My husband an I came to the beautiful place as a gift from my father in law, as he had stayed here before. We were so pleasantly surprised, the place was fantastic. The room was clean and had relaxing day beds inside and out the front of the cottage we even had out own private hut to relax in. The room was very clean and we felt very comfortable, the shower was outdoors. The best part was the beautiful gardens that surrounded us, the restaurant is on the beach, also the day spa at the hotel is the best I have ever been to. "An exquisite traditional house (hanok) set on a side street off Bukchonro road in the center of the Bukchon neighborhood. Set around a quiet courtyard, there are four beautiful rooms – each different. We had the smallest room, but with it came a dark wood porch jutting out into the courtyard and it was here where we had delicious breakfasts (one morning: mackerel, kimchee, pickles, a delicious seaweed rice porridge and barley tea.) You can also arrange to have a Korean dinner – we had a delicious one of Galbi, lots of small dishes (panchan) and chapchae. To unwind even more there is a small sauna tucked into the hanok – woven mats on the floor and patterns of cherry blossom trees, an excellent way to relax after a long day of exploring. To top it off the host is incredibly sweet, friendly and helpful. Mr. Kim provided with all sorts of ideas and recommendations as we planned our adventures. "Beautiful hotel. The grounds are gorgeous. Service superb. I would splurge on the lake view suite. We spent a lot of time watching the sunsets and seeing the colors change on the water as the sun went down. This is definitely a balcony and view you will use. The restaurant was beautiful as was the bar. My only complaint was that they tried to pass off Tilapia one night as ""sea bass"". No big deal (as this type of slight of hand happens everywhere else), but I thought this clumsy and unnecessary."Babe: "Fun dining"

"We went for dinner, arriving just after opening time, with no reservation. We were lucky and got a table, but virtually all the other tables were reserved! The setting was simple but very comfortable. The service was excellent. We were very impressed by each of the dishes which had strong Thai flavors fused with Western themes. Loved this hotel. The location is great, across the lawn you've got the beach, the pool is lovely, set in a magical garden. The hotel food is fantastic, highly recommend you take a cooking class, I loved it and learnt a lot. Our room was so romantic, the "open air" bathroom was an unique experience, even during monsoon season.
