Maison Polanka: "Escape the Maddening Crowd"

Review by: freemanelsie | Source: Trip Advisor
"Siem Reap has 1000's of visitors and hotel beds. Maison Polanka is by contrast an oasis in this tourist buzz. Great landscape, pool, rooms, food and service. Their wonderful staff arranged a fantastic guide who taught us a great deal about Khmer history and culture and pointed us in the right direction for shopping and dining out (tho dining in was perfectly wonderful). The only flaw in our stay -- we should have stayed 5 or 6 nights, so that we might have travelled further afield into Cambodia -- visiting Tonle Sap for example. We mentioned it was our husband's birthday, and the loveliest cake appeared, with a card signed by all the staff, all ""on the house."" Pure magic. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"

Sanak Retreat Bali: "Beautiful beautiful beautiful"

Review by: luv2ravel | Source: Trip Advisor
I don't know where to start but Sanak Retreat is super beautiful ! Do not expect party or night out nearby Sanak as this place is far from the usual tourist places but that's what make Sanak so special. A place for total relaxation. Very well designed, attention to detail in service and the design. Staff are very professional and super friendly. We eat there 3x a day as no restaurants nearby but we knew this and we love it. The view is amazing especially during sunset. They have beautiful spa and also offers some well tailored programmes (trekking, waterfalls trip and many others). I'm so happy and I'm booking again for my next visit this coming October :-) See you soon Sanak!

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Relax in luxury"

Review by: a visitor from ireland | Source: Trip Advisor
"From the moment you enter this resort you start to relax. The resort is well designed so you feel very secluded from other guests. We had a seaview room which was very comfortable. It was spacious and had a nice sit out area which was shaded at all times. The pool is magical with great views over the sea. We stayed for 4 nights and for most of the time we were the only guests as it was the start of the season. I started each day with the yoga, the instructor Anil is excellent and he was patient with this beginner. The food is very good, no western food on the main menu but they did offer to create some for us - but we couldn't resist the local dishes. The do have indian beer and wine but no cocktails or spirits. The staff were very attentive and we were looked after very well. The spa is an oasis of calm and I recommend trying some treatments, the therapists were great. The beach was lovely to walk along, easily accessible from the resort. It's not a private beach so we met some very friendly locals. I only left the resort once, for a short cycle on one of the hotel bikes which was fun. I'd love to return here and could easily stay for a week. Total relaxation in this beautiful oasis of calm."

Summertime Villa: "Amazing and Serene! Best place for a trip with a close bunch of friends"

Muang La Lodge: "Très beau petit hôtel en bordure d’un affluent du Mékong et de sources chaudes"

Review by: François H | Source: Trip Advisor
"Very nice small hotel (10 rooms) next to a tributary of the Mekong and hot springs pool and water (enough) hot for locals and hotel guests, 2 small private pools of hot water, 1 beautiful pool with private access to a river island with bars, etc. etc.! Do not miss the excursions in 4x4 in the beautiful mountain wilderness hosting different ethnic groups organized by the hotel with local English speaking guide! The entire staff except 2 Laotian manager. "

Tandjung Sari: "A Lovely Place to Stay"

Review by: SarahWeybridge | Source: tripadvisor.com
"The Tandjung Sari at first glance may appear to have been eclipsed by other flashier new hotels along the Sanur Beach. However it is all the things this hotel doesn't tell you on its web page which make it so special. The fantastic collection of Indonesian antiques that adorn this pretty hotel, the attentive staff, the amazing food from the kitchen and the sheer peace and calm would be hard to find anywhere else. The bar is manned by a pair of enthusiastic, fun loving mixologists who are constantly devising new drinks for the guests full of natural fruits (none of your nasty sugar based cordials). The breakfast choices were the finest we had ever had staying anywhere and so generous that you don't want to eat midday. Add to this the gentle patronage of the arts by the hotel's benevolent and kindly managers, which allows local children to practice their traditional dances within one of the bales and to perform for guests and you have a perfect, well priced vacation. This is a vision of old Bali. We will definitely be back. "

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Maybe one of the best over the world"

Review by: Chernandezdemiguel | Source: tripadvisor.com
"I stayed two nights at Four Rivers and it was a nice dream. This floating hotel is located in a beautiful jungle's river far away from everywhere. The rooms/tents are luxurious but not fancy. With private terrace over the river, you can swim in the fresh and clean water of Tatai's river. Also you can drink a beer while you're watching the jungle, the birds and the fishes. Food in 4 rivers is 5 stars and the staff also. Everybody is very professional and try to explain you everything about the jungle, the life in the nearest villages etc. They have many trips to discover the area. Don't miss the fireflies trip during the night, kayaking in the mangrove and the sunset cruise. So, everything is perfect in this ecolodge."

Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Highlight Of Cuisine In Bangkok"

Review by: nkozel | Source: Trip Advisor
This is an excellent restaurant, with beautifully executed Thai haute cuisine. And they are getting the press for their creativity and perfection, having just earned a rating as one of the Top 50 restaurants in Asia. We travel extensively, and seek spectacular food experiences. We were impressed with each dish in our evening, and further impressed with the very well done wine pairings. I’ve seen a few reviews on Trip Advisor criticizing the location and whatnot, but we found the experience and site to be beyond reproach. Highlights were many, but included the pandan cake dessert, the ant larvae course, the green chicken curry version that delighted with its inventiveness, and 2 starter courses, both of which set the tone for an international class dinner experience. We recommend this restaurant heartily, though note that this an international standard restaurant with international standard prices. All in, our dinner for 2 with wine pairings was about $200 (US). Excellent value, but well outside standard Bangkok pricing.
