Yandabo Home: "A special place"
"Having enjoyed our river cruise from Bagan, we were whisked by a small boat to arrive at Yandabo Home and a warm greeting from the staff group. A real achievement to create this boutique hotel here, off the beaten track. Simple bedroom with a high quality bathroom and products and food well presented. Friendly staff took us to visit the local villages with tea and biscuits on the way on the boat back a nice touch. Thanks to all the team. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"Slow Villas and Spa: "Relaxing, privacy, surrounded by nature and friendly staff"
"Great villa, with everything you possibly need! Cannot say anything bad about this location (except from the fact that their price for the boat to go to Bali is way too expensive - go to the harbour and negotiate the price over there!) I love the fact that they use environmentally friendly products! Definitely want to come back!!"Neeleshwar Hermitage: "outstanding"
A peaceful, comforatble place in which to be restored. A wonderful beach and a great sea of small, and very warm, waves for the children to bound in. The food here is the best of India, the servants unobtrusive but caring. The tailor in the shop makes excellent clothes in a night. One of the best places we have found.VILLA SONG SAIGON: "An oasis of calm amidst the madness of Saigon"
"Yega and his team make every effort to make a stay at the Villa Song a memorable occasion. They are extremely warm, professional and hospitable and the hotel is in a spectacular setting on the banks of the Saigon river. There was a wedding on when we were staying. We were naturally concerned given we had two young children with us and we were worried that the noise would prevent them sleeping. The staff were extremely accommodating however, gave us an excellent recommendation for a dinner location nearby (to which they paid the taxi) and ensured that the noise from the wedding was not excessive. We were keen to eat in the restaurant as we heard great things about the food- however we didn't get the chance because of the wedding... next time, we hope. well worth a stay. "Sukoon Houseboat: "“Wondurful stay – perfect service”"
It was the perfect ending to a trip through Ladakh. The boat just looks amazing with all the fine woodwork in the rooms and the small lobby. Add to that the perfect service and smile of the staff - thank you Dah en Annan- and you get a wonderful experience. We spent 4 days on the boat while there was a curfew in the city and still Annan managed to cook us every evening a wonderful meal.Sandat Glamping Tents: "Gem of a property – Truly peaceful"
"A magical, beautifully landscaped property with eco-architectural designs... Exceeded our expectations! We stayed in the Ylang Ylang tent for 4 nights. The tents are secluded, comfortable and very well decorated, each with its own private pool and stunning jungle views. We enjoyed the in-room massages. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. The shuttle service into Ubud town was useful. The owners will be adding yoga facilities to Sandat in the near future. A truly perfect place to unwind. I looking forward to visiting again soon. Thank you!"Locavore: "amazing restaurant"
"e went for a lunch 7 courses menu. food was delicious. every plate presented was a big wow and then hmmmmm! service is courteous and efficient. sometimes hard to understand the ingredients and feel waiters are just reciting the names without putting too much passion into it. but they get things done. the cocktail pairing is left a bit to be desired.. some are a bit too strong compared to the food. suggest to order wine/cocktails a la carte worth every cent and every minute of your time. if you happen to be in ubud and some budget to spare, go to locavore."Villa Song Saigon: "Thank god we stayed at this hotel in HCMC"
I am so glad we stayed in this hotel. We said it about 5 times a day how happy we were that we chose this hotel. HCMC is a big dirty busy city and this hotel is a little haven in HCMC. The other hotels we walked into in the city were very old and tired and i didnt see one I would have preferred to have stayed in. If we had stayed in town as our final stop of a fantastic holiday we would have been very very disappointed. It is a beautiful hotel, everything is brand new. Our bedroom was a standard bedroom and was very big with a very big shower. The pool is so relaxing. The only thing we were worried about was this hotel is in District 2 however it didn't matter as we caught the speed boat into town when we wanted and they gave us a mobile phone to call when we needed to be picked up - it is a 10 min boat road and very relaxing trip. I would stay here again and again and would not bother looking at hotels in HCMC D1. When you get off the speed boat the city is right there so that is not a problem either. My only complaint of this hotel is the service is not spot on and needs polishing. We constantly had to wave the waiters over for drinks and when we were at the pool they were nowhere to be seen (there is a bell to ring but they are slow to come) however this would not deter me from staying here again.Maison Polanka: "Luxury and pracefulness"
My wife and I visited in March and stayed in the separate room beside the dining and pool area. The service was excellent, as were the facilities. The staff were always helpful and we always felt we were returning to a luxurious retreat every time we came back from a day of temples and walking in the heat. We would happily stay again.Inle Princess Resort: "A few suggestions"
"I don't need to say much more about the quality of this hotel or the beauty of its location. Go to Myanmar. Go to Inle Lake. Stay at the Inle Princess. Here, though, are a few tips for those who do follow the directives above: 1. Take advantage of the complimentary shoe shine. 2. There really isn't any charge for the beer in the mini-bar. 3. The hotel leaves earplugs in the room (presumably for those whose sleep might be disturbed by frogs and lizards). You may not need the earplugs during the night, but hold onto them, because they are very useful on the boats, which have very loud outboard motors. 4. The boat tour of the lake is essential. Make sure to include a visit to a local market. The basic boat tour lasts for one day, but it is a very long day (especially if you start with the market), so you should consider splitting the tour and doing it over two days. 5. When you visit the village of the silversmiths, avoid the large shop at the entrance to the village -- the one with the tiny workshop staffed by ""brothers"" who play with their cell phones until a tourist boat arrives and a large showroom stuffed with overpriced silver that must come from China. 6. The artisanal workshops on the village side of the hotel are definitely worth a visit. 7. Eat the Shan noodles for breakfast -- order them the evening before."
