The River Resort: "Peaceful Retreat facing the Mekong"

Review by: Asiadvisor001 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Only 30mn from Pakse airport... right on the Mekong with a small island in the river in front of the resort. Huge land with trees, their own rice fields and gardens all around. It's a refill of oxygen to stay there. Excellent staff and friendly service under the supervision of Ton, the GM. I recommend to wake up early and admire the sunrise on the mekong from your balcony. Great restaurant also, with very generous portions Definitely recommended for people looking for a quiet and green environment and who enjoying activities in nature: walks, bike, boat trips..."

Rachamankha: "Beautiful boutique hotel"

Review by: Randi F | Source: Trip Advisor
An oasis in Chiang Mai. Amid the noisy traffic Rachamankha feels secluded. It’s a small property with personal attention. We accidentally booked two nights separately and then discovered that they were different types of rooms, with the second night being an upgrade from the first. The staff seamlessly moved our luggage to the second room. The thing is, I like both rooms equally. While the second has an absolutely fabulous bed, the first had a much larger shower with enough water pressure to feel like I was being power washed. The second has a sofa but the first had plenty of space to move around and organize our belongings. We stay here again on our last night of the vacation and I don’t know which type of room I booked, nor do I care. I will be pleased regardless.

Villa Song Saigon: "Magnificent hotel and fantastic staff"

Review by: amyandm0 | Source: Trip Advisor
Villa Song really is an impressive hotel, set in pristine grounds on the banks of the Saigon River in District 2. My family and I had the most divine stay, which coincided with both of my parents' birthdays. In addition to the accommodating staff who were considerate of my family's needs, my parents were treated like royalty and were each presented with a beautiful bunch of flowers and a cake at breakfast. The rooms were fabulous and plush, the free mini bar was a really nice touch. We took the extremely convenient shuttle speed boat to the centre of town along the Saigon River and we also enjoyed an afternoon relaxing by the pool in luxury. Highly recommended place to stay, thank you so much to Ms. Thuy and all the staff for helping to make our stay so memorable.

Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Magical stay"

Review by: Mariken v | Source: Trip Advisor
"We spent 2 nights at Tiger Mountain but it could have been much more. Superb stay from our first pick up and welcome to our goodbye. From Pokhara it is about 40 min drive up the mountain on a typical Nepali road but then you arrive in an tranquil oasis where you will only hear the birds. Lodge is located on a mountain with sweeping views over Pokhara valley on both sides. Rooms have amazing views towards the Himalayas, perfect for sunrise watching (they will serve coffee/tea and cookies at about 5.30 in your room to accompany the sunrise) Upon our arrival, the lunch table was set on the terrace with a view to the Himalayas and we were served delicious Nepali dishes. Tea was served in the afternoon with home made snacks. Followed by happy hour at 6 and diner around 7.30. Again with delicious Nepali dishes. Had amazing jackfruit curry, some sort of stir fried ferns, spinach dish, home made chutneys, water buffalo curries. I think I would have exploded after a week at the lodge as I had to finish everything. Quality of the food is fantastic, all organic, grown in the area, fresh and everything home made. Even the herbal tea came from their own garden. In the morning there was home made yoghurt with homemade muesli, homemade jams & preserves, honey from Pokhara, homemade bread. Yummy. The lodge offers guides to take you for walks according to your liking. We did a village walk around the hotel and the next day a ridge walk where we had beautiful views over the rice terraces, villages and Himalayas. The guide took us through villages and explained about village life. Staff at the lodge is fantastic: friendly, helpful and offering great service. There is a swimming pool with again magical views, certainly in the early morning you can see the Himalayas reflected in the water. It is a shame it is so far away from Hong Kong otherwise I would be back for a relaxing long weekend. And there is only wifi in the lobby (if it is working, this is Nepal) so relaxing is really good as you can't connect to the outside world! Show less Room Tip: Room 11, a triple room, at the end of the resort with uninterrupted views. Room 10, double room, abo... Stayed: April 2017, traveled with family"

The Village House: "Your own little village"

Review by: Kosmosis707 | Source: Trip Advisor
"I loved our stay at the Village House! First, just to make it clear, the Village House is NOT in the actual city of Kuching. It’s in Santubong Village, which I believe was about a 30 minute cab ride from Kuching. I didn’t experience much of Kuching, but I can tell you that being outside of the city felt very nice to my girlfriend and I. As we arrived during low season, my girlfriend and I had this wonderful little place virtually to ourselves. The rooms are not large and somewhat basic, but they were still comfortable. If you are a late starter or like to lounge in your room during the day, the rooms do get quite hot. A better option is to read, work, or internet surf by the pool and take an occasional dip to keep cool. The pool….beautiful. It’s not huge so I am unsure what it is like in high season, but my girlfriend and I shared some wonderful experiences there, including taking a swim during a tropical rainstorm. The design of the property is wonderful and it really does give you a feel that you are in your own village. It is well maintained and cared after by the staff. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, even for my sometimes demanding partner…oi! But I digress…they always did a nice job arranging transportation. We actually arrived when the governor of Sarawak had passed away so several companies stopped running in acknowledgment of the passing. This left us stranded on one excursion. But the staff stopped what they were doing and provided us transportation themselves. That was very kind and we were very grateful. Activities are not too far away. As a matter of fact, for some you are much closer than you would be in Kuching, like the Sarawak Cultural Village, Kuching Wetland National Park, Mt. Santubong, and the AMAZING Bako National Park. I highly recommend the Village House for your stay, especially if you are looking for a peaceful little haven. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"

satrin house: "Beautiful quiet hotel"

Review by: wards885 | Source: tripadvison.com
"Our plane arrival was two hours late and Satri House was there to pick us up on arrival. The service was kind, friendly, and gracious throughout our stay. Navi, the guest services manager was present to offer dining suggestions and answer any questions we might have. All of the staff were excellent. The hotel is arranged in beautiful gardens and pools around a Lao prince's residence. The furnishings and interiors are antiques and one of a kind art pieces. It is almost like staying in an art museum. The impressions are fantastic. The food in the dining room was excellent. We had dinner twice and breakfast every morning. It is good value for money. We used the hotel bicycles to go sight seeing which was fun. It was overall a wonderful experience. We stayed in room 622 which was large, artfully arranged, and quiet, with both air conditioning and a ceiling fan which we loved. "

Villa Song Saigon: "Excellent Stay"

Review by: gauravsethi78 | Source: Trip Advisor
Beautiful property, very hospitable staff, outstanding views, thoughtful service, good facilities and food. And a great spa. Just what a hotel should be but very few achieve. Worth coming to Saigon if only to check in here. The manager is a guest's delight. Thank you.

Sea Dance Resort: "Quiet Oasis with 5 star service"

Review by: Starz C | Source: Trip Advisor
A Gem of the island nestled in the Choeng Mon area of Koh Samui with stylish accommodation and excellent friendly customer service. The bungalows are set within well designed, maintained and manicured tropical gardens with a beautiful pool and their signature restaurant 'Sea Salt' serving mouth watering thai dishes beside a secluded almost private beach with some great snorkelling amongst the corals just offshore.

Supanniga Eating Room: "FANTASTIC THAI FOOD"

Review by: llessurtx | Source: Trip Advisor
Found this gem just a few hundred feet from our hotel! From the Mekong cocktails to the deserts and everything in between... AMAZING! Flavors that will knock your socks off! Curry with mussels and pineapple... Crispy fish fried rice... Mushroom salad... Pad Thai with crab! Can't wait to come back!

Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Lovely"

Review by: stephan j | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is our second visit to Golden Buddha, the first was 4 years. I would say that many things have improved since then, First and foremost, the new manager, Massi, is truly wonderful - what a change! The restaurant have been rebuilt and now looks more smart, a new shop has been added and a pizza bar near the beach has been built. The staff is extremely friendly and smiley - many thanks to Nin, who works at the restaurant - she is a gem. The massages, we had one every day for 11 days are great too. We loved the food, but I think guests would welcome a slightly wider selection of dishes. The villas are truly well kept and very comfortable - I would recommend staying in a beachfront one and away from the restaurant. You also may want to check how close your particular cottage is to the neighbouring one. the island, with its long, deserted beaches is unique. the fact that there are truly just 3 resorts, of which Golden Buddha is the smartest, remains a big plus to us. There are a couple of things we were not too keen on. I should say that we decided to return to Golden Buddha to relax, enjoy the peace and quietness and pick up yoga again. Since our last visit the resort seems to have become popular with families with young children. Whilst some kids were well behaved, others where not and it made dinner and breakfast at the clubhouse less enjoyable that it might have been. The biggest disappointment were the yoga classes. Alex, the so called teaches ranted at each lesson about, what he called, new age yoga. Basically everything but the pure original yoga. He therefore stated that he was tracking Indian gymnastic instead. What was most annoying was his lack of interest and the fact that he did not want to correct people, hence, in my view, did not teach at all. Lastly, prices for food and massages were a tini bit high I thought and I would recommend that the resort buys lounge chairs for all its guests. In any case, I would still highly recommend Golden Buddha,. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"
