The Village House: "Relaxing and Beautiful, Great Food and Friendly Staff"

Review by: Janice A | Source: Trip Advisor
Our experience at Village House was excellent. The guesthouse has been carefully planned and attention paid to every detail. It is very beautiful and comfortable. The food here was way above expectations - delicious and fresh and a great mix of local as well as western food. Surprisingly they had a very good selection of wines. We did try the Pina Colodas by Miss Flora (we had read about them on Trip Advisor) and yes, she does a great job! But the highlight of the trip was the sweet and accomodating staff. They did everything possible to make our stay as relaxing and stress free as possible. My family and I would like to thank them all. You should not miss the chance to stay at Village House!

The Village House: "Fine Dining experience in a village life… Interesting"

Review by: LoveSunlight | Source: Trip Advisor
"My 2nd visit to this resort since my last year stayed. This time was a bit different experience compared my previous because it's happened to be the yearly Rainforest World Music Festival 2016. It's full house and my 1st experience to stay in a dormitory style. Very clean and just nice with 6 beds in a room. I would categorize this as luxury dormitory style. For those who are planning to come for this yearly event, I would suggest you to stay around Santubong area where it easy for you to access to RWMF2016. The Village has taken over everything for their guests, hassle free during my stays here. To my surprised, our breakfast, dinner and supper are included during this period of time in one price. The most impressed was the 4 courses fine dining dinner set. Awesome!... The only downside of my stays here are the foods quality has dropped especially during breakfast time. Our ordered has taken wrongly and we were rushing to check out. Overall the foods are bit too salty. I can understand because of this festive has keeping the staffs so busy and tired but really need to maintain it quality. I will still come back again but not during any festive period."

Hotel Tugu Bali: "Perfect, down to the last detail!"

Review by: EvelienLa | Source: Trip Advisor
We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Tugu Bali! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, full of Balinese influences. The staff is very attentive and kind, the breakfast is fingerlicking good and I can highly recommend watching the sunset whilst enjoying a high tea. Also worth pointing out that the bed at Tugu is probably the biggest and comfiest bed we have ever slept in. Would love to stay here again!

Slow Villas and Spa: "Great romantic getaway"

Review by: HuffJoe | Source: Trip Advisor
"Well, I will start by saying we were booked at another place on Gili Air and while it was nice, we decided to go over and take a peak at Gili Slow to see if they might have a vacancy for our second night. When we got there they had one suite available which they showed us.....it was so much better than our current place we actually went back and grabbed our bags and moved that night to Gili Slow! The service was great, the breakfast delivered to our one bedroom pool side villa was delicious and delivered at EXACTLY the time we asked for it the night before (impressive in any island destination). The open air rooms and super comfy beds and outdoor bathrooms were all great. Also, they have a great spa on site as well but book your treatments early as they book up fast! Overall just a fantastic experience in a magical place."

David’s Kitchen: "A True Chiang Mai Treasure"

Review by: Alina A | Source: Trip Advisor
"On our first night in Chiang Mai, we wanted to start our stay here with a nice dinner, and after reading all of the wonderful reviews, we decided there would be no better place than David's Kitchen. Our experience not only met our expectations, but exceeded them. When we first sat down, David came to our table and was more than kind and welcoming. The staff paid such close attention to detail and with their superb service, it made our dining experience unforgettable. There was never a moment we were left unattended. The pumpkin soup and the raw salmon with cucumber salad was absolutely delicious and I definitely recommend those as starters. Then, I ordered the Beef Cheek as my main course and it was magical; a true culinary experience for anyone who has a passion and appreciation for food. You could feel the chef's heart and soul in every dish. Then, as if it couldn't get any better, we were talking to David again, telling him how much I love to cook and that's when he invited my whole family to the kitchen to meet Chef O. The Chef and his team gave us a warm welcome and took a picture with my family. Overall, the experience we had here was an utter treat and one we will never forget. Thank you David and Co. for an amazing night filled with impeccable service and food. Anyone who is staying in Chiang Mai should not leave without getting the pleasure of visiting this Chiang Mai treasure. Sincerely, Alina Aslanian & Family"

Dewakan: "Fine Dinning"

Review by: Lian Tiong G | Source: Trip Advisor
My children organized a birthday dinner for me at the Dekawan restaurant located at the KDU campus in Glenmarie. A real fine dinning with special attention to details as every course is explained before we eat. A quiet and nice place. We enjoyed our dinner and had a good family gathering.

Misool Eco Resort: "Wow, What an amazing Place"

Review by: Paul F | Source: Trip Advisor
"this is the one place the journey to get there is worth the experience, the resort is spacious and well laid out the rooms are well laid out and the outdoor bathroom/shower while strange for the 1st time soon became normal. the food and the dining area was great, there is beer and wine available but no spirits or bar service, so if you have a favorite tipple then you will need to bring that with you, but food and accommodation aside you are here to dive and you wont be be disappointing, the house reef Jetty dive is probably the best house reef dives in the world, this is only location I am aware of were you can see Reef Mantas and Oceanic Mantas interacting at the same cleaning station, the variety of see life is incredible, Pygmy seahorse, turtles, sharks, Nudi's, corrals, if you can think of it there probably is one there somewhere, we even had whales passing the bay during evening drink times. if you are into photography, you are going to have a few challenges, makro, wide angle, video, the dives are so diverse you need every option available, the other challenge is the sea life is so rich the fish keep getting in the way of your shots... overall this resort is not easy to get to it is at the upper end of the cost market, but is it worth it, yes and Yes my last comment is a bit selfish since I have now had the honor of visiting this region is that we (the traveler) continue to seek out remote untouched places to visit, they then become popular destroying the reason we went there in the first place, the management of the resort and the sanctuary zone is extremely well done, i truly hope it does not bend to more commercial pressures."

Muang La Lodge: "A gem away from the crowds"

Review by: BeniarJohn | Source: Trip Advisor
"If possible go for a river view room, where you can idle any free time watching the world go by. The managers look after your every need and the place is spotless although the bathroom wasn't quite up to the high standard as the rest of the room; everything worked but just didn't look great, the whole area was done out in sort of polished green concrete. The food at dinner is Lao French fusion - beautifully presented but we did find it a little bit bland and beige, although as it's a set menu, I appreciate that they have to cater to provide meals that everyone can eat. Breakfast was from a menu, not a buffet and simply excellent. Drinks a tad pricey. We had a 5 hour trek which was thoroughly enjoyable and a 2 hour one which wasn't so good. Make the effort to get up early to see the monks going out to collect alms, about 7am, it's nothing like the circus in Luang Prabang, just very quiet and dignified. Overall, a very good experience. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"

Flower Island: "Simply Amazing"

Review by: andrew s | Source: Trip Advisor
"If you are looking for a place to truly relax, that is off the beaten path, and want to be surrounded by friendly mellow guests and attentive, caring staff, then this is the place for you. Flower Island is not like the other crowded resorts in Palawan. This is truly a place where you will chill and relax. For those that can’t sit still there is snorkeling (great reef just steps from your room), kayaks, SUPs, pearl farm tour and trekking around the island to keep you occupied. Definitely worth the time and investment. I highly recommend this place!!"

Rahai’i Pangun: "3D/2N River cruise"

Review by: pfinan1960 | Source: Trip Advisor
"My wife and I took a 3D/2N river cruise with Wow Borneo in February 2017. The boat was clean and comfortable. We had the superior cabin, which included a double bed and private bathroom. All the guest cabins were air conditioned. 3 meals a day were served on the main deck. The chef aboard was excellent! We certainly never went away hungry. The crew and guide were excellent. Our guide spoke excellent English, which was a major help since we speak very little Bahasa Indonesia. She was also very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna and also the local culture. She had a really sharp eye for spotting animals on the shore as we passed. Of course the main attraction was the chance to see Orangutans. We were not disappointed. We say them every day of the cruise, and at one point saw 6 in one location. There were also numerous monkeys and birds. This was the best tour we have been on in our year in Indonesia. I highly recommend it."
