Maduzi Hotel: "Fantastic"
It is good to know there is a little oasis right in the centre of Bangkok. A great location right at the intersection of the MRT and BTS so travelling around is made easy. The rooms are large and comfortable, especially the beds that provide the best sleep. The staff are all very friendly and helpful that compliments the design and creative art work throughout. Breakfast is a treat with plenty of choices to please the palette. This will be my number one choice for a hotel in Bangkok going forward.Maison Polanka: "On point design boutique"
Charming boutique hotel with fantastic design and grounds. Well located and helpful staff. The restaurant itself was a bit mediocre, but the setting was so special that it didn't matter. The spa was also quite enjoyable. Given the price compared to some of the other design hotels in the area, I would definitely choose Maison Polanka again.Manda De Laos: "beautiful"
What a stunning and romantic setting! We arrived unplanned as we were staying at Satri House close by and just arrived, hungry. The food was very good, but not the best of Luang Prabang. We also found some of the male staff were a little arrogant. However we really enjoyed ourselves with the beautiful setting. I do think this is definitely worth visiting.misool: "DC"
World class diving...the staff was friendly, accommodating, and excited to share any knowledge about marine life or surrounding area. The food was fresh and plentiful while offering a nice variety. Beautiful resort with paddle boards, kayaks, snorkeling, scuba diving, and spa services. Having air condition over the beds at night was comforting and being able to step off your deck to walk, swim or snorkel was lovely. Bring whatever you need with you as this is a remote island. Small refrigerators are in villas. Loved this resort!Maduzi Hotel: "Spacious & wonderful hotel in e midst of a busy city"
This hotel room is huge beyond imagination. I had a free upgrade to corner suite. The mini bar was free. There was a huge bath tub with the water coming down from the ceiling. The width of the bed was about 2 meters and it was super comfortable and soft. Service was great and efficient. Furniture is a little damaged here and there but it is negligible. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "The Last of a Dying Breed"
"They don't make hotels like this anymore. Which is a pity, because a stay at Tiger Mountain is about so much more than just 'physical' luxury. It's enriching - visually, intellectually and emotionally. First things first - it's a fantastic property, perched high up on a mountain overlooking the Pokhara Valley with fantastic views of the Annapurna range. This is eco-luxury at its finest : great views, great service, great food but with minimal environmental impact. The rooms are nice, in a spartan sort of way (no TV, no WiFi, no aircon - not that you need it) with four poster beds, charmingly rustic furniture and a private, sit out balcony. The food is fantastic - among the best you will ever have, whether it's traditional Nepali fare or the more Western dishes that are traditionally served at dinner. But many hotels have great views, great rooms and great food. Tiger Mountain's secret weapon are it's guests and the fact that dinner is a communal meal where all the guests get together over 4 courses and copious amongst of alcohol. Over the course of 3 nights we met a couple who had driven a Land Rover from London to South Africa and who were currently doing relief work in Nepal, a Scotsman who spent a year living in a campervan with him family and his dog, and an ex military attache who also oversaw the recruitment of Gurkhas for the British Army. Simply put, these are things money can't buy. And that's to say nothing of Marcus, the Managing Director of the place who makes it a point to have a drink with every one of his guests and who has a number of remarkable insights and anecdotes about Nepal, India, England and everything in between to share. If you're looking for a traditional luxury hotel with every modern comfort, this property probably isn't for you. But if you're looking for old world charm, delightful dinnertime conversations and a view that just doesn't quit, Tiger Lodge has your number. It may be a bit pricey, but it's Worth Every Penny."Cuca: "Wow!"
A Michelin star must surely be on the way. The food is excellent and served up in a wonderfully playful way (one course came served on a flattened beer bottle!). Impeccable service too.Samanea Beach Resort: "It’s gorgeous place!"
Manager who was very kindly friendly with their guests. The room look like older but seems to be based traditional structure of the local citizen. The outside bathroom is definitely a unique feature. The resort was very silence that you could heard some songs from insects in night time hi hi hi. The beach that where you maybe swim but watch sunrise or sunset then that is a great experience. The long wharves that made me better feeling as on the sea by my foot. The food was so good. There are not many rooms in this resort with their large site, almost of them for tree, swimming pool. With kindly noted, the resort must control better against mosquito. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay.Tugu Bali: "Fantastic!"
"Left a review on the other entry for this hotel...but again, can't speak highly enough!!!! Most comfortable room and bed we have been in on our month long trip to Bali. The staff was lovely and accommodating and we were delighted by the facilities. Must visit if you are in Canggu!!!"Villa Song Saigon: "Calm oasis"
"This hotel is a calm oasis away from the bustle of the busy city with its thousands of motor cyclists. Friendly helpful staff, a stunning building and a refreshing clean swimming pool, with delicious food (local and international) served in the garden by the river. We liked the tablet computer photos (brought to the table) of the food so we could see before we ordered - a nice touch. Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"
