 2G in the resort area , but it is already enough for whatspp, skype and email. Luz said WiFi will be provided by resort very soon.

tugu malang: "Best hidden gem in Indonesia"

Review by: Sarah W | Source: tripadvisor.com
"We're currently living in Jakarta, and sometimes you need a little getaway from the Big Durian. Malang is it - and this is the hotel to stay in. I loved everything about this place. The hotel staff are really friendly - arranging early check in and late check out with no problems and playing with my baby. The rooms are gorgeous, really comfortable beds, huge beautiful bathroom with really nice products, and wood floors (great for a crawling baby). The grounds are like a museum with so many places to walk and explore. The hotel is located in a very walkable location and the hotel staff are helpful with recommendations. The restaurant has the best Indonesian food I've had in Indonesia. They'll modify for vegetarians - try the Nasi Campur. The breakfast that's included is also incredible - you can order off the menu and take from the buffet - all included! The coffee is amazing - we took home 2 bags of beans, very reasonably priced. The afternoon tea that's included offers a wonderful selection of Indonesian snacks to try and great tea and coffee. They include a welcome massage of 15 minutes, and we bought a full massage, which was really high quality and totally worth it - and reasonably priced. "

Villa Song Saigon: "Beautiful Property and Elegant Rooms"

Review by: Revere | Source: Trip Advisor
"Villa Song is a boutique hotel situated in a quieter part of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) overlooking the Saigon River. We stayed in the Sanctuary Suite, which consisted of three rooms: a sitting area with a fully stocked mini bar, kettle for tea making, a Nespresso machine (unfortunately no decaf pods), and a small couch; a bedroom with a very comfortable bed and fine, soft sheets, and a very large balcony overlooking the outside dining area and the river; an enormous bathroom with two sinks, a shower, and a large soaking tub and a closet with a safe. The floors in the main rooms are a dark wood. Each room, the sitting area and bedroom, has its own air conditioner. The hotel itself is beautiful. It looks very unassuming when you first drive up and walk through the solarium like area to get into the lobby. Once you walk into the lobby you will realize that you've walked into a special place. The hotel is a combination of bright white ceilings and dark wood floors; there's outside and inside dining areas, a pool, a spa and a gym. It's not a large resort like property, it's small and intimate, but has everything you need. Others have mentioned the water shuttle, which we did not use because we had set up some private tours. Given the traffic in Saigon, we would have used it if we weren't touring. The staff is gracious and helpful. Our flight out of Ho Chi Minh City was very early in the morning, and the woman at the desk had the kitchen staff prepare a ""to-go"" breakfast for us. We were grateful for the thoughtfulness. We happened to be there on the weekend. On Saturday night, the property hosted a wedding. The hotel management offered to pay round trip cab fare if you wanted to dine off the property. We chose to order room service, sit on our balcony, and watch the wedding. But their offer for round trip cab fare is a good example of how customer service oriented the hotel is. Breakfast was included in our room charge. They offer the traditional American type breakfasts with eggs, French toast, pancakes etc, along with Asian fare. We ate dinner one night at the hotel; my braised beef ravioli (an appetizer I had as a main course) was very good and the pasta was homemade. I added a pea soup as a starter; the soup was puréed and came with chopped shrimp nestled on the top of the soup. We sat outside on the deck overlooking the water, which I'd recommend. (We were surprised that there were no bugs.) It was fun to sit out there under the palm trees watching the traffic on the river float by. Two drawbacks--there's no elevator, at least I didn't see one, which wasn't a problem for us, but it might be for people who have difficulty climbing stairs, beautiful dark wood staircases, mind you, but stairs nonetheless. (I think the hotel only has three floors.) And the property next door is a bit noisy with karaoke signing in the evening. Our tour guide told us that karaoke is very popular in Viet Nam. While it didn't last past ten p.m., and it's not something under Villa Song's control, it was loud at times. The hotel is expensive, and you get what you pay for--excellent service, elegant rooms, and a top-notch experience."

Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "A place to die for!"

Review by: momoN4738LR | Source: tripadvisor.com
"Marcus, I said that and more in your guest book. It's very difficult to put into words what an absolutely spectacular place to spend a few days. Would have preferred the six. Wonderful welcome from all. Tea with home baking on arrival is a very good start. Pampering at best. Nothing was any bother. We didn't feel as though staying at a hotel. I know we were lucky weather wise. Breakfast with that view, oh boy, plus homemade bread. Cannot go wrong. My wildlife pics are thanks to Hari rather than me. He has good eyesight. My fellow travelers have the same opinion. We are still swapping pics. I said I would be back and I will. Perhaps not with the same tour operator as, yes, itinerary has changed. Very many thanks to you and the boys. Also my cake and pressie"
