MesaStila Resort and Spa: "Great location to unwind and relax"

Review by: indozoner | Source: Trip Advisor
"The stay was actually in December 2016, so this review is very long overdue. The five of us booked two villas, and since we were the only guests during our stay, it felt like we rented the whole property. The property is quite secluded, which makes it the perfect location to just get away from the hustle and bustle of life and relax a bit. Get closer to nature, join a yoga session or two, and there's even a rigorous jungle gym trained by a marathoner for the more active guests. Service was great, everything was meticulously prepared with great care by the staffs. When we left, almost everyone (including the management) came out to bid us farewell. Almost makes us not want to leave. One other thing worth noticing is the jamu (javanese herbal concoctions), which are freshly made every morning during breakfast. I'm not usually a jamu person, but I partake quite a lot (almost every kind) that's available."

Villa Song Saigon: "Top class!"

Review by: AnneliJP | Source: tripadvisor.com
"We recently stayed at the Villa Song for the first leg of our honeymoon in beautiful Vietnam. After a choice of two rooms, we opted for a suite with balcony overlooking the river at the front of the hotel - what a fab choice! The hotel oozes charm and elegance with stunning French colonial decor and a relaxing pool area away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Food and service is exceptional with a particular thanks to the front of house team and Freddie the restaurant manager who made us feel very welcome. This really is a gem of a hotel..we hope to return again one day."

Tugu Bali: "Thursday cultural event"

Review by: Isaac G | Source: Trip Advisor
Thursday I went with some friends to see the Balinese dances and the truth is that very well worth it. We had a drink and we could be there the whole show. We did not stay or eat dinner but everything had to be very careful painting and thought. Highly recommended dances!

Supanniga Eating Room: "Refined thai food great flavor"

Review by: sudirmanman | Source: Trip Advisor
Heard a lot of good things about this place and was NOT disappointed when I finally ate there. As there was 2 of us We were limited in how many dishes to try. We had the Issan pork sausage, pa neng beef red curry and the crispy fish with mango relish. All 3 dishes scored top marks. Sausage was fragrant and had a good texture. Curry was full bodied with the right level of heat. Crispy fish salad was generous serving and the mango dressing was light. Food was enough for 3. Was stuffed but very satisfied. Best thai food I had on this trip.

Rachamankha: "Beautiful Boutique Hotel"

Review by: blakeHK | Source: Trip Advisor
"Location is within the square but a little bit out of the main shopping and food areas in the old town of Chiang Mai. However it is only a 10-12 minute walk into the main central food areas and this slight isolation gives the hotel a sense of pure tranquility that is difficult to find in this bustling little city. Another bonus is the hotel is right next to one of our favourite temples (Phra Singh Temple) The property itself is pure class; the courtyard is stunning and there is plenty of places on the property to relax and read a book or take in the amazing architecture, art and culture that is oozing from this gorgeous hotel. The pool is beautiful and again another great place to relax and unwind. The staff are friendly but not over bearing which we found perfect. Sometimes staff can get a little too familiar but not in this case. The restaurant was fabulous and the breakfasts although not large were perfect to set up the day. There were a few things that were not 100% but over all we were very happy with our stay and would certainly go back. The WiFi on the property was not strong and would often drop but luckily we bought a pocket WiFi so wasn't a big issue. Although the staff did spray often there were many mosquito's around but we bought some bug spray at the local 7/11 and used it in the room before we left each evening. Also the rooms were appointed with mosquito nets which was great. There was also a real lack of power points in the room. I would take a power bar with you if you are expecting to charge anything more than a phone...but I guess this place is for relaxing and not for electronics ;)"

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "It is absolutely nice place to visit and stay!"

Review by: touchkimly0168 | Source: Trip Advisor
"That is really really nice place in term of pure natural views and fresh foods with low costs. The people there are so friendly and helpful. I went there so many times, including my honeymoon trip, whenever i want to kill work stress and stay in pure nature and enjoy local fresh foods. The chef there is also great. He can cook so many delicious foods and sweets especially ice-cream, my favorite sweet, with hygiene and fresh. Not only day time that i can go on many excursion places, but also at night time i can go to see amazing fire flies with romantic kayak for couple. whoooooh.... so many more! more than i can say! Room Tip: At the end of the south and north rooms are best rooms for honeymoon!"

Satri House: "Wonderful staff and lovely property"

Review by: Jason L | Source: Trip Advisor
"My wife, infant daughter and I stayed at the property for 5 nights. On our check in, we were greeted warmly by Julie and her team and were brought on a quick tour of the property. I think we were kinda impatient then because the property was so beautiful and we wanted to quickly go explore. Even in me and my daughter's impatience to go play with the wooden rocking horse, Julie was so very patient and kind. We booked the junior suite which was really generous in size, and absolutely lovely in style. The room was spacious, clean, and very well appointed. our first nights dinner was really really good. So good that we thought.... hey.. Why don't people eat more Laotian food!? But as the days passed and we had a selection of good and ok restaurants.. we realized that no, the Laotian selection and food in Satri house just tasted better, and was better curated. The breakfast was insanely generous and tasted amazing. I am going to miss that so much. What I will really miss is the wonderful wait staff in the restaurant. Every single one of them was attentive, kind, and generous in patience. They made my very naughty daughter feel loved and entertained every time we dined there, so much so that breakfast was a ritual that we couldn't miss, and we were constantly considering only eating at satri restaurant. It was so funny because in the mornings, when we walk into the restaurant, a gaggle of activity buzzes around ensuring that my daughter was happy, comfortable and well fed. Never have I been to a restaurant that has made me and my family feel so welcomed. I will miss having breakfast at satri house, and I truly felt sad leaving. The housekeeping team was also amazing. We had a minor run in on day 2 with a poor job done that we felt we had to call in to speak with the housekeeping supervisor. But thereafter, they picked up the ante and made sure our room was tip top every afternoon and evening we got back. I love the idea that we could freely use the bikes to get around the city, the morning rides to watch the sunrise and alms giving is so refreshing. The only drawback would be that the property is located close to many party loving neighbors. Of the 5 nights we were there, there were 3 unique parties. The one we encountered on our last day was so frightfully loud we stayed indoors all morning with the windows shut. The other 2 were quite bearable. But this of course, is no fault of the perfect team at satri house. By the looks of the reviews.. this is pretty hit and miss. I can imagine it being worse closer to the center of Luang Prabang. Laotians seem to love to partaaayy. "

Glenburn Tea Estate: "Relaxing and beautiful"

Review by: Chris622013 | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is a stunningly beautiful hotel in an amazing location. The quality of rooms, service and food were all exceptional. Staff were friendly and helpful. We did a couple of birdwatching walks - one in the afternoon and one in the early morning - with a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. We also enjoyed a tour of the Glenburn tea factory, a walk down to the river and lesson in how to make momos - all with professional and friendly guides."

David’s Kitchen: "Best dining in Thailand! One of a kind"

Review by: Emilie D | Source: Trip Advisor
This was by far one of the best meals we ate in Thailand! The cocktails were exceptional, and the food was delicious! More importantly, David was such an interesting man, and it was an absolute pleasure to meet him and hear his story! You will feel special from the moment you step in the place. THIS IS A MUST!

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Feels like staying in a 19th century building"

Review by: cys934 | Source: Trip Advisor
The property still retains its original feel, as the owners have used professional building conservation methods to restore the building instead of totally revamping the interior in accordance to modern interior design concepts. Recommend to attend the daily guided tours to know more about the history of the building and its 1st owner, Cheong Fatt Sze.
