"We stayed at the Island Lodge in January 2017 for three nights. A wonderful, peaceful spot with fantastic service and food! We were glad that we chose a riverview room and enjoyed watching life pass us by on the Mekong. The transfer from the airport took about 2 hours. We took a coconut farm tour offered by the lodge that was great, a combo of a boat ride and bicycling through back paths around the island that had little or no traffic. We also had the same guide, Kuy (not sure how he spelled it) take us across the river to the small city of My Tho. We took bikes and visited the Buddhist temple and the fruit market and got a good taste of Vietnam life in an area with few Westerners. The Island Lodge would be a nice stop before or after the chaos of Ho Chi Minh City. I spent 2 nights there with my friend. It is really a relax and peaceful place with the amazing view of jungle and Tatai River. The staffs are excellent, they are very friendly and helpful. The food is also tasty. In concluded, we really enjoyed this trip. It is really a unique resort in Koh Kong. I hope I will back to stay there again soon.Tugu Lombok: "A magical place"
We stayed in Tugu for 5 days, enjoyed our rooms, the decor of the hotel, the amazing decor of the restaurants and bars, the Spa, the beautiful pool, the peace, the wonderful beach, the lovely complimentary tea time with scrumptious patisseries, the service, the smiles. "From the get go I was impressed by this place, the pool, the decor, the rooms, the cleanliness, convenience, service, food and drinks. The Village house was perfect for our large group of 11 offering us the convenience of having almost everything in the one area. We could enjoy each others company easily and still have a basic needs met easily. Pool, cocktails, food, relaxation. Not sure why others have given a lower review. Staff are lovely and polite. If anything the staff may not understand exactly what you are saying, but hey youre in another country and they are doing their best to understand you. Rephrase it, try again and embrace it! Food is fine, lots of options...some western options may not live up to westerners expectations...but why are you eating that anyway? Youre in another country! Great place, a paradise on earth. You can choose on the spot the places you want to visit and this in French, English, etc .... The owner speaks French very well because it is original Liège. "I can't begin to express how incredibly gracious the manager and staff are and how hard they worked to make sure our stay was nothing short of magical. Do yourself a favor and add this to your itinerary if exploring Northern India. We went to Jaipur right after by car and driver. So this was definitely doable, even if just for one night. Be sure to get cash out before you arrive and come hungry. The chef is fantastic. They have a bar and a beautiful pool on the property as well. Safe travels! Food is amazing! It's a degustation menu with a lot of plates, each one more exquisitly prepared than the other. Particularly the roasted caramelized pork was unbeatable! The place is beatiful and service quite good. The wine options had good wines for reasonable prices. And the cost: 31 dollar per person! Unbelievable! DO NOT MISS IT !
