Supanniga Eating Room: "Yummy food at reasonable prices"
We greatly enjoyed our dinner at Supanniga. Very tasty and interesting dishes in authentic Thai style. Friendly service. Comfortable seating although the restaurant was packed and busy. Not ostentatious, just really good food at reasonable prices.Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Beautiful food, good service, nice setting"
"We went for dinner, arriving just after opening time, with no reservation. We were lucky and got a table, but virtually all the other tables were reserved! The setting was simple but very comfortable. The service was excellent. We were very impressed by each of the dishes which had strong Thai flavors fused with Western themes. There was an excellent wine list at reasonable prices. An excellent restaurant."Villa Mathis: "magnifique établissement"
our last hotel in Bali. We ask reception for a quiet room and the hotel manager tied indicates that we can choose our room as we are the only customers. QUIET in effet..Superbe establishment run by a French garden and épouse.Magnifique Okay entretenu.La room is very large and includes dressing room, indoor and outdoor bathroom plus a large terasse.l'hotel has 4 swimming pools one at the foot of the villa .Very good stayTugu Lombok: "It’s like heaven on earth"
"The room is delightful, the service is excellent, the atmosphere is like heaven, and the view is stunning.. We really enjoyed the visit, we stayed in Bhagavad Gita Room with personal pool and spacious bed. All over the hotel has beautiful antique furniture, sculpture, paintings, etc. That makes the hotel very unique and exquisite. The food is quite expensive for local tourists but reasonable for those who come from stronger currencies. We plan to come back for longer stay :)"Sanak Retreat Bali: "Stunning view, great boutique resort, overpriced restaurant, great villas."
"Sanak retreat is an wonderful butique hotel. Stunningly beautiful situated in the rice field with an amazing view. The style of the hotel is balinese with a touch of the ""shabby chick"". Most of the villas have two floors. The bottom floor is completely dark and private with plants all around and the top floor is full of light, has a splendid view, windows all around and two porches. So make a deal with your kids before you arrive! No one wants the bottom floor! The resort truly appreciates its surroundings and don't play music, which we highly appreciate!! The restaurant have an equally stunning view, the pool is beautiful with sun beds and rice fields. There were almost no mosquitos when we were there, so you could enjoy all of your evening on the porch. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was fresh and great. They do a great childrens massage in the spa. Climate is wonderful up here. Even a bit chilly in the morning! We also had a 3-hour guided tour to the nearby rice fields and a water fall arranged by the hotel. The guide was absolutely great. Spoke good english and we learned so much about Bali. It was one of our best activities on our trip. We also did a jungle trek and canoo trip on a lake also arranged by the hotel. Also recommendable. So are there any downsides of this pearl of a resort? The restaurant prices were the most expensive we encounted in all of Bali and Gili Trawangan. They charge 35.000 rupiah for a Soft drink/ Coca Cola. You really can't go anywhere nearby to eat or shop and they know it. A little bit unsympathetic to exploit this to that degree. We just came from Pemuteran where the beach front restaurant charged 10.000 rupiahs for the same. Prices were generally the double or even more on comparable food items, e.g. Nasi Goreng, Mie Goreng, Mixed skewers... Some travel agencies praise their food. We think it was okay, but not more than that. We ate all our meals here for 3 days. They have a childrens menu, but portions are so small that an 8 year old have to order two dishes to be full, so nothing saved there. A pizza is the size of a side plate. Generally the portions are small. We had no hot water for almost our entire stay. They sure tried to fix it but with no succes for more than 3 minutes. Toilets can't take paper, so you are asked to dispose it in a basket next to the toilet. Urgh! So a few downsides, but I will still recommend this boutique resort to anyone who wants to see the best of Bali. It is beautiful and you will enjoy the view!"4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Wonderful location, and purpose to build eco tourism in Cambodia"
Gorgeous location, and the resort working with local villages to support a sustainable economy and environment we were impressed with. The waterfall close by is lovely and being able to kayak and paddle off your tent deck, whenever you want was lovely, peaceful and good sunsets as well. Food was good and the transport both ways was easy, and well organised. The staff were always extremely helpful and cheerful which really added to the experience.Dewakan: "The best restaurant n Malaysia and one of the best in the World"
"Not easy to find, but when you get to this beautiful cosy restaurant, only thing you have to do is ENJOY! I think I had one of the best dinner I ever had... Amazing! So creative, original, tasty, flavored... Chef Darren Deohis a genius! With a great young team around, in the kitchen and also to serve the guests. He prepared us a meal to pare with great Burgundy range, and it was just perfect! All local ingredients, including the best duck I ever had (and I al French, from South West...). This is the place to go (dinner only and not open on Sunday). Don't miss it. For me this may have at least 2 stars in Michelin Guide (3rd star will come with the service)... Just a last word: WOOOOWWWW!"Villa Mathis: "Absolument sublime"
7EME FOIS QUE NOTRE PETIT SÉJOUR A LA VILLA MATHIS NOUS A ENCHANTÉ ( C'est un hôtel absolument sublime)4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Little bit of paradise"
This hotel is one of the most amazing places I've stayed at! Loved everything about it... rooms were spectacularly beautiful, river was scenic and peaceful, so much to do, loved waterfall tour and travelling on the rive by boat, also had a go at fishing for my dinner 😂Slow Villas and Spa: "Amazingly relaxing holiday"
"We stayed one week at Slow Private Pool villas and had the most amazing and relaxing time; just what we needed. The staff went out of there way to help us. Slow has the most helpful and accommodating staff. The Slow Spa is wonderful. Gili Air itself is already a perfect island getaway with a tranquil vibe and Slow Villas only enhances that feeling. Fabulous holiday! We will certainly come back."
