Sukoon Houseboat: "Beautiful houseboat on a beautiful lake"
The luxury and service on Sukoon far exceeded any expectations. The lovely carved wood panelling and the comfort of the ensuite bedroom had the feel of a five star hotel. So glad we had opted to stay for five nights to fully enjoy the peace and tranquility of living on board. We were able to sit on the deck where we took delicious meals and where the excellent chef cooked breakfast to our request. The snow capped mountains in the far background completed the scene. The small shikara boats provided a delightful way to explore the lake and take us ashore to explore Srinagar. I cannot recommend Sukoon highly enough over all other houseboats we got to see there. Can't wait to go back.Heritage Suites Hotel: "Respite amid the bustle of Siem Reap"
"We enjoyed our stay at the Heritage Suites. Service is top notch, with water and a cool towel in the car that meets your flight. The staff were friendly and helpful, and liked to practice their English. Our room was spacious, with a seating area separated from the bedroom by a curtain. Turndown service brought fresh water and clean towels. It was quiet and the room was secluded from other rooms. Breakfast was great, you could order everything or one thing! Everything we tried was delicious. We took tuktuk into town for dinner, there was almost always one waiting, and the front desk would call for one at peak times. While the location is a little far from pub street, we enjoyed being away from the crowds. We chose the hotel because we wanted quiet and to make sure we had a good guide to tour Angkor and the surrounding Wats. The hotel arranged our driver and guide for 2 days. Our guide, Chan spoke good English. He was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the temples, culture, and history from him. The driver was cordial and knew when to offer cool towels and water. We exchanged email with the hotel tour desk before our arrival to ensure we saw the key sights we were interested in. Our one suggestion would be for Chan to be a little more communicative about what was next, so we would know whether to bring snacks or water with us. "SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "If I never eat out again before I die – I won’t have missed much"
"Early January found us in Yangon and birthdays to celebrate. Being treated to Seeds by our son and daughter-in-law was a gift beyond compare. The setting, the food and wine, the attention to detail all delivered with what appeared to be a comfortably casual air but so obviously wasn't. Felix and Lucia you are to be congratulated not only for your food but for the delightful attitude that you have bestowed upon your staff. Cocktails by the lake is the perfect starter to a truly wonderful dining experience. I would strongly recommend making Seeds a non-negotiable part of any visit to Yangon."The Apsara Rive Droite: "Schönes Hotel in zentraler Lage mit super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis"
Stock buchen"Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Beautiful, Calm and Relaxing"
"Stayed here with family in the second week of May. Though not the best period to visit this place (it being peak summer).....we had initially planned for 2 Nights, but then extended our stay by one more Night. We had booked 7 villas and everyone of us had a wonderful time. Firstly, thanks to Allaah, who made this possible. He is the best of planners. The property is just beautiful, with well designed villas, top class hygiene and very warm and courteous staff. Everyone, right from Front Desk, House Keeping to the Restaurant are very courteous and friendly. And the F&B Manager and the GM go the extra mile to make your stay memorable. Look forward to visit again, Inshaa Allaah - (God Willing)."Tugu Malang: "Super!"
"At Tugu Malang they really understand how to treat hotel guest. Such hospitality is rare but absolutely great. Each member of the staff goes the extra mile to please the guests. The hotel also doubles as a museum. It is really a fabulous place. Rooms are well equiped (not your standard decoration though). We also tried the restaurant: same story ... Staff is super helpful and friendly food ... A huge choice of dishes from malang street food, chinese, dutch and italian cuisine ... Pages and pages of dishes. The kitchen must be super organized because food arrives pretty quickly and was so really good. If you go to Malang.... This is the hotel to book"Cuca: "Best meal of the holiday by far"
"I came with my friend for her 30th birthday and it was absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend the tasting menu and the food was out of this world. Coupled with extremely tentative staff I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to couples, families and groups of friends. The wine and cocktails were fab, I had the apple cocktail served over a frozen apple and it was really yummy. We sat in the bar area watching the chefs at work and I think this added to the evening. Get yourself down to Cuca's you will not be disappointed."Locavore: "A must-experience in Ubud"
My husband and I had a truly memorable dining experience at Locavore during our honeymoon to Bali just two weeks ago. Not only is the food incredible and service superb, but the local ingredients provide such an amazing introduction to the place, time and history of this part of the world. We enjoyed dinner at Locavore on our first night in town and it colored the entire trip. In fact, we loved it so much that we stopped in at The Rooster (their bar across the street) and Locavore To Go (their grab-and-go spot just a few doors down) over the next few days. Do not miss this spot on your trip. Worth every single penny.Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Fantastic – book ahead"
"Booked on what I read here and was not disappointed at all. Great options and flavours. Two of us - we had one of the tasting menus each so we could try many dishes. Lots of great things, each dish was well thought out and presented. Well worth a go. Wine list good and priced well. Highly recommended."MesaStila: "Colonial-era dream"
This place is probably the most beautiful original place where we stayed in Indonesia. The location is just wonderful, surrounded by volcanoes and the forest, the villages around are also nice and authentic. We were based here while visiting the temples in central Java and although you need a car it's so worth it! We had booked one of their plantation villas but they upgraded us to a bigger room which was basically a house with a wonderful wooden terrace overlooking the jungle. The decor is simply amazing, it includes some antiques and follow the traditional Java style. The whole complex has been carefully renovated so that it maintains its Colonial era character and it truly does. We also had a nice walk in their coffee plantation and enjoyed the restaurant. The spa is really something else, not cheap but absolute luxury, definitely worth trying! We also found the service outstanding in every aspect, including room service. Wi-fi was also working well in the room.
