The River Resort: "Peaceful Retreat facing the Mekong"

Review by: Asiadvisor001 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Only 30mn from Pakse airport... right on the Mekong with a small island in the river in front of the resort. Huge land with trees, their own rice fields and gardens all around. It's a refill of oxygen to stay there. Excellent staff and friendly service under the supervision of Ton, the GM. I recommend to wake up early and admire the sunrise on the mekong from your balcony. Great restaurant also, with very generous portions Definitely recommended for people looking for a quiet and green environment and who enjoying activities in nature: walks, bike, boat trips..."

Sukoon Houseboat: "paradise"

Review by: MeghaMawandia | Source: tripadvisor.com
There are passages written about the houseboats of Kashmir, and yet nothing prepared us for the quaintness of this houseboat. Luxurious to a fault each room has a full size bath tup as well as a shower stall. Living like royalty, the staff is the best I have encountered in my travels and the location perfect. An escape in the truest sense with the water gently bobbing the boat and lilies peeping out of their leaves to greet the day. An honest treat and the best way to cap our Kashmiri experience.

Villa Song Saigon: "Amazing boutique hotel"

Review by: Janssen123 | Source: Trip Advisor
An amazing boutique hotel besides the Saigon river. Normal rooms are a little small but the suites are amazing. My spouse and I stayed in a suite with balcony and we truely loved it. Everything is just great. All staff are most pleasant and Freddie at the terrace restaurant made sure we were well taken care of. For my birthday, flowers with a personal card was delivered to our suite; how attentive!. A private boat takes you from the hotel to the city (district 1) and at specified times, the boat will bring you back. We stayed 4 nights at this wonderful hotel and we enjoyed every minute of it!

Satri House: "Perfect. bliss"

Review by: taifun69 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Nothing to add really to the other reviewers. This place is splendid with style and characters, quiet because a bit away from the main road. Will absolutely return. Would only say that breakfast service is a bit difficult - you have to order piecemeal (or anyway, that's what our waitress did). Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "a superb hotel – with great attention to detail and outstanding service"

Review by: paulConran | Source: Trip Advisor
"We have been to India many times and have been fortunate to stay in many wonderful hotels. But by any comparison, the Neeleshwar Hermitage stands out as among the best for its perfect combination of outstanding service, food, location and attention to detail. Rarely do even the best hotels in the world get all of these right, every day. Our main interest is in seeing and experiencing everyday life in India. For us, one of the attractions of Neeleshwar Hermitage is that there is a lot to see locally and it’s easy, with the help of the hotel, to get about. We found the manager immediately understood what we wanted to do, and was very helpful with the ideas and arrangements to enable us to make the most of our 6 day stay. You don’t have to go anywhere of course, and when it is hot and the skies blue (as it was when we were there) it is tempting to head to the pool and stay there. It is a beautiful pool. It’s also very well situated, overlooking a long, wide sandy beach that is also used a lot by the local villagers. The design and materials throughout contribute a lot to the feeling of a very relaxing, comfortable place to stay. And it is extremely well thought through, to maintain that special ambience. The tables in the main restaurant, for example, are fixed in position, each with their own ceiling fan directly overhead, and there is a lot of space between them. This means you feel like you have a lot of space and privacy, and makes it feel very peaceful. The tables are similarly well placed a good distance apart in the excellent seafood restaurant by the beach. Juices, beers and local wine are all readily available wherever you are but there is no formal bar, either by the pool or in the main lounge area, which again helps to keep things quieter than it can be in some places. Smoking is not allowed anywhere, indoors or out. All of these elements are important, but it’s even better: we found the service, without exception, to be outstanding. Every single person got it exactly right. They also work very well together. It may be an informal beach hotel, but there is great attention to detail. This is not a hotel that is particularly easy to get to. We flew from Mumbai to Mangalore, and from there it is about a 2 1/2 hour drive. But if you like India, and don’t mind some dusty, bumpy roads, there is always a lot to see on the way. The Neeleshwar Hermitage seems to attract people who are looking for peaceful surroundings. Only as we were leaving did we see one very demonstrative guest, who had just arrived, waving a mobile phone by the pool. The rest was a beautiful silence, in what must be one of the best hotels in southern India."

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Beautiful & Relaxing"

Review by: Chris_K1200 | Source: Trip Advisor
My new Wife and I visited Neeleshwar Hermitage on one of the last legs of our honeymoon (November 2014). After a hectic few weeks our stay here was much needed! On arrival we were greeted by such friendly staff who throughout our stay were always very helpful and saw to our every need. I honestly can't fault the service. The whole resort is very beautiful and tranquil and the accommodation was amazing. We absolutely loved the bathroom! :D The restaurant was wonderful and so was the food! We really loved our time there and would certainly stay there again. To top it off they send me a birthday card every year. I received the latest one in the post today! Thank you to all at Neeleshwar Hermitage for making our stay and our honeymoon perfect. Chris & Lori.

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "A night to remember <3 <3 <3"

Review by: joanna carla m | Source: tripadvisor.com
"I stayed at 4 rivers three weeks ago but I can still remember how amazing the place is.  It was a long drive but when you reached the 4th bridge which the reception is located you will be amazed by the surroundings . I'm typically not a nature lover but when the boat started to pass by the river surrounded by mountains it took my breath away :D When I arrived at the resort the staff and crew gave me a very warm welcome . The resort facilities are outstanding .You’ll get the chance to use the kayak and fishing rod for free. also love the library which has a good collection of books and even board games for kids and kids at heart . The manager (Adonis) is so approachable and very kind not only to the guest but also to his staff. 4 RIVERS is the PERFECT PLACE to unwind and be with nature :D Looking forward on coming back there sooonnnnnnn!!! :D"

The Twelve Hotel: "Out of the ordinary"

Review by: Lisa S | Source: Trip Advisor
Very unusual and stylish hotel. Rarely have we stayed in a hotel that was both so clean and comfortable and at the same time had so much charm. Room incredibly beautiful, breakfast very good, all very friendly there. The Twelve Hotel will remain in our memories and we definitely would choose again to stay there when we are in Bangkok. For us, absolutely perfect!

Samuay & Sons: "Great and unexpected gem"

Review by: onefallen | Source: Trip Advisor
"I'm really glad that we stopped in here to get some food. The food is phenomenal, and the preparation and presentation is quite unique. It's a different take on Thai food, and the folks who work there had time to talk to us, and give us an education on how they source the food, from farm-to-table, and have relationships with actual farmers. The head chef even brought us different types of brown rice to show differences. I enjoyed their take on Tom Yam. I think one of the wonderful things they understand is that food IS medicine and it can heal you. I also like that they travel quite a bit, so they have a sophisticated palate, and introduce you to food you've already had, and make it in a new, and creative way. The dessert was also great. It wasn't overwhelming, like it sometimes can be. I ended up taking a lot of photos because they have some of the best presentation around. Thank you, Samuay & Sons!!!!"
