Manda De Laos: "My best dining experience for 2017"
"Seated outside next to the lotus ponds with the floodlit garden is an experience in itself. Next there is the cheerful service & attention to detail & you have added to that experience before you even consider the fabulous food. Simple things such as a fire bucket beside the table on a cold night, the small, heated dish to keep your Laos sausage entre warm & assistance with any request also made it special. I will not describe the great food we had but I thought the rice pudding with condiments was an imaginative twist on an otherwise somewhat bland pudding -- you add any or all of the 6 condiments to come up with the desert that suits you. It all added up to an exceptional night out."Rachamankha: "Charming Hotel"
This excellent hotel is located in the heart of the old town of Chiang Mai. All major Sightseeing places are in easy walking distance. The restaurant is located in a Patio and the chef is preparing delicious dishes.David’s Kitchen: "Must try in Chiang Mai"
Davids Kitchen is located 15 mins drive from the old town, but it definitely worth a visit if you are in Chiang Mai and for special occasion. You would be amazed by the garden when you first arrive. The food is fantastic and staffs would give you great recommendation if you are not sure what to order. David was also in the restaurant and making sure every guest is enjoying the dinner. We also got a little sweet surprise at the end of the dinner. Would definitely come again.Sukoon Houseboat: "Pure Bliss"
"The best way to recover from stressful trekking in Ladahk. SUKOON is pure understated luxury .From your beautifully appointed stateroom with dream beds to the attached bathroom with both full sized tub & separate rain shower every comfort is assured. The amazing food is individually prepared by a top class chef. All staff are helpful, attentive & polite. I fully recommend SUKOON Houseboat as standout accommodation which will be the highlight of your trip to Srinagar."Reverie Siam: "Perfect Getaway"
Chose this hotel based on tripadvisor and was very pleased. It is truly a quiet, restful, peaceful place next to the Pai River and away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Pai. The villa room was spacious and very quiet, with a huge bathroom and jacuzzi tub. The restaurant is the best in town--regardless of what you may see on tripadvisor! We ate all our evening meals but one on a 4-night stay and were happy with all of them. The made-to-order breakfasts were more than we could eat and very tasty. The only problem we had was with the internet on the last day which seemed to block most of the websites we use, including Fox News!Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Adventure"
"This is a fantastic experience. The tents are clean and well equipped. The food is authentic Sri Lankan cuisine and was among the best we had on our trip. Meals are communal and the staff are excellent at creating a sociable and welcoming atmosphere. Our guide was Danu. His passion for wildlife was very infectious and he answered all our questions knowledgeably and patiently. We visited quiet and remote areas of the park and had an excellent leopard sighting. We were also lucky enough to see some rare and beautiful birds."Slow Villas and Spa: "Amazingly relaxing holiday"
"We stayed one week at Slow Private Pool villas and had the most amazing and relaxing time; just what we needed. The staff went out of there way to help us. Slow has the most helpful and accommodating staff. The Slow Spa is wonderful. Gili Air itself is already a perfect island getaway with a tranquil vibe and Slow Villas only enhances that feeling. Fabulous holiday! We will certainly come back."Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Ideal place to rest"
"I have thought long and hard about this place and in truth would have given a 4.5 rating, it deserves more than a 4 but not quite a 5 for me. It has been mentioned e resort is remote, this is a bonus and a hinderance depending on the length of your stay. Here more than a week and you may feel a bit trapped, a few days and an idyllic escape. There is a restaurant near the main entrance, face 7/11, turn left and walk about 120m and it is next to a Korean restaurant. Never got there ourselves but a chef on holiday went and highly recommended it. We took a taxi into Chongmon for an evening away. It must be said the food, accommodation, service and staff are very good and worth staying to eat, but it is more expensive. Just outside the hotel are a couple of taxi/travel shops. We used one for taxiing to Fishermans Village one evening and a mornings trip round the Island and found them good value. Another hotel resident had issues with them on car hire, so go carefully. We had a sea view room with pool, well worth the extra for us when you want some privacy. You also have the hotel pool and beach nearby if you want to be sociable. Beach is OK and shared with the Outrigger Hotel next door. Some rocks to snorkel round and can be a bit rough, but that's nature and varies. On Sunday afternoons a live band, quiet good, and Wednesdays an evening where guests get a few nibbles and drinks. Pay the owner is often around and a pleasant host. Faith is resident hotel liaison and good for sorting anything you need from local tips, hotel issues or advice where to visit Not far from ferry to Ko Tao and Koh Penang and also close to airport but flights do not disturb hotel. Well worth a visit and hope to return. Room Tip: All with pool were good"Summertime Villa: "Simply magical"
We found Summertime to be absolutely magical. The serenity and beauty is outstanding. We could hear the birdsong all day. The house is perfect in every way with the greatest attention to every little detail. Prakash, Dinesh and Vaibhav were great, the food was fabulous. We would definitely want to come back again and again. Thank you Sucheta & Hans for also showing us around your lovely home `Aranya’. P.S. We loved meeting Jango, Gina and Bubbly too!Mathis Retreat: "Voyage de noce"
We were delighted by this beautiful hotel on the outskirts of Ubud. This splendid view overlooking the rice fields calls for calm and serenity. We were very welcomed by the hotel staff, very charming throughout our stay and always very attentive, helpful and unobtrusive. The room is beautifully decorated and we spend peaceful nights in an almost religious calm. The hotel restaurant serves great Indonesian food, a treat for the taste buds. The pool invites you to idleness, but happiness. A of sadness when the time comes to leave this enchanting place.
