Cuca: "Superb restaurant"
The food style is tapas so you can order as little or as much as you like. The tastes are amazing as is the presentation. It's so good that we went twice while on an 8 day trip in the area.Nam Bo Boutique Hotel: "Quaint hotel in a great location"
"On arrival we were invited to sit down & enjoy a welcome drink & snacks whilst checking in. We were then taken to our suite, which was unexpectedly spacious with a separate lounge/dining room & lovely hardwood floors throughout. Blossoms on the bed were another nice touch. However, the highlight of this hotel is the restaurant on the roof, which provides top quality food together with fabulous views of the promenade & Mekong. The breakfasts are exceptional with trays of pastries & fruit, freshly squeezed juices, yogurt & hot food cooked to order. We were there for dinner on Christmas Eve & Santa visited the restaurant & gave us all very nice presents. This was another unexpected treat. All of the staff were friendly & helpful and the service throughout our stay was of the highest quality. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel."Slow Villas and Spa: "Absolute wonderland"
"We checked-in to the Slow Villas for 2 nights and ended up staying for 4 nights, were lucky our villa had availability as they seem to be fully booked most of the time. My fiancee and I fall short of words to describe our content. Our Slow Villa stay has provided us with an utmost quiet mind to relax and to work (we had a lot of work to do which needed top focus). Our villa had a huge garden perhaps 250m2 and all the comfort and amenities we needed. We took a break off the villa only to get massages and facials at the beautiful Slow Spa, moments of total bliss! The staff were all extremely polite, kind and thoughtful at all times and it was great to be greeted even at 2 am in the morning to get a water refill, knowing there's 24 hours staff and attention which is rare (probably unique) in Gili Air. The detailed guide book which has been put together, available at the villa came also very handy for information, food options and activities on the island. Finally, our super comfy bed and goose feather pillows (never seen in any other luxurious hotel in Indonesia) made it very hard to get out of the bed but the delicious breakfast options delivered to our villa were very convincing to take a step away from the bed:)) We can not recommend this place enough. Many thanks!"4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Simply amazing and unforgettable"
"We stayed in tent 6 north for 2 nights...we do have regrets about our stay. And that is basically the fact that we didn't stay longer. This place is beautiful. A friendly welcome on arrival as we then took a boat ride to the resort. Having just come from Phnom Penh the first thing that hits you is the calmness. A further friendly and informative welcome once we reached the resort. We arrived mid afternoon and took advantage of the wonderful food and sipped a couple of beers on the deck in front of our superb accommodation. The sheer size of the tents and the comfort factor and ammenities available are fantastic. I loved the fact you could unzip the tent to allow you to see the beautiful surroundings at all times. As well as allowing a subtle breeze. The fans provided help with the heat and humidity and the bed is large and comfortable. I love how EVERYTHING moves with the flow of boats passing or people walking on the walkways. Dinner choices are required in advance where you can choose the set menu of the day or simply pick what you like from the standard menu. Breakfast choices are also required in advance. The food is very tasty and the restaurant staff very polite and efficient. We enjoyed a trip to the waterfall. Our 2 guides and boat driver were very good and also great fun. Very interesting to hear how they now have jobs at the resort having been poachers. We arrived prior to anyone else and it was great. The water is warm to swim and the scenery gorgeous. Butterflies everywhere and of course the flowing falls. Fried rice cooked fresh on boar for lunch which was delicious. A thunderstorm started upon our return boat trip..I'm not good with lighting and I'll never forget the guides 'ducking' and 'cowaring' with each lightning strike...when I saw what damage the lightning strikes had caused to their coconut trees you'd understand why. Thankfully after watching the rain fall with such force into the river as we arrived back it stopped. We went on the free trip to see the fire flies. Stunning and so bizarre that they all congregate to one tree..it flashes like a Christmas tree...but it much more beautiful...and the stars...in such darkness the stars are so bright. We were off to Kep after here and were so glad to be given the choice of when we departed. 8am 10am or 12pm. We went with the later time so to optimise our time. Using this to take a leisurely breakfast and to take the kayaks out for a paddle round the island. We saw rhinoceros hornbills and archer fish. Highly recommend 4 rivers. Long may it stay exactly as it is"Rachamankha: "a superb accommodation in CM"
"We held our wedding and stayed at this beautiful property last month. We have booked two suite rooms facing the library garden (if you know where the hidden library is) and a few superior rooms. Our family and guests loved the peaceful and oriental ambience of the property. Located in the old city, waling distance to Wat Pra Singh, Oasis Spa Lanna and Sunday night market. only 10-15mins drive to the airport. If you would like to stay away heavy touristy area and would like to enjoy the resort indulgence and retreat, this could be an option. If anyone is also considering a destination wedding at non-beach location in Thailand, highly recommended!! The hotel does not offer a package but will customise according to your needs and preference. We would like to thank you for Rachamankha to have made our big day successful and memorable! We would love to visit and stay on our anniversary day again! Please note that the hotel does not allow a child under 12 years though. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"Nam Bo Boutique Hotel: "What a cute little 7-room boutique hotel!"
"Centrally located, facing the pier and walking distance to the old market, Nam Bo is not only cute but located in the heart of the live part of Can Tho. Ideal to stay before/after a cruise on a Bassac Boat . and Nice restaurant on the roof top with view on the river"David’s Kitchen: "A Highlight of Our Trip"
Food: Delicious! I ordered an Asian dish (seared tuna with lemon grass) and my friend ordered a European dish (braised meat on potato mash with heavenly gravy), and both were SCRUMMY! We also got the flight of soups -- YUM! The squash soup and the pea soup were especially bright and flavorful -- I say this as someone who usually won't order either on a normal night. The lobster bisque was full of lobster (which is oddly not a given in my experience). David is an expat Brit and a charmer. Lovely man! He stopped by our table throughout the night, extolling stories about the family recipes behind his signature dishes, as well as his own mind-blowing travel experiences. The reservation page is a breeze, and best of all it asks if you'd like transportation to take you to and from the restaurant, which in a click brought a car to our hotel lobby at reservation time and made travel to the restaurant effortless. (We all agree the travel option on the reservation page is brilliant.) We will be back!!NEELESHWAR: "Silently Beautiful"
"Where to start?? I was very happy and fulfilled with my stay at Neeleshwar Hermitage. A 2.5 hour drive from Mangalore airport. They organize pick up for you offering a cold ice towel which is much needed after few hours of flight. Also, there is fresh fruit in the car to help you get through the drive. Staff: The staff is what impressed me the most about Neeleshwar Hermitage. The service staff are insanely courteous and sincerely caring about providing the utmost in hospitality. Chef Anish and Chef Deepak prepare wonderful dishes that are full flavored with local spices bringing the taste of India directly to your senses. The fact that I want to name every single department and staff member who left an impression on me should illustrate how amazing I thought the service at Neeleshwar was. Why I recommend you go: -The place has a weird way of making you forget yourself and focus on everything around you making you wonder all sorts of things. -It's beautiful. Beach tables where you're eating deliciously seasoned fresh fish listening to the sounds of the Arabian Sea taking small glances up at the sky to view the stars. -Mediation and yoga are classical bringing you back to a simpler frame of mind. It's like Mr. Anil takes the beauty of the resort and channels it within you. -Ayurveda aims to balance your mind, body, and soul. They don't only sell it, Neeleshwar Hermitage embodies it. There is direct communication between the restaurant, the spa, the mediation and yoga instructor, and the management of the hotel. This is to ensure that all aspects of you are getting the best for your mind, body, and soul. This communication made you feel that the whole place had your best interests at heart. -Ranipuram Trek. Went to the highest point 1050m above sea level and it was stunning. A moderately difficult climb but well worth it. Not for the lazy. -Some of the freshest fruit you'll ever have. I drank a fresh glass of orange juice and couldn't believe how sweet it was. -They literally climb the trees to get you coconut water. Can't get better or fresher than that !! -STAFF once again was amazing! Overall, the place is great. It all depends though on what you're looking for. There are things to do but ultimately it's just a place to getaway from the world and focus on yourself. And they do everything they can so you don't have to worry about anything but you."Slow Villas and Spa: "Amazing villa, couldn’t have asked for more"
"From start to finish we were made to feel very welcome, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The villa was beautiful, very nicely decorated, the private pool was great. Breakfasts were amazing, brought to our villa at a requested time and laid out on the garden table to enjoy the morning. We were treated to a complimentary massage in the adjoining spa which was very relaxing and free pilates in the mornings was a very enjoyable bonus. The only minor comment would be that a couple of things like bike hire and laundry service seemed needlessly overpriced. If I returned to Gili Air I would stay here again."Tugu Malang: "Great Break"
I love staying at this hotel. The rooms, decor, ambience and staff are great. The restaurant is excellent. My default hotel when in Malang. If you are ever in the area, you really should stay here. We booked the. Executive Room and were most impressed. Make sure you have the complimentary high tea in the afternoon.
