Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Pure bliss"

Review by: allison w | Source: Trip Advisor
My husband and I stayed at this lovely resort for 5 days at the end of our travels through Thailand and it was an absolute dream! All of the staff were very helpful, welcoming, and instantly made me feel at home. As we rode on the long tail boat to the resort I could start to feel my stress and worries melt away, which continued throughout our time there. The food was absolutely amazing and there was a huge variety. I don't think they offered the same thing twice in the week we were there. The breakfast buffet was heavenly and the best way to start each day. Although I have traveled somewhat extensively, I have never been so sad to leave a resort. I would go back in a heartbeat and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from it all.

Mathis Retreat: "Fabulous"

Review by: Linda A | Source: Trip Advisor
Just a little out of the hustle and bustle of Ubud this hotel was fantastic. Tucked back off the street the entry isn't that inviting. But once inside, you see the beautiful infinity pool overlooking the rice fields and the thatched roof open air restaurant. We stayed in a bungalow with a private little yard (#7) Just behind the beautiful pool, an across from the restaurant. The room was very large, high ceilings, roomy bathroom. We loved it!! It has a shuttle into town and back. It was always great to get back to this beautiful place for a good meal, peace and quiet. It felt like we were coming home. Book this place. No worries.

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "A must stay experience"

Review by: robyn h | Source: Trip Advisor
"This place is amazing. Everything has been thought of to make his experience truly amazing. A boat picks you up and you can go to a nearby waterfall to swim and kayak. Our kids were towed along part of the river back to the hotel and loved it! The hotel is floating in a quiet area of the river. You can swim directly off your room, paddle or stand up paddle. The rooms are are very thoughtful and have everything you would expect. All toiletries are Eco friendly. There are movies and books (rained for a few hours) board games etc. The meals are delicious, the trip to see the fireflies is exciting. You must go and stay here, one night really isn't enough!"

Very comfortable rooms and good location. Service is impeccable and the whole setting is extremely relaxing. The staff are very helpful for everything and the breakfast is superb, unique and very colonial. Wonderful swimming pool too. Highly recommend it.

Satri House: "Perfection"

Review by: mandyw-d | Source: Trip Advisor
"We loved this small hotel only a ten minute walk in to town to reach the start of the night market. It is full of wonderful artefacts and curios and lovely nooks with comfy seating to curl up with a book. The junior suite we occupied was wonderful with a fabulous shower and bath and separate w.c.. The two swimming pools were lovely each with its own character. Sweet and comfy bar available and we thought the restaurant was good although we mostly ate in town. Delicious breakfasts. Charming service. The hotel was very helpful organising reservations in local restaurants too. Could have stayed much longer and definitely will return to this haven if we come back to Laos."

Bassac Cruises: "Great experience"

Review by: r_caden | Source: Trip Advisor
I wasn't sure what to expect on this cruise because my travel agent called this cruise by a different name and I couldn't find info about it before I went, but I was pleasantly surprised. The boat is quite nice and this trip was relaxing. While the rooms are very small, they had everything one needed and were cute and clean. The bathroom shower was the kind you hold while you stand at the sink, but it was warm and it worked fine for 2 days. The food was excellent. I was so impressed that those meals were made on a boat! The staff was friendly and made sure my picky kids had something they would eat at each meal, which I very much appreciated. Note to parents: there are no adjoining rooms. I have 2 six-year-olds, so my husband stayed with one and I stayed with the other, just for safety purposes. This is not the kind of boat one could fall off of easily so I wouldn't hesitate to bring young kids on board, but pack your tablets or something to entertain them because they'll be bored otherwise. My kids are happy to spend all day chilling out on a recliner with an ipad so they loved this cruise. I enjoyed seeing the homes on the delta and taking the tour to see the fruit and farming home. There is wifi on board but the connection is spotty and mostly slow.

VILLA SONG SAIGON: "Sanctuary by the Saigon River"

Review by: DavidChallinger | Source: tripadvisor.com
"This is an outstanding hotel. Beautifully refurbished former French colonial mansion with about 25 rooms. We stayed in a Sanctuary room on the top floor. High quality dining at tables beside the Saigon river. Rooms are beautifully decorated with every facility. Loved the TV that rotated 360. The hotel's own speedboat runs a shuttle service to the city centre. Staff excellent. Attention to detail (eg anti mossy spray on dining tables) My wife had a birthday while we were there. Bouquet of flowers and special cake unsolicited. "

tugu lombok: "Unique, thoughtful service in a stunning location"

Review by: JohnCole99 | Source: tripadvison.com
"We spent 3 nights in Tugu and were firstly impressed by the size and beauty of the property. The long stretch of private beach and two pools offer a lot of space and comfy sun loungers. The surrounding area and restaurant/ lobby is beautiful - very authentic and often pays tribute to the Hindu religion and times gone by, but is very charming. The service is excellent - they offer a very personal service and give great advice about hotel activities and the surrounding areas. Elly and Henry in reception are brilliant. The menu is extensive and the food was good. Smoothies and cocktails are excellent. We also enjoyed a private yoga class and massage - both were great and reasonably priced. If you are looking for sun, sea, sand, good food, service, activities - then this is the place! "

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Fantastic break from the outside world!"

Review by: Rohonesh K | Source: Trip Advisor
During our trip of Cambodia (Jan'18), we spent two nights here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We drove from Sihanoukville International Airport and were able to reach their reception point in little under 3 hours. The 25 min ride from the reception point to the actual lodge builds up the anticipation in a good way as some of the scenery is just jaw-dropping. Quant little tents with all the required amenities, extremely comfortable and a private deck for yourself, which you can use for enjoying the sun or jumping into the Tatai River wherever you want. With little or no phone connectivity (only Metfone has any sort of connectivity here), you can switch off from the outside world and just spend time with nature. They also take you in a boat to enjoy the sights of fireflies in the evening and it looks magical. You can enjoy the sunset as well (an hour's ride in a boat down the Tatai river) or other trips that they can arrange for you on demand. They maintain a decent DVD collection which you can use (they don't have satellite TV and this is a good change). Paulo (manager) and Narayan were super hospitable and ensured that every little request is taken care of and that you are well looked after. I would recommend this to anyone traveling to Cambodia.
