Reverie Siam Pai: "Impeccable service with Kind thoughts from Management"
"The location is situated with quiet surrounding beside the river with a brilliant idea to have a pouch with lots of cushions to rest and wild away your time. The rooms are very clean and concept is cleverly designed with lots of space. Bed is high up and very comfortable get to the town, there are shuttle buggies service so convenient for guests. Breakfast is very good except its should have more varieties like local food instead of western menu.Staffs have provided impeccable service and knows what you want most of the time and always ready to provide a service. But the most most impressive and remarkable intiative that the hotel have provided is their kind thoughts and consideration for the the guests. I have a very unfortunate bike accident coming up to Pai with my wife and this is the first time I do this and unfamiliar with the poor condition of the dangerous and 762 curves. The first thing I checked in at this hotel, the staff at reception asked me whether i need to go to the hospital and will provide transport anytime to my convenienences. My wife and me were so miserable as our holidays was ruined by my stupidity act of this accident and left us unable to ride and go to place of interests. Our low morals is lightened up when the hotel reception staff told us that the Management is willing to provide us a one day tour of places of interest that we wish to go. Such kind thoughts from the management have sincerely touch of heart and we are so lucky in this way that we have no regrets chose to stay in this hotel. My Wife and I wishes the Management and all staff good health and prosperity."Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "a Charming and nostalgic elegant retreat in Penang"
"This is my 3rd stay at Cheong Fatt Tze in 10 years Not only the building is beautifully restored and maintained, but a lot of efforts have been put to improve comfort in the rooms (new refurbished) and facilities (new garden and pool , new bar...) The Manager Daniel has done a great job with him team for attention to service and friendliness Impressive improvements. congratulations to all... We will be back!"Reverie Siam: "4th visit"
Would you go a 4th time to a hotel which you don't like? Certainly not. The Reverie Siam Resort in Pai is our preferred place to go if we don't want to spend more than 2 hours in the car from our domicile in Chiang Mai. The winding road has just been renovated and is a pleasure to drive now. In the hotel, the rooms, in particular the villas are great, and so are the 2 pools. The almost historic restaurant is a "must see experience", the food is Western but great, the wine list large and the staff very friendly and attentive. And for what if offers, the prices are fair, and on occasion of our 4th visit we even got a 35 % discount. The only downside this time was that we booked our preferred table for a big birthday, which was confirmed in the booking confirmation as well as upon check-in. When we came to the restaurant in the evening, however, "our" table was given away. It is obvious that the communication between reception and restaurant manager didn't work, at least not this time. The 35 % discount was possible a fair compensation for this mishap. But no reason for us not to come back again and again.Maison Polanka: "A laid-back, leafy oasis"
We had the great fortune to follow the excellent reviews of Maison Polanka on these pages and booked to stay four nights in the Khmer House from June into July. The standalone house was wonderful, though as others have noted the staff, the food and the garden and pool area were the real highlights after a hot day looking at Siem Reap's famous temples. It does feel like you are staying with friends rather than a hotel. Would highlight the quality of the food; the package we booked provided two set course dinners - so good that while we did eat at restaurants in the town on our last night chose to have another set course dinner with the gardens and staff to ourselves. Highly recommended slice of life outside a big 5 star hotel.NEELESHWAR: "Heavenly peace!"
"Everything about the Hermitage was wonderful - the room, the bed, the pillows, the care taken to make sure everything was perfect, the food, the off site activities offered ( alt bought these were expensive) Forewarned, we had pre- ordered full board to avoid a large bill at the end so that worked out well. Highlight was a trip to the jungle to see a Theyam ceremony. Unforgettable! The sea was like a warm bath, the food and company and the pool were all excellent. One recommendation though - mosquito burners in the spa reception area. Can't wait to return - think about it every day! "Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Paradise"
I spent few days in Golden Buddha in December 2014 and I plan to come back there soon. Here I discovered yoga and I was very motivated by excellent yoga teacher - Alex. Until today I practice yoga at home and at work. Golden Buddha is perfect place to relax. The staff is very friendly and surrounding nature is just amazing. The Island Lodge: "A piece of paradise along the Mekong river"
"This is the kind of place which seems to lift you to another plane of existence while you are there. The utter comfort, the calm, the wonderful food, the great service and unique surroundings come together to propel one to a new height. It is evident that the French couple -with Vietnamese roots -who run the place pay extreme attention to detail and quality in all aspects. With a limit at about 25 guests in all, the residence's spacious area facing the Mekong is suffused with a warm and personal atmosphere from an excellent staff. Time stands still and the soul bathes as much as the body does."The Village House: "Gorgeous little place"
"I really LOVED it here. It's no 5 star Marriott or anything... But the staff are super hospitable, accomodation very clean and comfortable. The pool and relaxing areas are great and the food is good-okay. Around the accomodation, there is not very much to do. You cannot swim at the beach located 100m down the street as there may be crocodiles. Apparently the sunset is nice from there though. I stayed in a six person dorm for 123 RM, but it's cheaper on the Agoda website I've been told. This is a great place to relax, swim (the pool is GREAT!), read and relax. Stayed January 2017"The Village House: "Super!"
Me and my wife stayed there for 3 days, the first days of our honeymoon. It was one of the best accommodation of our Malaysian trip, it was super! Very relaxing and quiet! The staff was very helpful and the food is very good. The room is simple but very cool and romantic, the bath clean and... most of all you're in the jungle We recommend it! ;-)Villa Mathis: "Quelle sérénité"
For our first time in Bali, we chose to stay at La Villa Mathis. We loved this haven. This hotel is a beautiful concept, atypical bedrooms in small independent corners with 4 pools in total! You feel free to move in the middle of this very restful greenery, to swim where you want. Everything is well thought out, very nice decor throughout the hotel, plus personal pampering and smiling throughout the day! What happiness! We will not hesitate to return and reside also in Ubud. We go to lunch at Mathis Retreat during our day in Ubud and it is also a delight. What serenity !!
