Glenburn Tea Estate: "Mrs"

Review by: EmilyB-N | Source: Trip Advisor
"Our adventure was with our two best friends & our four children. Be prepared for a bumpy ride to get to Glenburn but once you make it, it's like your very own piece of Eden! The bedrooms are exquisitely decorated with beautiful Indian material & very comfortable all with electric blankets & glorious white cotton sheets. We stayed in the Planters suite which boasts a huge four-poster bed as well as a single bed for our 3 year old daughter & Glenburn provided a travel cot for our younger daughter. We were all very comfortable & warm during our 3 night stay. The staff are exceptional & will stop at nothing to help make your stay the best it can be. They are charming & polite & were fantastic with our children. We even managed a child free day when we did the 2 hour walk to the river & stayed for a leisurely lunch while the children were looked after by the team. On our return they were all happily exhausted from a day of outside playing & two very content couples had a peaceful night! The food is utterly delicious, with lots of it grown from the beautifully kept Glenburn garden - I definitely put on weight over my 3 night stay! One of Glenburns other charms is being able to enjoy a delectable 3 course dinner in the lovely dining room in the company of the other guests who are from all over the world. It is so interesting sharing travelling stories & hearing others different experiences. All in all I cannot rate Glenburn more highly & hope very much that I will return again. Many thanks to you all at Glenburn for making our stay such a happy one - we all loved it!"

maisons war kor: "“Fabulous stay”"

"Although a little further away from Battambang (around 2km) than other hotels, the beautiful surroundings, well-appointed rooms and excellent food are well worth it. The staff are lovely and extremely helpful. We were there to celebrate a 60th birthday and they arranged dessert with candles and sang happy birthday! We had a great tour of all the sights around Battambang with Mr Dan the tuk tuk driver, arranged by the hotel. Also, we had a cookery class in the restaurant just for two of us which was a great experience. Thank you for a brilliant stay."

Inle Princess Resort: "Peaceful, a world apart"

"The fact that the long tail boats with their load motors are not allowed up to the hotel is the first idea one gets that this place places importancce on the wellbeing of its visitors. About 500 yards away, a one legged rower steps on board from a boathouse to bring us to the jetty. Here we were met with an ice cooled towel and drink. Our bungalow was stunning, the bathroom huge, actually it was three rooms, a large one with two washbasins leading to a room with a bath looking out into a small walled garden in which there was a blissful outdoor shower. I enjoyed this so much that I showered twice a day during our stay.In the room they had thought of everything, including binoculars and a bird watching book. The mini bar was stocked with complimentary soft drinks, alcoholic ones were of course not included. Supper was superb, one more of less 'has' to eat here as one cannot get away but the standard of the kitchen is fantastic. I had divine butter fish steamed in ginger which could not have been more delicious and my brother had green Thai curry. We sat outside and there were blankets for when it got chilly. Breakfast was just as good, everything imgainable was on offer and the banana cake was so morish that I asked for the recipe which was given to me. We also took advantage of the beautiful Spa which was excellent. The staff were without exception friendly and helpful and on our last night we found a package with the typical shoulder bag of the area in it and a note thanking us for staying. This place was an oasis of calm, the concept is perfect. Stayed February 2017, traveled with family"

NOEL RODRIGO’S LEOPARD SAFARIS: "Memorable and fun packed 2 day safari in Wilpattu"

Review by: ExplorersUnlimited | Source: tripadvisor.com
"We had high hopes for the 2 day safari, and were not disappointed! Pila was our naturalist host and he drove the jeep and hosted us throughout the safari. He is a knowledgable and experienced guide, very committed to providing a wonderfully memorable and diverse experience. We saw many varieties of birds, mammals and reptiles, often thanks to Pila's sharp and expert eyes. He was happy to provide as much information as we wanted, and carried a selection of reference books on the jeep to add background information to what we were seeing. The highlight was seeing 2 leopards, one up close and magnificent! But we were also delighted by the mongooses, deer, mugger crocs, jackals, painted storks, eagles, brown fish owl, langurs, monitors, turtles, woolly neck storks, adjutants, kingfishers, bee eaters, and many other stars. Pila also educated us about the flora and especially species unique to the area. We observed other professional park guides greeting Pila with respect and deference and realised we were fortunate to be with one of the best. The campsite was in a very natural setting. We had the impression it was actually within Wilpattu National Park, which isn't the case. It's about 15 minutes drive to the entrance. However there were only short queues and the campsite location was fairly peaceful and very beautiful, with plenty of natural sights and sounds. The cook and team produced delicious and beautifully presented food, and all manner of lovely small touches. Cold towels on arrival and each return from game drives, a small library of reference books, torches, campfire, refreshing King coconut water, warm showers on request, solar powered lights in the tent, gorgeous fresh fruit, 4 course meals with plenty to go around. Our first night was on a full moon night, Poya celebration for Buddhists. It was very special to be served a wonderful moonlit dinner in this amazing setting. The second day we were joined by 2 delightful New Zealanders and their Sri Lankan friend, who were great company on the game drives and during our lovely meals, which also added to the magical and memorable experience. Nam Bo Boutique Hotel: "Great Place"

Review by: Oportos | Source: Trip Advisor
What a great surprise this little boutique hotel. All staff absolutely polite and very kind. The Restaurant at the top of the building is a great place to enjoy sunset with a beautiful view of the river just in front of you . Our suite was very spacious with all the amenities available at the bathroom and a unexpected plate of fresh fruits was awaiting for us at the suite. We were offered the suite with a large balcony and seeing the night life of the city from the balcony was an unforgettable experience. Strongly recommend the Nam Bo which is a delicious place to stay at Can Tho

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Book in advance"

Review by: gorpalm | Source: Trip Advisor
My annual visit to Siem Reap is not complete without coming here - Brilliant concept, always faithfully and energetically executed. The two tasting menus are always well thought out and balanced between sweet, sour, savoury, and spicy. An elegant and exciting way to be introduced to the flavours and ingredients of the region within the western template of a tasting menu, at frankly a brilliant price. During high season they book out so do book even before you fly, rather than when you get into town. Oh and they make a mean cocktail too :-)

The Twelve Hotel: "Excellent stay"

Review by: dominique t | Source: Trip Advisor
This is a place not to miss in Bangkok, in the city and at the same time in a very quiet area. Home both discreet and friendly availability of the owners to advise addresses, tours, hearty breakfast. We stayed for 3 very comfortable nights in rooms with XXL size, tastefully decorated. Wonderful!
