Reverie Siam Pai: "Best hotel in Pai"
This place is clearly a cut above the other options in Pai. You have all the creature comforts of a boutique resort hotel with an excellent restaurant, all within a short walk or golf cart ride to the Pai night market and other draws. Enjoy this wonderful backpacker town while also coming home to a comfortable bed and peace and quiet!SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Unforgettable Experience"
we enjoyed everything : at first a housemade sunset-cocktail in the lounge and then a most varied 7-course menue in a beautyful fine dining restaurant surrounded from the best host in yangon - no trip to myanmar without dining in SEEDS Restaurant & LoungeTugu Bali: "Beautiful Tugu"
There is a delightful languor that hangs over the Hotel Tugu. Canggu is laid back and beachy and casual but the hotel exists in its own little bubble of languid splendor. It takes a little while to surrender yourself to the requisite level of sensual abandon to truly appreciate the place, but try. A cup of ginger or cinnamon tea served in a celadon green tea cup on the veranda whilst you nibble delicious Balinese sweets, a swim in the sparkling pool adorned with fountains or (if you are lucky enough) a refreshing plunge in your own private pool, a long shower or soak in your semi open-air bathroom, while the carp in the adjoining pond look on, a short nap in the enormous four poster teak bed followed by an Arak Exotica as the sun sets over the beach and you should be suitably in the zone. If you are feeling moderately adventurous you can wander around the grounds and appreciate the architecture, art and antiques or poke around the cool, dark museum shop for treasures. It's a gorgeous, delightful, sexy place. I was well looked after.Mathis Retreat: "A real retreat in beautiful surroundings with wonderful staff"
We received a wonderful, warm welcome at this peaceful haven which is a 10 minute taxi ride from the centre of Ubud. We chose a room in the new block overlooking the rice fields which was just beautiful- the pictures on the website do not do it justice. Fresh fruit was delivered to our room each evening. Breakfast at the Terracotta restaurant overlooking the rice fields was lovely and eating there in the evening was magical. The staff go out of their way to be helpful at every opportunity. We used the hotel as a base from which to explore this fascinating part of the island and would definitely recommend it. Only slight con was the wi fi was very temperamental but a small price to pay!Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Wonderful stay at Cheong Fatt Tze / Blue Mansion"
"Over the recent Easter long weekend, we decided to take a break in Penang. We picked the Blue Mansion, indigo blue coloured heritage hotel with only 18 rooms after learning about its history and seen some pictures. From the outside, the heritage hotel is hidden behind a high wall so only the roof and part of the building were visible from outside. The hotel also conducts a tour of the hotel, sharing the history as well as the challenging task of restoring the hotel when it was bought over following the death of the last son of the original owner. Hotel guests gets to join the tour for free. We were very fortunate to join the tour on the day that Loh-Lim Lin Lee, current owner of the hotel, was leading the tour. She only does it on Friday at 11am and 2pm. She was a wonderful story teller, sharing about the unique architecture, origins of the materials used in the construction such as colourful history. Beautifully restored with rooms that are a mixed of modern and traditional. We even have a jacuzzi in our bathroom! Highly recommend for a different experience from conventional hotel stay. Stayed March 2017, traveled with friends"Villa Song Saigon: "Superb Hotel"
"We spent a couple of nights here at the end of our trip and it really was excellent. The staff were first class and extremely helpful at all times. The free boat rides into central Saigon are really useful and allow you to explore the sites. Rooms are really well designed and very comfortable. Pool is lovely. Food was good but on the expensive side but all the restaurants in the area are quite dear as the hotel is in the expat area of town. Would highly recommend it though"Maduzi Hotel: "Spacious & wonderful hotel in e midst of a busy city"
This hotel room is huge beyond imagination. I had a free upgrade to corner suite. The mini bar was free. There was a huge bath tub with the water coming down from the ceiling. The width of the bed was about 2 meters and it was super comfortable and soft. Service was great and efficient. Furniture is a little damaged here and there but it is negligible. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.Inle Princess Resort: "A “must” stay here"
Superb Hotel with a unique approach by boat with the very unique rowing style to get you there! Simply beautiful location and fab rooms. We stayed in a lake house which I really can't fault. It has a rustic charm but with all the extras that you expect in a 5 star hotel. The outside shower is a nice touch and really good! the whole resort is beautifully maintained and we would have like to have stayed a while longer. There is only one restaurant but it does have an extensive menu and the food is good. if there is any criticism, the dining room lacks a little atmosphere but really not a significant point and would not deter me from returning. Also fab spa! We didn't use the pool but that too looked wonderful. maybe next time!Inle Princess Resort: "Beautiful, calm location"
We stayed in lake side room for 2 nights. As everyone has said it is a lovely hotel. The rooms are spacious and well maintained, the food good with local dishes, the swimming pool an unexpected bonus, kind staff. It is an enjoyable boat journey to teach the resort, being off the main water ways means it is very quiet. Very highly recommended.tugu bali: "Superb Dining Course"
"We visited the Tugu by chance when in search for a different dining experience. Their prefixed course menu is nothing but impressive. It is certain worth the splurge. For me the most valuable was their willingness to accommodate on vegetarian options. It is recommended to book at least a day in advance. If you have a large group, they have rooms available with a rather interesting decor theme of red lights, antique and wooden carvings (picture an imperial room in Shanghai). Service is pleasant and friendly. "
