"Wow Borneo’s trip on their comfortable boat for three nights and four days gave us a real insight into Borneo, it’s jungle and wildlife. On spotting our first orang-utan we thought we were in luck but then to find 7 in a group was wildly beyond our dreams with them even coming to the waters edge for a closer inspection of us. A tree full of hornbills and 2 Proboscis Monkeys completed the talley for the day. On the last morning we were taken to a village only accessible by boat to be greeted by the Elder, Pak and a welcoming ceremony with children learning the ancient ritual. Pak took us to the jungle to see trees and spices growing, explaining their medicinal properties and the need to protect the jungle. We need more Paks to safeguard the forests and environment of Borneo. On the boat we were lucky to be the only guests and the staff looked after use beautifully. Meals were all freshly cooked using local delicacies and our guide was attentive throughout. The cabins are perfectly adequate, clean and comfortable. "We stayed just one night at the end of a Mekong Delta tour. Michel organised our pick up, which was a lovely trip in a long boat. We were greeted warmly on arrival and that feeling continued on during our stay. Staff were very friendly, polite and engaging. The rooms were lovely and well appointed, although a small fridge would have been a welcome addition. The food was good, a nice combination of French and Vietnamese and breakfast was delicious. Fresh bread/pastries and fruit and as much of whatever else as we wanted. We went for a walk into the village and got lost on the way back. The locals were very helpful with directions and eventually we called the lodge and they came and fetched us, we were only 300m away!!"Reverie Siam: "Stylish and peaceful resort"
"Thoughtfully landscaped and stylishly decorated this is a lovely place to stay. Not too far out of Pai town (they can provide transport), but far enough that you are not run down by some crazy backpacker learning to drive a motorbike. The restaurant food is delicious, especially the a la carte breakfast. (no fighting for the buffet). Khun Dee (the maître d) and staff are most welcoming. They have live music in the restaurant and at the bar beside the river. Altogether a relaxing treat."Tandjung Sari: "Traditional Bali"
"We had been recommended Tandjung Sari by friends and were not disappointed. This resort has prime position on the beach at Sanur in Bali. The restaurant and bar look out over the beach and are a perfect way to start the day and a fun place to people watch. (...) Every one is very friendly and helpful and made our stay so comfortable. The hotel made up a beautiful flower arrangement for my birthday which was special. The food at the restaurant is top quality and the breakfasts are delicious- especially the croissants. "Ich kann nur sagen: perfekt! Ich wüsste nicht, was ich an diesem Hotel bemängeln sollte. Schon die Anreise im kleinen Boot inkl. Einbein-Ruderer ist ein Erlebnis. Die Lage des Hotels am Ufer des Sees ist ein Traum und der Anblick vom See aus gibt einen Vorgeschmack auf das, was einen erwartet. Nette, freundliche Begrüßung in der offenen Lobby. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen, sehr großen Bungalow, der mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet war. Die üppige Terrasse mit Liegestühlen am Teich mit Lotusblumen lädt zum Entspannen ein. Ich kann jedem nur empfehlen, hier nicht nur eine Nacht im Rahmen einer Rundreise zu verbringen sondern mindestens 3 Tage zu bleiben, um diesen wunderschönen Platz auch genießen zu können. Tipp: Zum Hotel gehört noch ein sehr gutes Restaurant mit Ausbildungseinrichtung mitten im Inle See. Leider nur mit dem Boot erreichbar."Reverie Siam: "Wonderful Boutique Hotel"
"Stayed here for 4 nights, second floor mountain view. two swimming pools beautiful gardens wonderful FnB... the 3 hour drive from Chiang Mai was magical... like arriving in Shangri La They had two wonderful musicians playing in the lounge when we had our evening cocktails. Such attention to detail in the design. Somebody has paid an awful lot of attention to this resort, I only wish I could have met the manager to thank him in person. No exaggeration to say one of the best hotels we have stayed in. The breakfast was fantastic, the cappuccino cinnamon toast was the best in the world. Cannot recommend highly enough Top Tip... grab a beer and head down to the gazebo by the river with your book and just chill out! Don't rely on Google Maps to get you here... it directs to through town to the other side of the river... the hotel is 1km down the street next to the police station"Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Excellent experience"
Overall it's a very wonderful experience. The vintage look, traditional music playing in the room, Nyonya snacks, breakfast and the service deserve good reputation. I will definitely visit it again in my next tri to Penang.Slow Villas and Spa: "The best hotel experience ever!"
"This is a perfect place for those who are looking for privacy and piece. The villas are very nice decorated, rustic and chic at the same time. Some nice details makes a big difference: the soap is hand made, very nice hand messages around, map full of handwriting messages and recommendations, the baby cot is made of bamboo. They have bikes available to ride around the island, the breakfast is ordered the day before (and it has options for all tastes) and served in the comfort of your Vila. Julie, the co-owner is a sweetheart herself and all the staff is super nice, always willing to help and in super good mood. We felt treated like a family. The only issue was having to log in all the time to the Internet, but when done, it worked quite well. They didn't have a coffee machine when we were there, but it was already ordered. I really enjoyed the tour in central Borneo with Gayle of WOW Borneo. We traveled by boat on a large river and toured lakes off the river by canoe. We saw orangutans and monkeys butterflies and unique plants. We traveled to remote lakes tea stained from the ancient forest in the late afternoon the reflections were breathtaking. The food was delicious and accommodation very adequate and clean for being in such a remote place. We toured villages that did not have tourists visit on a regular basis and were welcomed with the biggest smiles. The tour was 5 days and we covered a lot of ground a great experience for the adventure seeker attempting to be Behr Grils.Glenburn Tea Estate: "Wonderful and timeless"
